I would give Dawn 10 stars if I could. Dawn has been treating me for almost a year now, and she has really changed my life in a positive way. When I had initially started to see her, one of the things that I had shared with her was that I was trying to get pregnant and had been unsuccessful. Shortly after my first couple of treatments of herbal teas, diet, and acupuncture, I was happy to share with him that I became pregnant. I have continued to see Dawn throughout my entire pregnancy and it has been extremely beneficial. I delivered my daughter last month and had a smooth pregnancy and a healthy baby. Dawn genuinely cares about her patients and it shows. I have attempted to write a review for Dawn in the past, but have never submitted because there just aren't words to describe her. As a clinician in western medicine, I have always had an appreciation for "alternative" or eastern philosophy, but was not a believer. Acupuncture was something I prescribed patients as a last resort. I've since come to find it a crucial component in the healing process for any patient with chronic pain, acute injuries, fertility, and a slew of other ailments. I have been going to Dawn for migraine headaches for over 2 years, including my 10 months of pregnancy when I couldn't take any migraine medication, and I have had a noticeable decline in headache frequency and intensity. She was the first clinician to look at me as a whole and help me find a healthy balance. She also treated me for fertility. After trying unsuccessfully for over a year, I was able to get pregnant without any other medical intervention. I dropped this to 00000 stars because I intended to dispute some of her overbilling per her insurance contract, but then she fraudulently charged my card without authorization. Stay away! ------------------------- This is a mixed review. As a clinician, she's top notch. Though I can't say that I got better, I understand my problem better and am tackling it with different practitioners. Personally, I don't really "believe" in chi, but I love the feel of the needle in my muscle, especially with an electric charge. My lower star rating comes from her billing practices which don't line up with insurance contracts, at least not mine. She charged $125 up front for her services, with a promise that she would refund when insurance paid out. She hasn't done that. She charged me $80 for a no-show - or at least she tried. I tried still coming in which she refused and then asked to reschedule. It's the only time I was ever late. I called my insurance to complain and they said that they have rules for how you are supposed to go about that, and that she should submit a bill for that, but that they would not pay it because of the way the contract is written. And, per my insurance, she tried billing for things she isn't actually qualified to charge for, such as physical therapy. I'm probably going to get dismissed as a patient for complaining, but really as a consumer with an insurance policy, I don't want to deal with someone unless it's a level playing field. Now if you want to go with someone like that, it's on you. As a cash payer, you shouldn't have any complaints about her whatsoever, unless you miss an appointment, for which she will charge you $80. If a practitioner doesn't like how insurance works, or the payout is too small, it's probably best to not deal with insurance at all. Sucks to be me, as she was the one closest to my house. But I just don't feel like dealing with billing drama. I have enough drama and cause enough drama without added drama.------ read more

I had fallen on a Monday and jammed up my shoulder. I had never had a shoulder injury before so I didn't know what to expect. But man was it painful. As a Massage Therapist, if I don't work, I don't make any money, so I knew I had to get back to work asap. I called Dawn up on the day it happened, the soonest she could see me was the VERY next day! So grateful for her flexibility... In any case she assessed me with a thorough intake process which I appreciated because even though I came in with a specific issue she helped me realize I had other underlying issues that were present. She is VERY well versed in this field and her knowledge shows. She worked on me, and I promised to call back with a follow up session. She even sent me home with a spray that helps with circulation to the injured area. I called her back and rescheduled for that Friday. I told her my ROM (range of motion) had improved but I was still feeling pain. We 'chased' the pain around, until there was no pain. On Saturday I woke up with full ROM in my shoulder and very limited amounts of discomfort and was back to work on Sunday. Acupuncture is often an overlooked modality in the healing world, but it IS absolutely a medicine that HEALS. I have no tolerance for pain and she helped take the pain away by pin-pointing where the problem was and correcting it. She is so well educated and kind and a problem solver. I am forever grateful I called when I did. I recommend Dawn to absolutely EVERYONE I met in my business and whenever someone is complaining about an issue. She offers a relaxing and comfortable environment and makes you feel safe and cared for. I am a fan for life!!! read more

I have seen Dawn multiple times over the past 3 years for my chronic lower back issues as well as post surgery for bilateral CMC Joint arthroplasties/carpal tunnel/ulnar tunnel and tendon transfers in both of my hands. I think the "cupping" provided the most relief with regards to my ongoing back issues and the needling with electrical impulse definitely helps my hands. Dawn is continually educating herself not only as required but because she has an ongoing thirst for knowledge and wants to be able to pass this on to her patients through her various treatment modalities. She takes the time to really listens to you with regards to your concerns before, during & after treatments and if something isn't working she works with you to find the right treatment for you! read more
