I want to start by saying Dawn of Dawn's Creations is a very special lady. If I lived in Colorado, I am sure we would be friends. Dawn has been in this industry for years and offered up some good advice on things we hadn't even thought of. I admit, I wasn't sure what to expect when my daughter (the bride), future mother-in-law, sister-in laws, Maid of Honor and I went to Dawn's studio the day before the wedding to build the bouquet. I had never heard of anything like this.... Dawn explained her special process. Each one of us sat down while Dawn and the bride chose flowers. We each took turns helping the bride build her bouquet. What a special surprise. This was something special that we all got to experience together. My daughter carried a bouquet that all the women in her life had a hand in making and it was gorgeous! On the day of the wedding, everything was at the venue, and it was better than we ever imagined. The centerpieces were awesome. Dawn wastes very little when making her arrangements. She provided pieces from discarded petals for the aisle and used pieces left over from making the bridesmaid bouquets to make flowers for the bride's hair for the reception. Otherwise, I left it up to her. The remembrance was occurring over the weekend so I unfortunately couldn't provide Dawn with much notice (I didn't have much notice about the event either). Everything Dawn said and did was exceptional-- from suggesting a living plant vs flowers as they'd last longer and be a memory, to sending me a photo to approve the arrangement, to saying she would get them delivered same day if she had to do it herself, to NOT leaving them by door in 95 degree weather, to texting back and forth to arrange delivery, to removing the 'SAFE FOR PETS" tag on the orchid care tag. Live in Las Vegas and called Dawns for a delivery to a friend in the Springs. They explained the pricing and I asked if they had a bouquet with sunflowers available which they did. After placing my order and giving all the information , I received a message and it was a picture of the actual flowers being sent which I was surprised they did but it was definitely a beautiful bouquet. They delivered the same day I called and although they did not call my friend beforehand to make sure she was home , they were nice enough to drop it off at her work once they got ahold of her which was about 8 minutes from her home. So I have a son who is currently in BMT (Basic Training) in the US Air Force in San Antonio, TX. He has very limited access to a phone, but was able to get his cell phone for a brief moment today and text me. He asked if I could find a place to deliver flowers to his girlfriend, who lives in Colo Springs. I found Dawn's Creations on Yelp and gave them a call. I ended up speaking to Dawn herself, who was having the day anyone would imagine a florist would have at 1:00 pm on Valentine's Day! I explained my situation and not only did Dawn take the time to listen, she sprung into action and explained she was super busy, but would do everything she could to help out my son. She even told me she would wait to run my credit card until she was sure the delivery could happen today. Dawn's Creations was part of a package from my wedding venue. The whole experience was stressful and horrible. When I went in to plan what I wanted my wedding flowers to look like I was very point blank I wanted pink bridesmaid bouquets. I even brought in pictures. She spouted off names of flowers for my own bouquet and I repetitively said I don't know what anything looks like. It was overwhelming. The day before my wedding she had me come in and assemble my own bouquet with flowers that just didn't look like how I wanted them to when I brought in photos of my ideas. I hated my bouquet so much and I cry about it a lot. It was so ugly. She brought out the bridesmaid bouquets and they were white. I told her they were supposed to be pink and she yelled at me saying I wanted Sahara roses.I DON'T KNOW THE NAMES OF FLOWERS WHICH IS WHY I BROUGHT IN PICTURES AND SAID I WANTED PINK!! She did add in pink roses after she yelled at me. I was not supposed to have groomsmen boutiners but she made them anyway without my knowledge with the stupid white Sahara roses so that threw my entire color scheme of my wedding off. Good Choice for a Last Minute Delivery I needed a delivery for a Sunday Mother's Day delivery and I hadn't set it up and I only had one day to do it. I called around, three florists in the CS area, and none could do the next day delivery (mostly because it would be Sunday and they don't do that). Then I called Dawn's Creations. She came through for me and over the phone we worked on what I wanted and how much I wanted to spend. The bouquet that was delivered was quite nice! Expect to pay a little more than usual but you will get quality flowers and excellent service both in the making of the arrangement and in the delivery. She'll even send you a photo before delivery if you request it. The delivery man will inform you if there are any snags or if he has any questions.
