Davinci has a wonderful selection of gorgeous custom gates and it was hard to decide which one to choose! My husband worked with Eva and she was SUPER responsive to our request for quotes for a couple custom gates. Pricing seems quite reasonable. We considered Davinci seriously especially after considering a very positive review from a member in the Zone Zero San Diego Facebook group who bought one of their gates a few years ago. In the end--we end up going with wrought iron with a local fence company because it matches our home/community better and of course having those gates delivered/installed is a lot easier for us. The company was easy to work with for a very custom design. However there were some significant quality issues with the finished product that the company says are normal and expected. The cuts, even straight lines were very jagged and cutouts that were meant to be circles or ovals were just a jagged blob. When I asked about this quality issue, the company stated that this was caused by "fluctuations in voltage, air currents and movement of the machine" and that this is "normal and expected quality". They were awesome to work with and we're very pleased with our custom gate and fence order. Initially I found them on Etsy and when I saw that they were located in Chula Vista, I thought "Wow, that's nearby, I'll drive over and take a look." Best decision ever! Their factory/showroom is a great place to see the products up close and get some inspirations. Eva, the sales person that I had been in communication with, was patient and responsive. She took her time with helping me plan and draw up my design. I enjoyed working with her a lot - it was a rather fun and creative process. I purchased a gate from this company. I was told that the powder coat would not rust. The gate has been installed for less than six months and it is rusting at edges of cuts of design and at the seams. The powder coat is poor and not holding up. The company is ignoring me. I have emailed and called but no response. To fix this I'm going to have to have the powder coat redone. That's going to be expensive, un-install and re-install and cost of powder coating with a reputable company. I do not recommend this company. Nice design but poor execution and no service. read more

The good: Price Metalwork craftsmanship Dimensions were accurate The bad: Communication - never answers phone. It is all over email with a couple of days for each reply. Emails are generally unfriendly - take it or leave it sort of thing Took longer than they said Agree with others that say powdercoating is poor quality, especially for the price that add for it. My gates are rusting but I will probably live with it. If you the time and a truck - use Bradford Powder coating in Chula Vista. I guess I would use them again for gate but not powder coating. read more

We drove to their showroom the next day and found everyone to be very helpful. The important part of this review is the quality of their product. They have many designs and their finishes are very well done. They obviously take pride in their product. We have the most beautiful custom gate from Davinci. They were very reasonably priced, with a quick turnaround and now all our neighbors are jealous. :) absolutely one of my favorite purchases ever. I will start off by saying WOW. I live in Dallas and ordered a gate from Davinci gates. All communication was done by E-mail. They answered every E-mail within 24 hours. Most of the times it was answered within a few hours. They walked me through ever step and sent plenty of picture to help me pick out a pattern. After i bought the gate it arrived about 20 days later. It was very nice , and the quality was great. I would highly recommend working with Davinci gates.
