Pearce's Farm Stand is so much more than a place to pick up produce--it's a full-on family…read moreexperience that our kids (and we!) absolutely adore. From live music and wagons to pull/ride to fresh samples and pumpkins (fall), every visit is packed with wholesome fun and unforgettable memories. The farm stand is incredibly kid-friendly, with a large play space featuring real (retired) farm equipment to climb on and hay castles to explore. Our kids could spend hours there! They especially love riding in the wagons, sampling treats like juicy watermelon and soft peanut butter cookies, and dancing to the live music. And we have to mention the sweet corn--it is hands-down the BEST we've ever had. Perfectly crisp, fresh, and flavorful, it's a summer must-have and reason enough to stop by all on its own. In the fall, Pearce's turns into a magical wonderland. Last year, our daughter (who had just turned two) remembered every single detail from our visits--so much so that returning in 2025 was a top priority as soon as they opened for the season! We also really appreciate the farm's $3 "ugly" or overstock veggie bags--a great way to get fresh produce at an amazing value while cutting down on food waste. It's thoughtful touches like this that make Pearce's a favorite not just for the fun, but for the values behind it. If you're looking for a place to make lasting family memories, enjoy local food, and support a fantastic small business, Pearce's Farm Stand is a must-visit. We're already counting down to our next trip!

She was always there to answer questions and helped us get mom's furniture into a charity. She and Amy are just wonderful. Sue even got us a much higher price than I was thinking! There are NOT ENOUGH STARS for the level of expertise, empathy, follow-through and professionalism…read moreSue, Amy and their entire team bring to the table. Sue answered the call to help market an extremely overstuffed and undermaintained home when my elderly parent needed to go into assisted living. She took on a tight selling window and some *exceedingly* tricky family dynamics with grace, aplomb, and supreme market insight. Thanks to the Sue Pearce team, some key takeaways: - Sue did an initial walkthrough on a Sunday and showed tremendous sensitivity in front of the homeowner. - Sue promoted the home to her network and had walkthroughs happening the very next day. - Sue and Amy rolled up their sleeves, brought boxes and even called in reinforcements to get the home cleaned out in only a week -- an absolutely superhuman effort. - Before the home even officially listed on the MLS, we had multiple competing offers. - Sue made professional recommendations, we secured the highest bidder, and then proceeded smoothly through a lightning-fast close without incident. At every moment during this process, Sue comported herself with total equanimity and responsiveness as if we were her one and only client. Sue single-handedly transformed an incredibly stressful experience into a swift, successful resolution. It's impossible to recommend her highly enough.

No trip to Wisconsin is complete without a ceremonial smuggling of a trunk-full of New Glarus beer…read more This magical brew is only available in the cheese state and in high demand around the country. When visiting family in Milwaukee, you MUST make a stop to stock up on this craft brew. The New Glarus Brewing Company was founded by Deborah Carey as a gift for her husband, Daniel. Before starting the New Glarus Brewing Company, Dan Carey was an experienced diploma master brewer. Today the company brews a variety of beers, with its Spotted Cow label leading in sales. New Glarus brewing employs about 90 people today. The brewery made the choice to pull out of Illinois sales effective 2003 leading to the sale of New Glarus beer 'Only In Wisconsin' for all time. So enough about the beer now on to Piggly Wiggly. First off, that name is amazing. I've heard of the chain before and know that it's quite reputable. On our drive from Milwaukee to St. Louis, this particular Piggly Wiggly is the PERFECT stop for a beer pickup. The alcohol selection at Piggly Wiggly is amazing! There were so many amazing craft beer selections, all of which were Wisconsin based! The Piggly Wiggly had every selection available from New Glarus. From Spotted Cow to Moon Man, we had so many options. There were also so many other brewery options. We got beers from Point brewery and also from MKE Brewery and Great Dane. Loved their focus on local. As for the actual grocery portion of this store, I can't comment too much. We walked around briefly and it was... a store! We did want to buy some pretzels for our journey, but there were only two lines open and they were packed. Would have loved to have seen more lanes open to get patrons through quicker. At the end... my biggest feedback is that if you're driving south from Milwaukee and are looking for a quick stop to get New Glarus beer to enjoy at your final destination, Piggly Wiggly is your best bet.

I am giving this rating 5 stars based solely on the helpfulness of the store manager, Donna. She…read morereally came through for me! I had originally come into the store in hopes of purchasing a pair of Caleb hurricanes and some pillows that I had fallen in love with in their catalog. When I arrived, it was a hectic Saturday and although she was obviously overwhelmed with issues all around her, she took the time to locate the pillow covers which were not on the floor, within minutes. So far, so good. When it came time to locate the hurricanes, however, they only had one in the store (display piece) so she took a lot of time calling around and finally found some for me to put on hold at another store nearby. Not only did she do her job really effectively and quickly, but she genuinely seemed really happy to find them for me! She made me feel like a valued customer. Unfortunately, when I did show up to that store, (Geneva Commons) they had completely dropped the ball and didn't have them, their manager pretty much jumped ship after I asked about them, and left me with a seemingly new and wet behind the ears employee to help me, which resulted in a wasted trip, no hurricanes, NO SOLUTION. UGH. I was actually baffled at how terrible their service was in comparison to Oak Brook. SO. I was on a mission to nail down these darn hurricanes if it was the last thing I would do. The following day I returned to Oak Brook knowing Donna could help me out since online they were backordered until May! She again took the time to painstakingly call around and locate a pair in Michigan! She patiently waited while I was on the phone giving them my shipping info (this was about a 20 minute ordeal on a busy Sunday) and she was kind enough to insist they waive the shipping fee for me. Yay! I left happy! So thank you, Donna, for helping me get all the products I wanted, they look beautiful in my home!

Extremely Disappointing Experience…read more I purchased my living room furniture from Pottery Barn in October, and as of today, they still have not completed the replacement of the defective cushions. What should have been a simple resolution has turned into an incredibly frustrating ordeal. The replacement process has been unnecessarily bureaucratic, slow, and exhausting, requiring constant follow-up with no sense of urgency or accountability. For the price Pottery Barn charges, I expected not only better quality, but also a much higher level of customer service when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite. The value simply does not match what you pay. And if you happen to receive a defective product, be prepared for an extremely frustrating and lengthy process to get it resolved. After this experience, I would think twice before making another major furniture purchase from Pottery Barn.
