I had to bring 2 pair back because I they were to big and kept squeezing my nose. I believe in doing things right the first time, that being said. Improvement is seriously needed. Why stick something on someone's face and say it fits. I came to pick up the new shades and they were mirrors. I asked why weren't they mirrors like when I picked them out. She started to explain that I should have asked and it's more money. Again, keys do things right the first time. Had I been told that they would not come as mirrors and I needed to add more money, let me decide but Vision Works didn't give me as a customer the opportunity to make an educated decision one that might benefit me. Instead they gave me what they wanted me to have. If suggestive selling is going to add more revenue to your business, why not suggestive sell. Let me say yes or no. Customer Service here is garbage. Rude staff in addition to insufficient skills required to do their job. The eye appointment was fast and speedy, but getting my contacts ordered after was a nightmare. Staff were leaving the store early before closing even though they were still very busy. The person before me spent a half hour arguing about the price they were paying ( not including the time for their fitting), and the lady was being rather rude about it. Very clean and well organized location they have free parking in their lot the optometrist was very friendly and quick she conducted the exam and was very friendly the staff seemed very chatty amongst them selfs we had to wait awhile to be called after seeing the doctor and even when we were being helped by the lady in the front she didn't stop talking to the other workers took us less then 10 minutes with the doctor and almost 30 minutes with the lady in the front she was very nice and respectful but she could have done her work a lot faster had she not been talking so much we did have to mention a few times we had to go read more

If it was not for my husbands insurance I Would NEVER use Davis vision I go every 24 months for glasses and the last 2 prescriptions were messed up It is because of the UV coating on the lens itself. It is cheap . this time they claim my lenses were Crizal BUT guess what....NOT! I got the Crizal company involved and they made me a new pair of glasses BUT when I contacted Davis vision to let them know what was happening they said I now have to forfit my warranty because Crizal is touching them I said FINE. Kudos to the Crizal company for their help and finding out my lenses were NOT what I paid for to begin with ...HA! Just because they say it does not mean it is what you paid for. Excellent service at this vision works! I went in to have an eye exam for the DMV and to get new contacts the physicians and staff were super helpful and honest with me. I had an issue with clear care contact solution which by the way you should never use because I almost burned my cornea the physician knew I didn't have insurance and was super nice and accommodating. Oh they got me! First off I want to say everyone at Davis Vision was professional and courteous. I was seen right away the exam was pleasant. The store clean and appealing. I came to Davis Vision because when I switched jobs my current job offers Davis Vision insurance. Davis insurance is a racket I'm not exactly sure what Davis insurance pays for certainly not the glasses I picked from the low-end side frame display. If I could give this place less than a star, I would. The customer service here was less than stellar. I was greater by a man at the front desk that did not great me with a smile but instead the sass of someone that could not be bothered today. Everyone is courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable. There was not a long wait time which helps when you have young children with you. Dr. Modesto is very pleasant and thorough. She discovered a corneal problem in my eye and referred me to a specialist so I could have the proper interventions. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!! They are a rip-off. My wife ordered a pair of reading glasses in March. At around 2 PM, the store charged my credit card $84 more or less, then at about 5 o'clock that same day she changed her mind and put a hold on the order. We went back the next day and changed the choice of reading glasses to bifocals. They charge me for this last one approx. $120 and never credited me for the first pair. When I asked them a few days later they made a bogus claim that it was included in the price of the second pair. My mistake was that I should have ask for that credit right there and then, but I didn't and for that I was taking advantage of. My insurance paid for these glasses and the frames, and the charge was suppose to be for adding "transition glasses." THESE PEOPLE ARE A TOTAL RIP-OFF. THEY ARE ALSO NOT TOO FRIENDLY. I got my own glasses at a different place in Upstate, NY where I used to work about a year prior. I got two pairs, one of them being transition and the other one polarized. After the insurance I only paid $70. When we told one of the girls this, she arrogantly and idiotically said that "their store was more expensive cause of its name" I usually don't write reviews but I just feel that I have to so that nobody else falls into the same trap. When I called to say I made the appointment for 12:30 and I received a confirmation the person on the phone tried to make it seem like I made the appointment for 12:00 pm and I told her I did not and I received a confirmation for 12:30 - she then said ok we will see you at 12:30. I got there around 12:21 pm, I could already tell there was an attitude with the staff and I should have left then. The place is much bigger now with a larger selection of frames. Never really had a problem with the staff,they always seem to help. Took my mom there a couple weeks ago,she brought two pairs. The young lady explained everything to us and the glasses were ready early. BTW my mom was happy with her free pre-moistened Wipes. I think they need more staff,we had to wait a while but it's a doctors office and retail so we understood .I gave them an extra star because it seems like people give them a hard time. It is very discouraging to pay insurance for vision evaluation & care, pay for new glasses from vision works & still need to wear my old glasses from lens crafters. Glasses frames & my lenses are expensive. The quality I receive from lens crafters far exceeds vision works. Davis insurance is what my employer offers. However, I am very disappointed in davis visionworks workmanship. Davis vision has to send out glasses, because there is no lab on the premises. Their materials are poor. The service is poor. Worst of all the glasses I received from visionworks cause eye strain and provoke vertigo. I am better off keeping the moneys I pay for eye glass insurance, in pocket & pay full cost at lens crafters or investigate my insurance options further. I was told that the appointment was at 5:15pm, but when we arrived at the store we were told that he could not be seen because we were late. They insisted that we were told to arrive at 5:00pm.
