David was rude, dismissive and didn't want my business. Would give zero stars if I could. Go somewhere else, anywhere else and avoid this creepy place. Also he thinks he knows a lot more about jewelry than he does, I brought multiple pieces to be checked out and he said my solid brass bracelet was plated gold. When I gave the smallest amount of pushback saying "it's definitely not plated" that's when he became sour saying I must know more than him about jewelry than him and to Leave. This was all in the doorway I didn't even go into his shop. We didn't get to the rest of the pieces I had. But even though he was being dismissive and sarcastic he is probably right. I don't pretend to know a lot about jewelry but I know a little and if this guy can't tell the difference between brass and gold I doubt he has the eye to tell the difference between moissanite vs diamond, so if you're a buyer beware because this guy is definitely a victim of the dunning-Kruger effect, there's other jewelry dealers and pawn shops in the area, I had a much more pleasant experience just down the road and actually talked with someone who knew what they were talking about. read more

Last year I was in need of money to pay rent. I brought in some jewelry to pawn. David was so kind and friendly. He helped me out. There are some rules to respect as you enter his shop Ladies carry your purses in front as to not bump the wall to wall artwork. Don't lean on the glass cases Don't lean on wires from the computer and debit card reader payment machine. Lastly be polite and respectful David will help you as much as he can. I never write reviews, but of how bad the service was here I figured it was only right to leave one. As I rung the door bell and waited for someone to open the door, David barely cracked the door open and talked extremely quiet, I had an hard time hearing annythint he was saying. After I asked him to repeat what he was saying, He asked me what did I need. I told him I was interested in selling some jewelry, Before I could even show him the jewelry he proceeded to tell me there was no way to check the legitimacy of my jewelry, without even looking at it. David is super awesome. This place is super high security and lots of rules exist but if you can get past all that and the gaurd dog chihuahua Princess the quirks become adorable. This guy is running a museum and not a shop. Rules before entering "don't touch my paintings", "be careful of my glass cases". Was trying to look at display of knives and was quickly and RUDELY told nothing behind counter was for sale. Displayed items "not for sale", don't even look!?!? This was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in a business. The man who owns it is rude, demeaning and out right offensive. When I tried to come in to the store at 3:20 (normal business hours) he didn't even want to help us because he was taking lunch, but when we said we had gold to sell he was all willing to help us. The second my mother and I went to step into the store he literally barked at us to carry our purses in front of us and not normally because he didn't want us to knock things over (neither one of us is disabled or presented any threat of damaging anything in the store) he then proceeded to interrogate my mother about where her gold jewelry had come from (gifts from a past friend, which is completely legal to sell) and then criticized the pieces. He gave us a quote and when my mother expressed interest in purchasing a watch from him he told us he wanted to leave for lunch (at 3:20 in the afternoon???) and made us leave, telling us to come back after 5:30 a little before six because he had another client coming in to settle loans. We arrived back at 5:55 to a completely locked up store and when we came to the door he motioned to us to leave and that he was closed. When we reminded him that he told us to come back he unlocked his door raised his voice at us and told us he closed at 6:00 (it was only 5:55 the time he told us to come back at) and then proceeded to threaten and say that he was going to pay us TWENTY SIX DOLLARS LESS than the quote he had given us earlier. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone and have no idea how he is still in business since he possesses no social skills to deal with customers. read more

So me and my beautiful sister went to this place of business and the excperience was like nothing I have ever experienced in my life,the owner,the older gentleman was so rude to us for no apparent reason.He would not let my sister show him a ring she wAnted to look at cause he kept sharply snapping at her to not touch his glass,we were there to buy jewelry no doubt we had been wanting to go in there but once we got in there he was so very mean and cruel to us it honestly hurt my heart cause I do believe it was clearly prejudice towards us we are both of Filipino and Mexican decent and clearly this shows in our looks.Not once were we rude,loud,obnoxious,disorderly or in any way offense in our attire,so there was no reason to be this way,once we got the hint and could not take the harsh meanness we said out loud,"wow lets go he doesn't even want us here. "He then replied,"ya that would be best ,I was gonna have lunch anyway. "Mind you it was almost 2:30 in the Afternoon. I just really needed to let this be known cause it was very mean and hurt me inside especially for my sister,cause she didn't deserve that.
