This was such an amazing experience. My daughter is very anxious around medical visits and was running away at our prior dentist appointment. This place is what every child dentist should strive for, the gold standard. The lobby is bright, there is a play area with a small playhouse/slide. The hygienists started by playing and building rapport with my 3 and 5 year old before even calling them back. My kids loved them and went back with them without issue. They introduced every tool to them throughout the cleaning, made them feel like they were making choices (Do you want me to clean your bottom or top teeth first, etc.) Everyone there understands child psychology, is loving and patient. Our dentist, Dr. Pamaran is brilliant, patient, and just a jewel. My kids did not want to leave and my daughter said, "I'm not scared anymore, I can't wait to go back!!" Long story- worth the read. My grandson (7) knocked out a permanent tooth, root and all, during soccer practice. My daughter called her current dentists, after hours line and got no response. Another mother on the team had a friend who was a dentist, Dr. Edna Pamaran, who responded immediately for an emergency visit. She worked quickly and efficiently to get the tooth back in. Her empathy and care for someone who wasn't even a patient, is heartwarming. The follow up visit the next day was just as awesome. Took our little boy at 11 months old to Dr. Davis after he had some weird bumps on his right bottom lateral incisor. I had spoken to our Pediatrician who prescribed us an antibiotic, but there was no change after finishing the prescription. The Davis team were so sweet, patient and gentle with him. The clinic was very clean and if it wasn't during Covid (this was November 2020) looked like it could be a fun waiting room with lots of activities for kids. They took such great care and spent time inspecting and analyzing the raised tissue on his gums. Dr. Edna referred us to a periodontist to have the tissue looked at. Both teams worked so harmoniously together and their recommendations led to the raised gums to completely disappear after a month or so! Dr. Davis has been caring for my children's teeth for years with a super positive attitude towards motivating them to brush at home. The waiting room is very kid friendly with a small play structure they can climb into. There also are video games in the walls which they can enjoy while they wait. All the dental chairs have videos mounted on the ceiling where each child can select what they want to watch while they have their dental work performed. I am very pleased to have Dr. Davis looking after my kid's teeth, five stars !! read more

Dr. Matt Davis is wonderful!!!! my son had a great first check up and he felt so comfortable here at this office. His Second appointment didn't go as well because nerves played a huge part in him not doing well during the visit, but my son will still end up getting work done here but with a different plan of action. I am so grateful to have found Dr. Matt, Theresa, and their entire team. My 16mo old baby girl fell at the park and chipped her tooth and I was so worried it was going to fall out or discolor or have some lingering effects when I started googling what happened (google gets me every time- ha!). We took her to Scripps and they recommended Dr. Matt so I called after hours and left a voicemail hoping they could get us in the next day. I actually got a call back from Dr Matt that night and I was in tears when I picked up, so worried about her. He was the kindest human to me, didn't rush me off the phone, and assured me my daughter was going to be okay and that he'd see her right away the next morning. We got there and the entire reception staff was great, then Theresa and Dr Matt kept her super occupied with adorable rubber duckies and distractions and she didn't fuss much at all which made my mama heart so happy. The night before she was screaming when the other doctor put her hands in her mouth so I was terrified for the dentist appt- and while she didn't LOVE them in her mouth she barely fussed and was smiling and saying "bye bye" to them at the end. He assured me I have nothing to worry about once again, that her tooth is solid in there still and that these things happen all the time. While I'm not stoked my baby fell and chipped her tooth, I'm so happy we now have an incredible pediatric dentist! She let Owen wash his new toy cars with her tools which then allowed him to be comfortable with her using those tools in his mouth. When it comes to finding a dentist it can be very hard, but trying to find one that caters to your children (one that is 18 months) is not at all easy. I use yelp a lot and 9 out of 10 times the reviews are right. I called Davis Pediatric Dentistry this morning with an emergency and was greeted and helped right away. My 18 month old daughter fell and hit her tooth and I wanted to be seen today. To my rescue, they asked if I can come in the next 30 minutes. As I arrived I was greeted by the lovely staff and while filling out the proper paperwork my daughter was able to be occupied by the toys and little clubhouse. My first impression was relieved, but I still had to be seen. The Dental Assistant (didn't catch her name) was very sweet and pleasant. After a few moments of chatting and going over my daughters teeth I met Dr. Matt Davis. He was very calm with my daughter and answered all the questions I had before I had asked. Although my daughter is 18 months and moves a lot, he got her to lay still without moving and that is even impressive to me :-) All and All, I had a great visit and I am glad to say we will be using Davis Pediatric Dentistry for our children from now on!! read more

These dentists and hygienists are the BEST. I've been bringing my boys here for years. They have a kid friendly waiting room with video games and a club house. The ladies who schedule the appointments are very accommodating with trying to figure out a future appointment. The boys have seen all three dentists in the office and they all have the same approach and demeanor (friendly, welcoming, engaging). Every time I bring my boys I wait for the lecture from the dentists about the boys being better about brushing their teeth and even though I know they are probably wanting to, they don't. In fact, they are kind and offer suggestions to my boys so they aren't leaving feeling deflated. They even have boxes of "rewards" for the kids to choose a prize (toys, stickers, etc.). I am on a PPO insurance JUST so my kids can come here. Totally worth it. read more

This is a wonderful practice, with lots of experience working with children. I love that I'm always with my little ones during the cleanings and x-rays. My children have been coming here since they were toddlers and have never expressed a single fear about dentistry. My children have seen each of the three dentists and have had consistently positive experiences with them all. The practice also does work with schools and community groups to educate families on good pediatric dental practices as well as provide support to local parenting groups like the Parent Connection. Had a great first check-up visit for River (18 months) today, and I felt the staff was exceptionally friendly and really went above and beyond to accommodate us being super late. Hello, this week was my daughters first trip to the dentist and to say it left a good impression is an understatement. I wasn't able to be there for the appointment so my husband took her in but the feedback I got from him and my daughter was nothing but positive. My daughter is incredibly sensitive to people in her personal space and has a hard time with Dr's and medical procedures unless they take the time to really explain to her whats going on, so naturally I was really concerned about how she would react to the dentist but Ashley the hygienist was great and the whole exam went wonderfully. In fact she came home and promptly showed me her "sparkly" teeth and told me she wanted to be a pediatric dentist. Our two year old daughter had an accident and lost a front tooth as a result. I called our (now old) children's dentist and was told "it's just a baby tooth, no big deal and no need to come in". I was not comfortable with that and wanted my daughter to be seen by a dentist. Our pediatrician agreed with us and told us to take her to Davis Pediatric. Our pediatrician called Davis Pediatric who told us we should bring her in right away and they would see her. They were amazing and gentle with her. We decided right then to switch all our kids over. Just a few days after our daughters accident our son had one also. This happened after hours, of course. We called the emergency number and left a message. We got a call back 5 minutes later by Dr. Davis who answered all out questions and saw our son the very next morning. You know how you look and look for the right doctor (or pediatrician), the right car repair shop, plumber etc and often only through trial and error you finally land on the right fit? For us Davis Pediatric Dentistry is just that - a great combination of comfort and care, patience and expertise; knowing how to make kids comfortable when they're otherwise not comfortable with the entire process of going to the dentist. Earlier this morning Dr. Matt Davis helped our daughter with some challenging baby teeth that had their full roots despite the fact her bottom lower center two adult teeth were coming in strong. Our daughter doesn't even like getting her teeth cleaned! However even after having two teeth extracted on a first meeting she walked away feeling really good about going to the dentist! The staff and Matt were excellent. Lots of care/patience, a little nitrous, the movie Frozen on the overhead screen and a trip to the goody box afterwards... and we're all good! Our 2nd daughter has an appointment lined up next week and I expect she'll be just as comfortable. Silly us - we didn't know that our relatively new nanny had been taking her children to this practice for the past decade and a half.
