The company advertises "professional, reliable, trained experts," but the service has been anything but that from day one. From the very first visit, the quality of work was disappointing. The man who arrived performed work that honestly could have been done by a teenager for a fraction of the cost, yet we were charged nearly $300. When I asked basic lawn care questions, his trained expert opinion was he wasn't sure. Completely unsure and unable to provide answers! They also promise advance notice before arriving, but they have failed to do so repeatedly. Crews have shown up as late as 8PM on a Saturday without any communication. Most concerning, while we were out of town, they SOMEHOW entered our LOCKED backyard without permission. We never authorized access, and entering a locked yard without consent is completely unacceptable and felt like a violation of our privacy. On top of that, the work itself is careless. Weeds along the sides are ignored, grass clippings are left piled around the house. For the amount they charge, the service is nowhere near worth it. This company requires full payment for the entire season upfront, but when we tried to cancel due to poor service and requested a refund since they would not be completing a full season worth of services, we were told "sorry wish we could help you, but the money has already gone to operations". Despite multiple requests, I have yet to receive documentation supporting the alleged "verbal no refund would be issued agreement". To make matters worse, during one of my calls, I overheard another customer expressing similar frustrations with the company's service!! Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere. Would not recommend this company to anyone!!!

Finally, I tried to look up their business on the BBB of Denver. They are not listed. All flags I think you should consider before you move forward.

Updating review as events unfold. Yesterday our landlord forwarded a "Courtesy Notice of…read moreNon-Compliance" from the HOA, citing excessive weeds on the perimeter of the property. The HOA took pictures four (4) days after the landscape services were done. On JCB's initial walkthrough I had pointed out as in-scope for the project the weeds on the perimeter. I should mention we allowed JCB to use their proprietary blend of weed killer instead of the Captain Jack's Deadweed Treatment I purchased. Alex told me she blended her own, and offered to return and re-treat if it didn't kill the weeds. She did return and do another treatment. I was happy that she did this, but TBH I couldn't tell how effective it was. Unfortunately the perimeter weeds appear to have been left untreated OR they were treated but the treatment didn't work. I texted JCB and showed them the message from landlord. No response. I texted with the HOA notice. No response. I texted saying we were going to need a better weed solution. No response. I texted requesting an estimate to re-treat. (Note that I didn't request this work for free). No response. My phone indicated the texts were received and read, so why no response? Weed removal is a beast. They grow back, I get it. But I shouldn't receive a notice from the HOA four days after spending $980 on landscaping services! In light of the above events, the value we received from JCB in exchange for cost drops considerably.

JCB came out a few weeks ago to take down a large tree in my yard that was not doing well. They were great to work with, showed up when they said they would, communicated through the whole project and billing was more than fair. I feel slightly bad writing this review because Dan is a nice dude and he knows his stuff on…read moreplants, but I do feel the need to warn others. When he fertilized my lawn, instead of applying fertilizer only to the grass, he drove the fertilizer spreader all over my new concrete walkways, leaving dozens of ugly rust stains everywhere. I have spent hundreds of dollars on power washing and other attempts to resolve it and such attempts have made the problem worse, so I now have rust + discoloration all over my walkways, which is a major eyesore. It will cost me many thousands of dollars to fix this problem that Dan caused, since I will need to rip out and reinstall 3 new concrete pathways and a giant patio. Dan's response was extremely disappointing, he did not take responsibility and there was 0 concern or effort to fix the problem. I would caution against using Dan if you want someone who is thoughtful and careful on your property. I hope this review will ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else.
