I decided to get a second opinion, and that dentist confirmed I DO have a cavity, and said if I had waited any longer, I would've needed a root canal. Thankfully, they're trying to save it with a filling. I'm extremely upset that I was ignored here. It felt like the dentist just didn't want to be bothered. A year or so later, my husband went in for a cavity repair, was injected with anesthetic, dentist made him wait in chair another two hours, by the time the dentist came back to do the repair the anesthetic began to wear off while he repaired the tooth, it wasn't terrible pain but it was a bit painful. Then we both began to experience appointment changes at the request of the dentist. Both of us received phone calls advising the hygienist would be out so we needed to change our appointment dates. We accommodated but as the new re-scheduled appointments approached we received another call requesting another change. Then as our third re-scheduled appointment times came near we received a phone call the day before advising us that our dental insurance would no longer be accepted as the dentist decided to terminate his participation, but we could keep the appointments and be self pay. Needless to say we cancelled our appointments and will no longer go to or recommend this dentist!

He spent only a couple minutes giving us fillings and didn't bother to make sure we could bite down properly afterward. (My new dentist takes his time, uses special "bite pressure" strips to see where he needs to "file down" the filling, in order to ensure I can bite down normally afterward.) Vesoulis claimed from the beginning that the filling would "wear down" and I'd be able to bite down normally after a while.... The last time I got a filling, it fell out 3 days later while I was eating a (soft, squishy) sandwich. (In other words, he did a crappy job and I did nothing to make the filling fall out.) On top of that, he seems to like pressuring you to get fillings to begin with. My whole family didn't like him. We're so happy at our new dentist, who treats us like family, takes his time, and doesn't pressure us to get unnecessary work done.
