Awesome course to play. Although it is only a par 67, it can be a tough course to play. There are many trees, lots of bunkers and several water hazard, all making for a fun course to play. There are 2 long par 3's out of the 6 on the course, you need accuracy on these. Jerry always has the greens and bunkers in great shape. There is a small café/grill that is good to hang out, eat and drink. They make the best patty melt west of the Mississippi !!! I am serious, I eat a lot of patty melts, but this really is the best!

Fairway conditions! You'll need to pick up rocks around your ball before you swing, and good luck using irons herez

Worst overall course conditions I have ever played on, this is by far the worst course I have played in CA. This looks like the place may be on its way to a closure, nothing else would explain the lack of care and awful conditions.

like everyone said, this place is dirt cheap. i've never seen this place busy and just by looking at the course, it seems pretty easy.

My old coworker and I meet him here for lunch at Bunker's. It's a nice cafe, an ok variety of food. It's not the greatest variety and they don't serve salads that I could see. Our go to is the burger for my boss and my coworker and I get the club sandwich. I like it for the bacon. It comes with fries or a bag of chips. I got the bag of chips so I could take them home to my husband. Though the fries looked really good, but I know I didn't need them so I got the chips. Parking- They have a private parking lot so there is plenty of parking and lots of parking in the shade. The parking lot has lots of shade structures which is great for parking in the Bathrooms- They have then in the entry way between the pro shop and Bunker's. The women's room looked clean but, it smelled horrible. Food- They have a club Sandwich $15, Avocado Wrap $16, Burger, grilled hotdogs, and a few other things. The menu the slimmed down since the picture was taken several years again that is featured on Yelp. I'm sorry I didn't get an updated picture. Everting is reusable priced. And my husband would be so pleased as they have grilled hotdogs. The kind with the grill marks on it. Location- Around 30 minutes from Sacramento. Past Ikeada. Down the road around 15 minutes. View from Bunker's- If you're sitting outside you have a great view of the driving range. You can also sit inside Bunker's

One of my lifelong passions is golf-from the moment I picked up a club when I was 17 years old,I…read moreknew an obsession was being born.Along the way,I've had good highs and good lows, like the time I quit the sport for 10 years because I played a round so terrible at the Ridge in Auburn,I lost 18 balls in one round, but that being said I always come back.Im the kind of guy who will go to the driving range 10 times between actually playing a round, practice makes perfect or whatever they say,so I decided I would write a few reviews of some of my favorite driving ranges-I'm starting my series with one driving range that I probably frequent the most or 2nd most,it's one convenient to my home-I'm talking about Leader Golf on El Centro Road in Natomas. Right off the bat-you got to know this place is not fancy-this is the kind of place the serves that golfer who is just beginning-the kind of person who maybe has thought about golf and wants to give it a shot-this is where they head. This driving range is truly a no judgement zone,so many beginners,so many people there who this may be the 1st time they ever held a golf club-I love that about this place, you never know who your going to see here,it can be someone like me who has been playing golf for over 30 years or literally a kid or teenager or woman's group or older person who has never touched a club before-your going to see all types of people, every age, every skill level and it's great. This place has zero dress code-not that all golf course do but some places you can really standout if u show up in gym shorts and a tank top-but not here-anything goes and nobody will give u a 2nd look if u have no clue what your doing. The place has a few cool features that I enjoy-it has a putting area so you can go out there and work on your putting at zero cost.It has a very good short game area where one can work on their short game but it does cost $7 an hour to get access to that area. This place does have ample parking so that should never be a problem, there is a pro shop on premises as well-Inside your able to buy range tokens which you use to get range balls to use on the range.Prices range from $7 for a small bucket(40 balls) to $24 for a "Leader" bucket which is 200 balls. What I do is buy the Leader bucket for $24 and they give you 5 tokens for 40 balls each and then I spread out their usage over multiple visits since 40 balls is more than enough for a driving range session, which brings the cost down to under $5 a bucket-a very very good price for a small bucket. The pro shop also sells beers and sodas and snacks along with just about any other golf accessory you could possibly need from driving range tees to full on brand new golf sets-it's a decent shop-gets the job done. The gentleman who owns the range also works the shop-he is an amazingly kind man,he is a little rough around the edges when you first meet him but once you get to know him,he is the best-super helpful and chatty-he is truly an asset to this location. Overall what I will say about this place is this-if you have ever had the idea that maybe you have an interest in golf and want to go to a judgement free spot where you can try it out-this is your place. If you want a no frills spot to go and work on your game-this is your place. If you want a spot you and your friends can meet and chill and maybe throw back a beer or two while doing something somewhat active-this is your place. So do yourself a favor and head on out to Leader Golf and give this amazing game a chance-it just might start a lifelong obsession-see ya out there. I spent my childhood summer days out at the pool. I have been out here for celebration dinners, and celebrations of life ceremonies. And before I was born, my aunt had her wedding reception out here. You can see that the YFC holds a dear spot in my heart - my grandpa was even the president of the club at one point. The YFC is a great spot for any occasion - the clubhouse is a great spot for a casual lunch - the sandwiches are all solid options and the specials are always great. Enrique who runs the clubhouse is the most inviting gentleman. The course itself is still very solid. It's always busy out there but still well maintained. There is plenty of parking, and it's beautiful out on the country. Come in for a round of golf, or to enjoy a lovely lunch or a bowl of popcorn by the pool.

Not only is this place great for golf, it's great for weddings (and I assume other events) too!…read more My daughter and her husband were married at the Yolo Fliers Club this past September. The planning and wedding were perfect. No hyperbole. It was truly perfect! I've never been involved with a wedding that went like this one...and I've never been to a wedding (or any other banquet or big event) that had food as good as the food the club served at her wedding. It was like dining at a fine restaurant. Every guest with whom I talked mentioned how good the food was and how nice the facility was. The venue (outside for the ceremony and inside for the reception) was beautiful and the service was first rate. (Even the weather cooperated.) Weddings start with planning and this one was no exception. My daughter started in April for a September wedding - which is a very short time for weddings these days. From the first inquiry about the club to the wedding itself, the experience was really amazing! The club's events team, headed by Veronica Lopez, and the executive chef, Chris Headding, are the best! They did a fabulous job making this the perfect wedding. Veronica is special. I could see that from our first conversation. She knew how to handle my stressed daughter perfectly. It was obvious that she genuinely wanted my daughter to have exactly the wedding that she wanted and more. Veronica made great suggestions. She also gave my daughter a list of local people who provided some of the services that the Yolo Fliers Club doesn't provide such as the photographer, DJ, and florist. That proved to be very valuable and kept the costs down considerably. My daughter picked people on the list and we couldn't be happier. Their services were better and less expensive than those my daughter found on Google, Yelp, and wedding sites. The club was decorated beautifully and everything down to the smallest detail was planned and done exceptionally well. I can highly, highly recommend the Yolo Fliers Club for your wedding.

There were hundreds swarming my arms and legs as I heard constant buzzing in my ears on my takeaway. I nearly walked off the course and went home because it was that bad but the clubhouse also had bug-spray which helped greatly. This is in late August for a 7am tee time and to be fair, I hear the mosquitos depends on the time of day and the season of the year. Luckily as the day warmed up, the mosquitos disappeared. As for the course, it was absolutely serene with white tailed rabbits, deer, squirrels and geese adding to the experience. The fairways were forgiving and the greens were great. From hole to hole, I barely saw people as each holes seemed to be well blocked and separated from each other giving my group and I peace and quiet throughout the round. Thoroughly enjoyed the round and would love to come back as long as the mosquitos are gone.

It's rather spread out over a large plot of land. I originally contemplated walking the course, it's pancake fat, but nursing a lower back injury and not feeling 100% I decided to ride. Glad that I did. There are long stretches between the putting greens and the next tee box. I estimate that a total walk would be about 8,500 yards. Course conditions are okay, not pristine. Putting greens rolled about 10 on the Stimp scale. Fairways are mowed adequately. If your ball does end in the trees / rough, it's usually pretty easy to find. Though some fairways are lined with painful thorn filled blackberry bushes, just like most golf courses in northern California. If you are wearing shorts you won't be crawling through the stickers to retrieve your ball. For a senior golfer during the week the green fee is $52. Not a bargain, but this is the going price at many of the other courses in the metro Sacramento / Placer county region. I did enjoy the game here. Did I like it more than the Cherry Island municipal course located in Elverta (12 minute drive from here)? Probably not. Cherry Island layout is more interesting and more challenging.

Based on the reviews here I was expecting piss poor conditions and the fact that I only paid $50 for the 2pm tee time led me to believe that was going to be the case. But boy was I wrong! I live in Southern CA and for $50 (cart included) at 2pm you'll be waiting at every tee box (even on weekdays) praying you find grass to hit from and the rental set of clubs would be a mix match of stuff they found in the lost & found. Here at Morgan Creek I received a beautiful set of Taylormade Qi 35 woods and Qi irons with a tour x spider putter as my rental clubs. I was not planning to play on this trip so I did not bring my own. The course was in good to great shape. Yes there were some bunkers that needed some love, and some water hazards that were drying up, but it appeared the tee boxes had recently been aerated so in a few weeks they'll be perfect, the greens were probably the best I've seen at this price point, could have been a little faster, but in general I loved the undulations and overall green complexes. I for SURE will be back! Even at $75 for a weekend rate, consider that a steal for the quality of the course! The only other course I've played in the area is the MacKenzie at Haggin Oaks (SAME PRICE) and this course was far and away my favorite of the two. I'm open to trying other courses in the area when I'm up for business, but I'm definitely coming back here for another round!
