On 10/10/22 I paid for brake kit (brakes/rotors), along with a brake fluid flush on my front end. Also requested oil change. Quantrell stated I required a $470 package for front/rear differential fluid flush, and trans fluid flush, claiming I was due based on time and mileage. Usually this is 3-5 years, or 30-60K miles. I agreed. Forgetting that I had previously had this work done this work 11 months prior, just 7K miles ago. This service was not needed. They also were not able to see my service records from out of state, so their statements of how much time had passed or miles I had driven were factually inaccurate. On 1/10/2023 I went back for a tire rotation and car inspection for a road trip. They sold me a rear brake kit (brakes/rotors), and another oil change. My inspection on 10/10/22 showed my rear brake pads at 6mm, and now they were stating they were at 2 & 3 mm, needing immediate attention. Had my car inspected on 3/10/23 & learned that Quantrell NEVER flushed or changed the brake fluid or changed the front brakes! I still have my brakes from 3 years ago on the car! They were measuring at 2-3mm. And the rear brakes are also my existing ones that were installed just 12 months earlier, and measured at 6mm. None of the rotors were replaced. My daughter noticed some smoke coming out of the hood so she had her Subaru towed to Quantrell because they have serviced it in the past and did a multi point inspection a few months ago. The service manger John gave her an estimate of almost $14,000. They said the head gasket was blown. I talked to John about our options and one thing that he said was that rather than me paying to have it towed one of the service techs would give me a few hundred for it so they would have a project car. I was thinking what kind of BS is this? My daughter picked up the car and Drove it to another service place for a second opinion and they determined the smoke was from a fried radiator fan $150 repair. They performed a pressure test to make sure no issues with that head gasket and as I expected there was no issue. She has been driving the car troubles free for over a month. Great experience! We are from out of state and had a check engine light come on our 2020 Outback while driving to KY. Called Quantrell and they could fit us in for a service appointment the next morning. When we arrived, we explained that we had an afternoon appointment and needed them to do the diagnostic and advise on a repair as soon as possible. Our service advisor Zach was understanding and very responsive. He got the diagnostic run right away and was able to have a service technician make our repair in three hours - got us back on the road safely and to our appointment on time. He kept us updated throughout the process and offered us transportation options if they could not fix our Outback in time. John from sales also came to talk with us while we were waiting and was friendly and encouraging. read more

I waisted my time and money dealing with these fools. My 2020 Crosstrek needed its BSD aligned and some recall work done but neither of those were done. they didn't order the recall part and said they were unable to align the blind spot because the paint was too thick on the sensors and the bsd bracket was bent. I took it home and fixed the bsd myself by bending the bracket back. read more

I wasn't here for service on my vehicle but with my mom for her. This place is top notch. The staff, Marlin (I think that was his name) was very courteous and professional, he had a great sense of humor. He was very attentive to get all the information needed in order for the techs to look at the issue my mom was having with her vehicle. At last minute she asked if they could also do a multi point inspection of her car and there were no issues getting that added. The estimated time of an hour was right on for how long we would be waiting. The customer waiting area is very cozy with a variety of seating options. They also have a kids area to keep the little ones entertained. Beverages to include bottled water and coffee are available as well as snack bars. Oh and they even have a jar of doggie bones in case you happen to be a customer with a service animal. They have thought of everything. While we were waiting I strolled around the lobby looking at the vehicles they had inside. I'm was presently surprised that I wasn't bombarded with salesman wanting to push a new vehicle down my throat. Wish I could say this about other dealerships. They are totally customer oriented and make sure you are taken care of. Glad my mom has a place to take her car where I feel she won't be taken advantage of. read more

There really isn't any words that can explain how awesome my sales person was and still is that I purchasing my car from. I wasn't blown away when I bought my used Outback a couple years ago from Quantrell and service & parts is average. We even had an issue where they messed up our defrost during a recall which almost caused me to have a wreck on the interstate. So when we started looking for a new car which at first was an Accent at first I called 14 dealers all around the country looking for not only my best deal but a good experience. I did call and stop in at Quantrell and was greeted by a salesman but same story. I just felt like a number. Nice person and they did their job but nothing to write home about. I stopped by another time and met Monica. Best thing that ever happened to me and is the reason I will continue to give my business to Quantrell because I know I have a relationship with someone there that truly cares about my family and their customers. Monica is everything you look for in a sales person. She was prepared, engaged, knowledgeable, upbeat, focused, responsive, & accountable. She went above and beyond and my wife and I were more than impressed and I'm not just talking about our initial visit. We ordered a car and worked with Monica for a few months. We had questions throughout the process and needed measurements and etc. Monica always got back with me with exactly what we needed. Found a nice used vehicle online and came to see it/ test drive it. Randy helped me out, gave me the car fax and service history and was really nice and non pushy which was great. I was afraid of going alone to see a vehicle because a lot of salesmen are super pushy and will talk you in circles trying to get the sale. We ended up with getting an inspection done and there were some things wrong with the vehicle so for now we've decided not to purchase. They did offer a bit of a discount to help compensate for the cost of the repairs. We haven't made a solid decision yet but we may end up going back. Just not sure yet. But I think it's a good place to buy used cars. Just make sure you get inspections done yourself so you know exactly what it may need ! read more

I mean it's pathetic Here are the issues that have occurred 1. The check in guy does not listen when I first got here he asked why I was here I said I have the 6000 mile service plan he said ok great service what do you need done I said just the basic 1st step that is on the plan oil change, tire rotation, gaskets etc at the end of the 20'min check in he said can you read me the last 6 or your vin number I told him then he told me "oh you have a service plan next time say that when you come in it will be much easier." 2. I watched the maintenance guy get into my car he started it...shit you not took it to 4K rpm shook his head like it sounded good then proceeded to stall the car 6 fucking times until I go up to the window and make his switch. I said "excuse me but if you don't know how to drive stick I'd rather you not learn on my car... thanks" 3. The next person comes and gets into my car to pull into maintenance bay after he put up on the lift I asked politely if I could take a picture of under my car because I wanted to see how the black paint was holding up on my exhaust system toward the gaskets I took the picture walked outside and stood there a couple of min just watching the guy notices me standing there and slams the garage door shut. So my point of view at the time was 5 open garage doors with 5 other cars then my car with the garage door shut What absolute shit service read more

This review is for Quantrell Subaru, 1450 E New Circle Rd, Lexington, KY. I've been coming to Quantrell since about January of 2019 when I moved to Richmond KY for school. I'm a big believer in aggressive preventative maintenance for what I know to be a quality vehicle (2015 Forester Premium - my personal goal is 500k miles) and I really do love my car, so I come in fairly regularly for services I don't have the time or equipment to do myself - but I change my own spark plugs, oil, air filters, light bulbs, battery, etc. if that tells you my level of mechanical ability. The quality of the services performed has been top-notch, no complaints whatsoever. The waiting room is excellent - quiet, cozy, and plenty of coffee and snacks. I've had several recall services performed and also some warranty work done, and I have zero complaints about both Quantrell and Subaru of America's coverage of what would have cost me quite a bit if I'd had to pay out of pocket. Several things they fixed weren't technically within the warranty period but when I called up Subaru of America and asked they helped me out with most of them anyway, despite being under no legal obligation to do so. I also want to mention how friendly and helpful everyone I've met has been. I've tried to take notes in order to thank everyone by name, but if I've missed anyone I apologize and I want to emphasize that not a single person I've interacted with has treated me with anything other than outstanding courtesy and respect. Mechanics Jeremy and Cody have personally come out of the shop and answered questions I've had multiple times. In the service department: Tony, Barry, Nicole, Natasha, Manasseh, John, Marlon, Chris, Ryan, Jacob, Bill, and probably others whose name I didn't catch have all been excellent to me. In the parts department, Carlos and Scott have been happy to give me prices and part numbers any time I call and ask. While I'm not currently looking to purchase another Subaru, salesman Roy and I had some great conversations and I wouldn't hesitate to send anyone who is shopping for one his way. This is my first Subaru, but I don't think it will be my last - and I'll certainly be coming back to Quantrell! read more

Assistance and service after the sell was on point. I didn't feel the "We've have your money; we no longer care," mentality that I've seen with some other dealerships in my lifetime. The finance department went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied following the discovery that my credit union beat all interest rates offered through Quantrell's cue of lenders. They halted the paperwork with their lender a week later and worked with me to transfer the auto loan to my own lender. I did however, feel the sting of paying 126% of the book price for the vehicle. The salesman would not budge on the price. Considering the previous owner had purchased the vehicle at Quantrell as well and had likely traded it in there, there is a good chance that Quantrell came out well ahead on this vehicle twice in its lifetime. This is especially true knowing that it is rare for someone to receive book value from a dealership when trading in their vehicle. Given this, I was quite surprised at their stinginess when they denied my request for road hazard and/or rotate and balance for the brand new tires on the vehicle I purchased--a certified pre-owned 2013 Subaru Outback. *Within the first month a,d 1.5k miles, the low oil light came on. It had used a quart of oil. After and additional 750 miles the car threw a check engine light, the culprit? Clogged catalytic converter from burning oil. They offered to practically rebuild the engine and gice an extended warranty under the excessive oil consumption class actio lawsuit. I made them take the car back and unwind the deal. They did, but didn't offer me any better one after all the problems. read more

I felt so SCREWED. Brought car in due to noise and clunking when driving. Estimate over $3900 to repair. Did not have the money for that so picked up car and it costs $46 for them to have looked at it. I spent so much time waiting for them to complete their paperwork before I could pick up the car, I should have charged them for my wait time. Took car to Charlie's Auto Center 859-254-1593. He got on all fours and looked under the car. Drove it for about 30 seconds, told me what was wrong. Charged me nothing for that. So Quantrell charged me $46 for about 2 minutes of work! We decided to have Charlie fix it. His total charge was $1800 for the same repair as Quantrell was offering for $3900+. Did not receive fast or courteous service at Quantrell and had an immediate feeling that they were out for money. I was correct and glad they only took me for $46. A lesson learned and I hope this helps you keep your money in your pocket. read more

I brought my car in because my heater was blowing cold air and the temperature adjustment knob would no longer turn all the way to the left. This was after a different Subaru dealership service shop replaced the airbag and left me with a non-functional heater. The airbag replacement happened at an out of town location so I thought I'd bring it here to have it looked at. After about 2 hours of waiting, they told me the entire heater box would probably need to be replaced and that meant at least 6 hours of labor (at $100 per hour) plus parts and who knows what other charges they'd throw in there. I was told it would likely end up being between $1200-1500 for the repair. Even though I was driving around in freezing cold weather with nothing but cold air blowing, I decided to wait on it and take it to my regular mechanic to get their take on it. My local mechanic at Import Auto Specialist fixed it in 15 minutes and charged me $25 as it was simply a connection that wasn't replaced properly when the airbag was replaced. My heater and temp knob are now back in proper working order. I went to Quantrell Subaru to speak with the folks there and let them know. All I got were excuses. They even said "I don't know what they did but it wasn't as simple as a loose connection." I was floored. I told them "well, I trust them, they obviously know what they're doing and have no reason to lie to me especially a lie that ended up with my car being fixed and barely any money out of my pocket." Never once was there an apology or an offer to reimburse what I paid for the diagnostic. Its places like this that give good, honest, hard working mechanics a bad name. I would rather push my car into the Kentucky river than ever let this place touch it again. read more

We love Subaru cars. We are on our third subaru and when we purchased it (used) we spent thousands of dollars on a warranty (that covered most things including engine and transmission problems). We felt most comfortable bringing it to the Lexington Subaru dealership thinking that they would be the best and know their stuff. That was by far the BIGGEST mistake we made. The Quantrell Subaru Service department is negligent at best and dishonest and discriminatory at worst. After having our Tribeca for about six months my husband started to hear noises that sounded like the transmission was having issues. Whenever we'd bring it in and they would brush us off and say it was something else.  I have at least five separate notes from the dealership even stating this fact. We got in service again back in the beginning of March to hopefully fix our transmission issues once and for all.They said it was our Transmission mount so they fixed that and we hoped that would be that. Well as soon as we got it back my husband heard the noises again. He contacted the service guy and never heard back.We would have gotten it back in immediately except for covid19 slowed us down a bit. We get it back in only two months later. They called us and let us know that our warranty is expired and our entire transmission needs to be replaced along with some other issues.... our bill ...over 10 Grand.WHAT?! They were just working on it and our Warranty covered all of this! On top of that they never gave us the paperwork for the inspection we had done the past two times we had it in. My husband had to go to the manager to get that paper work printed off ( to see if they had even done the inspections) and spoke to him about the issues we had been having with service. The paperwork showed that there were transmission issues ect but they verbally told us different. They said there weren't any!! Why they heck would a shop change the transmission mount but leave a whole slew of problems especially when the warranty covers fixing all of these things?!  The manager seemed helpful at first and said they would give it another test drive ect but NOTHING came of that. We called corporate and we just brushed us off since our vehicle is older. I have NO DOUBT that if we had used a different and HONEST shop our vehicle would be fine right now. We would have had everything fixed instead of being left with close to a 13 thousand dollars worth of stuff that needs to be done. DO NOT use the subaru service especially if you have a warranty. We hear great things about Tony's and will be using them in the future. It's too bad subaru service is so god awful when their cars are wonderful. Stay away from these shady people..they don't care about their customers. AT ALL. read more

I recently purchased a vehicle from the pre-owned car lot. I brought the vehicle in for a dash replacement (which was agreed upon prior to purchasing the vehicle) and Tim, my sales consultant and Donnie my sales manager tried to pull one over on me and put on a dash skin, rather than replace the entire thing. It didn't even look professional. I immediately brought the vehicle back in to get it removed, and they tried to give me the run around. I am just very disappointed in the service here at the dealership and would not recommend anyone to the pre-owned car lot. I have tried to contact the vice president and the general sales and service manager (which was highly recommended) and I have yet to hear back from either of them. I took my car in to have the catalytic converter replaced several years ago. When I came to pick up my car the windshield was cracked. As soon as I got into the car it was obvious. The service people acted as if they knew nothing about it. They repaired it without any expense to me. Today I took my car to have the coolant changed. I was quoted a price of $71 over the phone. When the car was ready the service adviser said it was $216. I strongly objected and the service adviser disappeared for 5-10 minutes. When he returned the bill was correct. These folks are either incompetent or scammers. I own 2 Subarus but this dealer will get no more of my business. read more

They offered to bring my car to Louisville or I could come pick it up. I was excited to get it so I picked it up there and Val spent about an hour with me showing me the features of the vehicle. I purchased my Subaru Forester at another dealership, but have my service done at Quantrell because it is closer to home. I was able to select the appointment time most convenient for me via their online appointment booking service. The service staff were friendly and helpful when I checked in and gave me a reasonable estimate ($$ and time) for the service. The customer waiting area was clean and has a play area for children, although there were none while I was there. There was complementary coffee and a vending machine nearby with soda, water and snacks. The entire service experience was pleasant. I will be back when next due for service. read more
