There's a fun straw bale stack inside of the great barn that can be climbed and would be fun for all. They have both kids and adults corn mazes, corn hole games, animals to observe (we saw goats and chickens - not a petting zoo), and numerous photo spots, including an antique pickup with pumpkins that would make a great backdrop for family pictures. Almost all of this, including nearby parking, are FREE! There are vendors selling snacks (Hawaiian shave ice, kettle corn, soft pretzels, ice cream, soft drinks) and a barbecue truck that looked and smelled amazing. On the weekends and as weather permits, they offer hayrides and pony rides, as well. This is a must-do event for families...don't miss out!

The dips and beer breads look good. Fun to look at the biggest selections of salt and pepper shakers anywhere around. Oh the signs keep us laughing while we shop. The Patio Cafe' and Coffee cart are a must too! You can't go wrong with anything you order. My go to is the Turkey Panini but the Whole Farm burger is a fav of my family too. But i guess everyone was watching the weather report like we were & came when it was supposed to clear up. We decided to pick our own pumpkin, so we caught the hayride. Definitely recommend as its quite a ways away. The pumpkin field was huge! There were so many good ones to choose from in different colors. We ended up going with 2 little ones as it seemed like a good idea as we werent planning on leaving it & had to carry it around. We then got hungry & opted for some Mexican corn, hot dog, & apple cider donuts. Everything was so yummy, especially the donuts. The line was so long, but worth the wait as they were made fresh. Im so glad we came prepared for walking in the patch. We wore our rubber boots which then proceeded to be caked in mud at the bottom. Your hands will also get dirty from picking your pumpkin, so be aware. Overall it was such a fun day. Till next year.

Where they get you is the corn maze. Skip it!!! If we could have gotten a refund we would have. Trust me when I say BEYOND disappointed. It was muddy. SO muddy. And that could have been remedied with hay on the ground. That would have saved everyone's shoes and cars. And it was $5 per person for a literal circle. It wasn't a maze. It was a circle. That took 5-7 minutes to slowly walk. That was insane. That's where we PAID for the pumpkins. Everything here is pay via Venmo or cash box on the honor system. That's why we paid out the wazoo for the maze. Ugh. How crummy!! (So you HAVE to use Venmo or cash ONLY!) A little bonus was being able to see baby sheepies and the kids loved feeding them corn stalk leaves and watching them. Sheepies!!! Anyway, next year is YES to Pumpkins and sheepies and NO to the maze.

There is also a corn maze located toward the back of the property. The maze is a cool attraction but I have to agree with another recent review, it really isn't a maze at all. It truly is a circle or a lap, like taking a lap around the park. It's not challenging or engaging, it's just a muddy lap through the corn field. Spend your time with the sheep and the pumpkins & skip the maze.

Despite me "making" them go, we all had a great time and picked 3, ate one, picked 3, ate one and so on and so on and so on until our bellies and our boxes were full of berries. At this visit (mid-July) there were many varieties of red raspberries, blueberries, and yellow raspberries ($3/lb), a bouquet of flowers (50 cents to $1 a stem), and the freshest green beans ($1.50/lb). Other veggies and herbs were also available. The garden is surrounded by rolling hills and backed by snow capped mountains. Just beautiful! Less than 30 minutes outside of the city, but a world away.
