My son got in a wreck on 7-3-25 which totaled his car, the police at the scene used David's towing to transport the vehicle to their lot. I looked up my rights before going up there to retrieve belongings, they were closed then & closed for the 4th of July weekend but still charged us for same day storage even though it's KY state law says they can't, (KRS 281.934(2)(c)) when I tried to make them aware of this they said "we can do whatever we want" so I've reported them to the attorney general! I was charged $315 for storage & tow even though they were closed and I couldn't retrieve the car. They absolutely take advantage of people, they charge what they want and I'm shocked the police department has a contract with such a shady business. If your car ever gets towed here I'm sorry for what your about to experience & the legal robbery that's going to happen! read more

Scammers! They towed our car from the street while we were out of town stating the city had called it in to be towed for expired registration. The car was parked in front of our house, and was definitely there on the 14th when we left town. Yet somehow they said they had picked up the car on the 8th, which was a lie, and were charging us $525 just to get our car back ($35/day) when we went to pick it up on 5/21. The title had not been transferred yet, and despite the new owner information being filled out, they would not release the car to us since it wasn't officially in our name. 2 days later, 5/24, we went with the old owner to pick up the car, and now the pickup fee is somehow $800 despite them stating it was a $35 fee per day. How the heck did they come up with $275 more for our car staying in that lot an extra two days, supposedly at $35/day. It should have been max $595, even though that price alone was technically incorrect since we know for a fact they didn't pick up that car until the 14th. This place is run by scammers and Jessamine County should be ashamed to associate them and continue to use them for government matters. read more

is there a better word than horrible? these people are liars, thieves and beyond rediculous to deal with! my son tried 3 times to get his belongings out of his fathers car that he wrecked. they gave him the run around and lied about their hours, said he could bring a photo id and a note from his dad saying he could get the items so the last straw was when his dad took off work on the 4th attempt they let him in and now lots of items missing!!!!! beware dont let them tow your vehicle if you wreck. they even steal pocket change. read more

Davids towing illegally holds personal propery. The insurance company for the at fault driver called and took responsibility of the car and bill. We then went down and signed the release form which released the car to the insurance company. The insurance company then said that it is standard procedure that they pay the bill when they pick up the car. David's towing still refused to release our personal property to us, even though we were not the ones responsible for the bill. We owed them nothing, therefore they had no legal right to hold our possessions. When we told the insurance company about this they were just as confused as we were. The insurance person even said "they are a tow company, they should know how this works". Well it seems David's towing does not know how the law works because they are illegally holding our personal property. They do have a legal right to hold the insurance company's property (the car) because the insurance company still owes them money. read more

Abhorrent customer service. Vehicle towed here after car accident. Although David's Towing clearly states on their website they accept VISA/MasterCard, they actually only take cash. Was told "sorry about your luck" when I said I only had a debit, credit card or check with me. Was charged $75.00 for 2 bags of Oil Dri when the car did not lose any fluids in wreck, nor did we witness driver put these down at the site. Hovered over and followed me around the car as I retrieved MY personal items. Was charged for 4 days of storage when car was actually there from late Saturday afternoon until Tuesday at business opening. (driver told us at accident site they are closed on weekends and to come in Monday). Was told "I was here Sunday from 9-11, you could have called". Perhaps David's Towing should post their business hours on their website while they remove their false debit/credit card acceptance information, as well as train their drivers to give accurate information. $250 bill and a nightmare of an experience. read more

Never, have I ever met a more rude person than the person who spoke with me over the phone & in person at David's towing. He spoke to me with such utter disrespect and completely tried to take advantage of what was an already horrible situation. It should be illegal to treat humans the way he treats people. He was a bully who tried to force me into doing things that weren't legal. He thinks he can bully people into giving him properties & vehicles. If I were him, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night after treating people the way he does. He is mean & obviously ignorant of the law. They tried to convince me that it happened in the wreck and when he said no it didnt I saw it before it was towed, he then claimed that he didnt do it that the handle was ripped off when he picked it up. read more
