She shared so many fascinating details about the winery, as well The Salty Stash Distillery located about 20 minutes away. We spent the day surrounded by the stunning scenery of beautiful Virginia and loved hearing about the history of both establishments. My only disappointment of the day was they were out of merchandise featuring the Iron Heart logo which I'm absolutely obsessed with! The Salty Stash logo is pretty cool too; we learned it's designed as half the owner, Adam's face, and half of his late father's which makes it all the more meaningful. If you're ever in the area, Iron Heart Winery is a MUST! You won't be disappointed! We will be back every year! Apparently even tropical fruit was grown here, which I found quite shocking. Since I have a palate for spice, I focused on an assortment of jalapeno wines, plus some apple and blueberry concoctions. The jalapeno wines were too spicy even for me, but I did walk away with an apple wine that tasted just like apple pie. As much as I wanted to love it, "Dragon's Fire" was just too much for me to handle!

This was my first winery tour and I loved it the hostess was amazing so sweet and knowledgeable. They had a winery greeting dog at the door and he was just so big and sweet. The wine was delicious ! I'm into sweet wine and they had two amazingly sweet ones for me to take home! I would definitely come back AGAIN AND AGAIN! If I ever so happen to be traveling through Tennessee again!

She explained their vineyard and their wines. They have a large variety of wines for everyone's taste. I tasted the dry red wines. They were the Cabernet Franc, Cynthiana, and Leon Millot. The Cabernet Franc and the Leon Millot were my favorite so I bought a bottle of each. This is a must stop for wine lovers.

They have one bathroom available to customers but it was very clean, well-stocked with supplies, and the water was hot with good pressure (which is important for hand cleanliness). This trip was a 5 hour drive from where we live, so if we come back again, it would be for another family reunion. But, if you're local or a short drive away, it's definitely worth checking it out.

We ordered a Sweet Flight and a Dry Flight as well as a small charcuterie board. The sweet flight and charcuterie board were delicious. The Dry Flight had tasted like it had turned. Staff was nice enough to let us try the Off Dry Flight in turn. They are dog friendly as long as dog is friendly and leashed.
