My husband and I ate there on Friday August 11th at around 6pm and had the worst experience ever. Our waitress was not friendly at all and only checked on us one time. We had to ask for extra plates so we could visit the food bar. The food was nasty to say the least. My broccoli was cold and cheese didn't taste right. My husband said his steak was watered down like it had been floating in water for hours. The over all bar was just not up to standards. We were totally disappointed about our visit for sure. I visited this place a few months ago and while this used to be a favorite of mine and my family's, the new ownership has taken over and believe me it's changed. We first get in and grab a plate and set down at our assigned table. Not even a few bites in there are flys swarming the tables, and I look over and observe a bedbug crawling up the brick wall!! I immediately tell the waitress and she replies "let me move you to another table we have been spraying and will spray again tonight"! Not only was the employees aware of the infestation they still proceeded to let people eat there knowing bugs are actively infesting the facility. I never went back and won't return again, beyond sickening and plus saw ants crawling in the food bar. This place needs investigated by the health department and wouldn't even feed my dog from here!! read more

We always stop in Corbin on our way to Pigeon Forge. We decided to try David's Steakhouse and Buffet. Wow what a good decision!!!! Best catfish my husband and I have ever eaten. Can't even begin to list all that was served at the buffet. Everything was so well seasoned. The fresh pineapple really hit the spot. Service was fantastic, the manager was so personable. Friendliest staff you'll find. We never had to ask for anything. Ribeye was cooked perfect and tender with a great flavor. Exceeded our expectations! Our server Suzy was super attentive and we didn't have to ask for a refill or a plate. And the food was fantastic! This steakhouse has a fabulous selection of food on their buffet and they have the best salad bar in town. With plenty of room for people to sit and David's is a great place to gather with large groups if need be. STAFF I stopped by this restaurant coming back from Fort Knox. The staff was extremely Friendly and my waitress was very prompt with drinks and plates. Super great service! FOOD The medium rare steak was some of best I have ever eaten. The fried chicken was hot, juicy, and very flavorful. The salad bar had lots of FRESH veggies, meats, slaws, dressings., etc to chose from. There were lots of desert choices. I am not a big sweets eater, but they looked tasty. I wanted SO much for this place to be good. Things I liked: the old fashioned sign, the old fashioned aesthetics of the establishment. It truly felt like a restaurant I frequented back during childhood (I'm a sucker for nostalgia and this place had it!). The staff and waitress was also very nice and attentive. Now for the bad: bland flavored food that's room temperature at best. The steaks were leathery and hard. The vegetables had zero flavor, likely straight from a can. I even found a hair in my food and there were gnats flying around. The best tasting thing was either the rolls that the waitress brought or the soft serve vanilla ice cream from the machine. This is a buffet restaurant but you can order from the menu. My husband and I had the buffet at around $14 each. The food was rather institutional in taste and quality. There was little seasoning and the quality is what you would expect for all you can eat for $14. The service was efficient and friendly and the buffet tables were kept neat and filled. We went here yesterday and every plate we had was dirty. (either had actual spots of food on them or when you rubbed your palm against it you can feel the food grit left on). Some of the food on the buffet is good, except for the steak on the buffet that says medium well is well done and the ribs have a lot of fat on them. The banana pudding has very little bananas and the cake is too dry. I use to eat here years ago and the food was much better. Not worth $12.39 for Sunday buffett. Thank You for a great meal after a long day on the road. The food was, better than any buffet fare I've ever had. Steaks on a buffet? Yes and they were great. The fried chicken, likewise, was juicy and delicious. I also enjoyed soft serve over a chocolate syrup drizzled brownie. Total bill with tea, under 14 bucks. My server, Austin, was just a friendly cool dude who, had I had more time in Corbin, would've liked to have chatted with far more than I did. My only regret is that I, figuring it would be typical buffet food that we truckers are sometimes forced to settle for, didn't pre-charge a gratuitity on my bill when I paid in advance. They have the steaks piled in a warmer just like everything else .there are 2 pans and one is marked medium well and one medium rare. This is a nice buffet. Good crisp salad to start with quality fresh ingredients. If salad is your bag, this is the place in Corbin. Different types. All looked great but one has to choose--lol. Great selections for the main course. Steak cooked medium rare or medium, ham,catfish,hot dogs,liver & onions fried chicken. and the list goes on. Vegetables were fresh and well seasoned. Baked potatoes cooked to perfection. Mashed potatoes with white or brown gravy. Along with all the stuff normal to a buffet. Like corn and beans or Mac and cheese. And the yeast rolls that are a crowd favorite. Deserts were plentiful and had good selection. Puddings. Cake. Muffins. Cookies. That said, Excellent price and very nice servers. The food was good and hot. The cut cake desserts were very dry and couldn't eat. Since serving I recommend cut to order keeping moist. Didn't understand other area buffet style they have gloves and you serve yourself, yet they post the Governor says they must serve. Moving to a state with a great Governor to Kentucky with a horrible Governor it's just great to see a family business survive. Definitely go and support. The entire place was very clean, the floors, restroom, and buffet and salad bar area. The staff was friendly and even offered to get my husband and our daughter a drink in a to go cup. My only complaint is that it took around 25 minutes for my husbands food to arrive ( he always orders from the menu. Me, my grandma, and grandpa, and my sister visited David's Steak House to eat Thursday evening for a nice dinner like we did when we where little. The service at the beginning was great, nice people. But as we got seated my grandma pointed out how the floor was nasty, the windows had dust all over them, and the blinds where disgusting, and had food on them. After our first course we got up and got food, but as we did, I smiled at a lady that was pulling a cart back to the kitchen, but I had seen this woman a few times prior as well, anyway, she did not bother to smile back. When some people do not smile back, it ticks me off. After that, I went back to my seat, and after a few plates I got some ice cream as my desert to end my meal, and a brownie. The brownie to say the least, was falling apart in my hands, and was dry as powder. My grandpa came back with a piece of cake and said he never tasted the worst cake, than he tasted here. So it's safe to say, do not go here, if you don't want to get salmonella and food poisoning. read more

We ate lunch here today, for our 23 anniversary. I was very impressed with how they were following the Covid guidelines. The servers were all wearing masks and gloves. We had our covid shots. So l wasn't too worried about catching the pandemic. We were not allowed, to serve ourselves at the hot bar. No one was allowed to touch the serving utensils. But all of the hot and cold looked and tasted delicious. I ordered a steak and baked potato. I have never had a better tasting steak or potato. We were very pleased with our food and service today. My wife and I have been eating at David's Steakhouse for years and we always enjoyed their food and the employees. Unfortunately, that changed yesterday (July 10, 2020) at exactly 5:00pm. My wife is Asian, and she was the only minority in the establishment at the time. When we approached the food station, the skinny azz guy serving the food bellowed out at my wife. Clearly he was angry about something. He didn't apologize to her for his despicable behavior. The variety of foods was skimpy. We paid $23.85 plus a $5.00 tip for northing, except to be insulted by a person who shouldn't been serving the customers in the first place. He doesn't have the manners and respect to work with people. We should get our $23.85 refunded, but that won't happen. I don't expect we will ever eat at David's Steakhouse again. read more

It was a good sign to see a lot of cars outside in the parking lot, so we opted to stop here for dinner instead of fast food on the way home. All the food was either on the salty side or bland side. Regular buffet is $9.99 and they had a special prime rib dinner + buffet for $13.99. I would pass on the prime rib next time. It was very thin, cooked to medium, as requested, but the regular buffet filled me up just fine. Nothing spectacular about the desserts but the banana pudding was good, though it was mostly whipped topping. The servers were very friendly and one girl looks just like Cher Lloyd, minus all the tattoos. The food was fresh and was replenished often. And the buffet area was wiped clean frequently.
