There is a pull-out along Highway 113 (Burnt Mountain Road) where you can get out of the vehicle to explore. A gravel road runs parallel to Burnt Mountain Road a short ways past two campsites. Both sites had a picnic table and one also had a campfire pit. South of the campsites is a boat ramp and a short dock. When I stopped here there was someone fishing. Careful driving along this way, there are a bunch of logging trucks barreling down the road. This is also a good place to pull off and let them pass and enjoy the beauty of the lake. If driving south on Highway 113 from Highway 112, Beaver Lake is located on the left hand side of the road a little over halfway to Highway 101. I could see the lake on approach before I reached the pull-out and boat ramp.

The layout of this campground consists of four loops. A, B, C, D, and each loop has a numbered sites. Each campsite has a table and a fire ring. Park your car correctly and you can ensure to make your spot more private. Under a canopy of trees which are beautiful. The bathroom has running toilets and is well lit. Making nighttime walks to the bathroom less scary, lol. The camp host came over to introduce herself and warn about the crows. Apparently they were rampant and able to attack and tear up campsites if you leave anything out. A very quiet area and super close to Rialto Beach. Which I would not recommend walking to as there is no trail and you'd have to walk on the road. A great central location to explore the Olympic Peninsula. Very nice spot to get back into camping. Good-sized campgrounds. Clean bathrooms. Water access. Only downside is there are no showers. No cell service, but you get typically get it within a 5 minute drive either direction so not bad for plugging locations into maps. Make sure to walk down to Crescent Lake - it is absolutely gorgeous. Watching the sunrise is wonderful if you can get up that early. Make sure to check if there is a campfire ban before going - one was in effect during our trip, so we brought our portable stove for cooking. Definitely a great choice for camping in Olympic National Park.

The ground is rock solid and I was not able to get stakes into the ground to pitch my tent. I was devastated that I had to make the call to camp elsewhere. I did get to have a quick lunch, use the restroom and take a swim in the lake. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. The campsite was flat (loop C, site 53) and close to the restroom. Massive sculptural sea stacks rise along the shoreline, rugged and dramatic. The beach is strewn with driftwood, some pieces arranged so naturally they feel like art instillations. Its name comes from the subtle reddish mineral flecks in the sand, which glow beautifully when the sun hits them. We loved exploring this area, and it's absolutely a must-stop if you're anywhere near Forks. Vault restrooms are available just off the parking lot; they're basic and don't have running water. Because this beach is part of Olympic National Park, you'll need to pay the daily entrance fee or better yet, grab an America the Beautiful Pass for access to all national parks. I wouldn't recommend walking barefoot or swimming here. The water stays around 45-55°F year-round, the waves are powerful, and the surf can be unpredictable. This is a place to admire, wander, and soak in the wild beauty of the coast.

The parking lot is a decent size and there are two bathrooms. The trail isn't very long. The beach is made of sand and small polished pebbles. There are very few sharp rocks. The gravel is very smooth. The beach is mostly made up of sand. The waves crash down and leave beautiful foam patterns on the sand. When the days are overcast, the water appears to be a clear green-blue. On sunny days, the water looks very, very blue. The water is clear! This is a wonderful place to walk, play in the water, and to take pictures. I went on Saturday and Sunday 6/7/14 and 6/8/14. I am going back next week! The tents were comfy and cozy, I had the opportunity to check out every one. They were all different. We even filled one with teenage boys and adults in other ones. we had access to a very large charcoal grill and outdoor cook space. Every site has different seating and they provide wood and even cooking pots n pans in case you forgot yours. The owners daughter Haily was regularly found running around and checking in with us too. Anything we needed they found a way to help us. A truly memorable experience and I have recommended this campground to people ever since.

TL;DR: I was cussed out, held up for money, and accused of being aggressive by the owners…read more My family and I spent the weekend here, and overall, our stay was great. The place was accommodating, and we had a really nice trip. However, on the morning we checked out, around 8 AM, three of the owners showed up at our door demanding that we pay for our stay. I asked if I could pay after we checked out, and they started cursing at me and threatening me in front of my son. I promptly paid, and the three of them calmed down very quickly. I later found out that a different campsite, not ours, had not paid. While that is unfortunate, taking that anger out on my family was completely unacceptable. I do want to say that our stay was pretty amazing up until this point. They were very accommodating, including helping us with fresh towels. Sadly, this incident at the end was absurd and really ruined the experience.
