This is not a typical large chain hotels with large lobby area with couches and chairs for guests to wait and rest. You walk 5 steps inside the hotel main entrance, and you are at the hotel counter. I see the security cameras and hotel computer all on, but no one in sight. I thought this hotel was abandoned for some time until I found person laptop in the breakfast/office space to the left of the check-in counter; however, this room was stuffy and hot - You couldn't stay in there for more than few minutes without feeling yucky. I yelled for help and went to look for someone by the elevator and first floor hotels, but NO ONE came - I repeat "NO ONE". After waiting, what it felt like, forever, a young lady came down from the elevator, with no apologies, and checked us in. I was already ticked off by the time I got the keys. Second issue we faced was that the hotel room door was damaged so that we weren't able to lock the door. I called the guest service for help, and the employee who checked us in was still at the counter to send someone in for help. The help didn't know what was wrong with the door, so we had to switch the room. This could have been an one-off situation, but I was thoroughly unimpressed. Location is very close to highway, so it's ideal. But my experience was not good, and I will be going to another place for my next visit in the area.

So clean, convenient and wonderful for our pets. Check in was a breeze - we got a first floor room as requested. The parking lot was lit and spacious. The room itself had a full-size refrigerator and a mini kitchen with two queen beds and of course a bathroom. Which had a hair dryer and plenty of towels and sundries. Everything was perfect I highly recommend and have already recommended to friends who travel Between WNY and Florida and need a rest spot.

They delivered it, but it was still annoying. I loved the staff at Sophia's. They were so friendly. For sure stop in there for a cocktail. The room was comfortable. I love the funky side tables. We did complain about a certain smoky smell, the issue was addressed immediately. We were promised a credit that never materialized. When we checked out, we were offered bag service again (elevator still down), that also did not come to pass. We figured out that the same guy that was running the valet was also responsible for bag service. Impossible for one person to do both tasks efficiently and concurrently. This was a nice hotel, but definitely not Michelin Key level (we have stayed in many).

One of our favorite surprises was the complimentary happy hour from 5-6 p.m. in the lobby, featuring a selection of wines, a specialty cocktail, and appetizers. The hotel also has an excellent on-site restaurant, Angeline's, as well as Merchant & Trade, a rooftop bar with a great atmosphere and beautiful views. Beyond that, the Kimpton offers complimentary bikes, a well-equipped fitness center, and so many thoughtful amenities that made our stay even more enjoyable. The location couldn't be better--it's centrally located in Uptown Charlotte and within easy walking distance of so many restaurants, attractions, and entertainment. We had such a wonderful experience and are already looking forward to staying at more Kimpton locations in the future!

Based on the hotel's branding, marketing, photographs, and premium pricing--nearly $400 per night--I expected a genuine luxury experience. Instead, what I encountered felt more comparable to a low-tier motel than a four- or five-star boutique hotel. The disparity between what is advertised and what is actually delivered is staggering. From the moment we arrived, the experience fell apart. The valet area was cramped, chaotic, and inefficient. Check-in took over 40 minutes despite having a reservation. For a hotel charging premium rates, this is unacceptable. The bellman was kind and courteous, and we tipped him because he genuinely tried. However, he appeared to struggle with the physical demands of handling luggage. My criticism is not directed at him but at management, who should ensure employees are placed in roles they can safely perform. The reception staff were pleasant but lacked the professionalism and attentiveness expected of a luxury hotel. The lobby was surprisingly small, overcrowded, and underwhelming. Aside from an attractive chandelier, there was nothing elegant or memorable about the space. Unfortunately, the disappointments only continued. Our key card failed immediately, requiring another trip downstairs. The room itself was untidy. The bed appeared carelessly made, while the towels and linens were rough, stiff, and uncomfortable. The minibar area looked cluttered and neglected. There was no microwave, and after requesting one, it did not arrive until the following morning. Even then, it was a tiny dorm-style microwave that felt completely inconsistent with an upscale hotel. The refrigerator emitted such a strong foul odour that it was unusable. Bottled water stored inside absorbed the smell and became unpleasant to drink. No guest paying luxury prices should ever encounter something so unhygienic. The room was also much smaller than expected and carried an unpleasant odour throughout our stay. The advertised city view was equally misleading. Rather than overlooking Charlotte's skyline, we looked primarily at rooftops and neighbouring buildings. One member of our party is disabled and specifically requested a room with a bathtub well before arrival because it was an important accessibility accommodation. Despite making that request in advance, we were told upon arrival that no such room was available. That was both frustrating and unacceptable. Housekeeping presented another challenge. During our stay, we were unable to communicate even basic requests because no staff member we encountered spoke enough English to understand us. Every employee deserves respect, but management has a responsibility to ensure guests can effectively communicate their needs through multilingual staff or translation resources. The restaurant was another major disappointment. The food lacked quality, presentation, and flavour, feeling more like inexpensive takeaway than fine dining. The bar was excessively overpriced while offering very little atmosphere or hospitality. Even as paying hotel guests, we never felt welcomed or valued. Valet became another frustration. When we needed our vehicle for an event, we were told the wait would exceed 40 minutes. Rather than risk arriving late, we paid for an Uber while our own vehicle remained inaccessible. Premium valet prices should come with premium service. Perhaps most shocking was the lack of amenities. For nearly $400 a night, there was no pool, no proper guest lounge, and no meaningful communal space to relax. The tiny lobby doubled as everything, creating a crowded atmosphere rather than a luxurious one. Luxury is not defined by expensive room rates or carefully edited online photographs. It is defined by cleanliness, comfort, attentive service, accessibility, thoughtful amenities, and an experience that justifies the price. In my opinion, Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel has invested far more in marketing than in the actual guest experience. Charlotte has numerous outstanding hotels that provide genuine luxury and far better value. I strongly encourage travellers to consider those instead. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone seeking the experience it promises. In my opinion, Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel is all hype and very little substance. Save yourself the disappointment, save yourself the frustration, and most importantly, save your money. This hotel simply does not deliver the luxury experience it advertises.

When I walked in my room, I was greeted with a handwritten note welcoming me back (I had done a photo shoot of the grand opening) with a bottled water. And the reception called me immediately and asked was my room OK. Is my room OK? Are you kidding me, it has a separate bedroom, a kitchenette, couch and two flat screens. Full size fridge!! Free Internet. A big comfy bed. Black out shades, which are sent straight from heaven. The minute I walked in, I sent Billy a text with a photo (of the room) telling him to get to the Hotel Sierra! I guess it's not everyday you get a text from your wife asking you to meet her in a hotel. Scandalous.

The pull out bed did not have any bedding and when we called they only brought us sheets, no blankets. They brought them up the next time though. They also closed breakfast early. If you want breakfast you will have to get there sooner than 10 minutes before they close. Overall, it was a pretty good experience! This hotel is right next to Time Warner Cable Arena and you can walk anywhere Uptown. They also have robes you can use. My favorite part about the hotel was the room set up. Our room had a FULL refrigerator, a two burner stove and a microwave. Very nice layout too. There is also a little store here that sells some random stuff. I would recommend this hotel for long term stays. I did not eat/drink at the restaurant at all.

First of all, its very affordable. Cheaper than Candlewood suites and I believe it was the least expensive suite hotel in Mooresville. I'm sure how many rooms it has, but it features two floors with a breezeway in the middle with seating areas and a grill that's available for use by guests. The room we had was very comfortable. It features the normal amenities that suites has (kitchen, couch, etc.) TVs in the bedroom and living room. Room cleaning is only once a week, but that's honestly preferable if you like your privacy. It's within a half miles of lots of restaurants, shopping, and other establishments (gentleman's club just outside of the parking lots if you're into that). It's good for long or short term stay. Most people staying there seem to work most of the day and go to bed early, so it's very low key compared to most hotels.

It is gorgeous. Love that the pool area is more spa pool vibes with spa music. Hot tub is turned on by a button panel on the wall. Inside the hot tub there is a place to turn up or down the intensity of the jets. The hot tub has pretty colors in it from the underwater lighting. There is a great array of seating without feeling crowded. Meticulously cleaned. Like any time of day the indoor pool space was clean. I do like what they use instead of chlorine it was more gentle on my hair and skin. TV is a bit below average. Streaming speed is pretty slow. Limited on which streaming services that can be accessed. Additionally, the volume jumps a lot like the tv can be unable to be heard you turn the volume up and it is good. Then a second later it is super loud. Spouse said most modern tvs have an auto feature that manages this. But this is on Marriott and not the hotel as with some research it showed this is a pretty common issue most folks have about the tvs. We are buying a Roku stick to try and use in the future to access other streaming services we pay for at home. The beds are better than other hotels in the Marriott family but spouse and I still find them a bit uncomfortable. I would like to have them a more memory foam material than the spring with pillow top. Wardrobe was awesome it is a nice size. Lights up when the doors are opened and has a pretty floral scape along the back of it. I was able to keep my carry on sized suitcase in there. Spouse was able to hand my dress and his sports coat and pants for event we were going to. Room had plenty of counter space in the room and bathroom. This was great. Oddly there seemed to be drums that started playing outside at like 9am on Saturday that woke us both up. There was a wedding going on that weekend and I know they had some breakfasts not sure if there was maybe a morning ceremony too? Noise didn't last super long but woke us both up. The windows you can hear a fair amount of noise through from the street. Ordered room service I think 3 times. Very excellent experience each and every time. Each item was cooked perfectly and things like grilled chicken breast were still juicy and not overcooked. My K Lounge review will be separate from hotel but same 5/5. We enjoyed our stay. Staff and overall care of the hotel cleanliness wise made it even better.

The food was underwhelming, and it took 40 minutes for a turkey BLT, no napkins, it was an overall poor experience. We wanted to enjoy the hot tub but the jets were broken. You'd think everything would be fully functional in a hotel/spa of this caliber. I don't mind paying an automatic service charge when service is actually provided, but that wasn't the case here. I find that staff is less likely to care when the gratuity is automatic, which held true at this spa. The spa itself is beautiful, serene, and well designed. Our technicians, Renata and Kieyan, were professional, warm, and truly the highlight of the entire visit. If I were rating solely based on them, it would be a full five stars. If you're only looking for a great massage, I'd recommend this spa. If you're seeking a full luxury spa experience, go elsewhere.

The house was decorated with a mix of modern and antique and there was a Butler's Pantry with a mini fridge coffee air fryer electric tea kettle and absolutely all the fixings you could want. The gardens were gorgeous and I lost count of the different places you could sit. Breakfast we had a choice of bacon eggs grits or cinnamon white chocolate chip pancakes with sausage. If you are in a couple or if you are single and need a night away this is the place! I definitely plan to go back. I may go alone for a retreat! The owner is very personable and well organized.
