Not dependable. Does not show when he says he will. Always has an excuse why he is not there. Very hostile when you confront him.

Fast Patch Drywall Company - Shed drywall project

    Fast Patch Drywall Company

Had a very small area of drywall that needed to be repaired/painted after a mishap from another…read morecrew during projector installation. Fast patch responded almost immediately to the Yelp query, provided a quote that was reasonable, and allowed me to schedule promptly. Vincent arrived on time, was extremely polite, and our cat loved him (ultimate test). The work was more complex than anticipated by I still paid the originally quoted rate, the wall looked perfect afterwards, and the surrounding furniture was kept in pristine condition. Highly recommend and will hire them for any future drywall needs.

Reached out to them for a repair after I cleaned up some moldy MDF baseboards, where the drywall…read moresucked up water coming in under the baseboard. Scope was to replace drywall, paint and texture match, install new PVC baseboards and caulk everything. Price was very reasonable for the amount of work around which was 14 sqft and drywall and 12 linear feet of trim replacement. I keep buckets of paint for all the paint used in the house so matching was easy. The drywall work and paint work was superb, absolutely zero complaints it looks like it never happened. Comparing Fast Patch crew's work to the guys who did the bathroom originally makes the original folk's look like toddlers. Fast Patch made very precise cuts for cutouts and didn't need to slap on mud to fill huge holes. I was very impressed with the attention to detail. I know it sounds small but you'd be surprised... I did ask them to caulk the baseboards to the floor and that didn't go so great. I get there can be some weirdness when caulking across a grout line so I expect imperfections in those areas, but the person left the tape used to square the caulk for over an 1 hour on the floor so when it was removed it ripped the caulk and lifted the seal from the floor and ripped out many tiny sections so the gap still exists. So it will need to be all scraped out and redone to get a good seal. In their defense they are a drywall company so not sure if my complaint is too valid, but it does mean more work for me immediately after the repair. If I need a drywall or paint job in a more isolated place i.e. middle of wall ceiling I would 100% use again.

Josh is an absolute expert and professional in his craft. He was extremely flexible in scheduling to repair several damaged drywall spots throughout the house in preparation to sell. Josh and his crew did an outstanding job. He graciously provided a great military discount and genuinely thanked my family and I for our service. In addition to his excellent work, Josh is an absolute family man that went truly above and beyond with my 3 y/o son. Josh, took his time while allowing My son to "help" him repair the drywall. When Josh returned to finish the painting, he even gave my son a Tonka Toy excavator which he has yet to put down. Josh- many thanks to you and the crew!

The guy from Bibby came by when he said he would and gave me a fair price. Seemed like a good guy so went with them. I was super impressed by the guys and the work. Very professional and treated my house like it was their own. I ended up needing some interior drywall and paint so gave them a call for bid. Came in with a fair price again and while they were here I mentioned I needed doors and windows. Offered to bid on that too. Sure enough, came in right in line with my other bid and did an outstanding job. The attention to detail, pride in their work and excellent service made me a customer for life. Great value and realistic time to completion estimates were a bonus too! Thanks Bibby painting! Saw the bad review on here and cannot for the life of me understand...competitor maybe? :)

    South Hill Construction

We hired Juan about a month ago for a shower remodel. Overall, the work is ok, but definitely not…read moreprofessional quality and left a lot to be desired. The good: -competitively priced, one of the cheaper quotes we received -good quality materials: porcelain tile slabs -frequent communication -finished product seems to be functionally ok, for now -we had a toilet leak during the construction period, Juan reseated the toilet properly and fixed the leak promptly, this was much appreciated. The bad The work was overall sloppy, in many regards. First and foremost, after Juan installed the valve and plumbing, they caused a small leak into our living room below during water testing. This required them to open up the ceiling downstairs, dry it out, and patch up the drywall and repaint (see pictures below). This honestly freaked me out and increased my vigilance throughout the project. During shower door installation, they cracked one of the slabs requiring it to be replaced. This was fine, but the waterproofing patch job looked uneven and thin, but they did come out and re-coat it after I brought this up. The shower door hinges were poorly installed initially. The screws were not countersunk and sticking out; I even confirmed with the shower door manufacturer that this was not correct. We had a lot of back and forth about this; Juan eventually replaced the screws with ones that fit more properly. Wall edge at the end of the shower looks very uneven, and the caulking has cracked and the wall on the tub side even has a hole in it at the transition. On the last day, I asked them to replace the shower arm to raise our showerhead, as it was low; I purchased a gooseneck from Lowe's myself, but Juan initially told me "you can do it yourself" however because they already installed a standard shower arm. He did end up putting it in at the end but it was installed improperly; it was crooked, so I decided to replace it myself afterwards as I was already quite stressed with this project already and this was a simple fix. After taking the shower arm off, I found no teflon tape on the threads, but instead a thin layer of some kind of goo. I'm not a plumber, but teflon tape is generally recommended to seal the threads. I cleaned the threads off and installed the shower arm with properly applied teflon tape with a thin layer of pipe dope. At least the copper elbow in the wall felt solid. Overall, the wet area seems ok, we're not having any leaks (so far), and the shower is functional; however, I felt the project was rushed, communication, while frequent, was poor, and the end product is just sloppy. In the end I was told "I worry too much about everything." I'll post the pictures of the areas of concern and you can judge for yourself. We saved a few thousand dollars, but in hindsight, I wish I hired someone else and saved myself a lot of stress.

Juan is incredible. Highly professional job, great communication and very reasonably priced.read more
