It has a huge kid's section, complete with books, DVD, TABLETS (for kids to play on), audio books, and lounging areas. It has several rooms, and even offers free classes like beginner photography (how cool is that?!). Only time will tell how this library will hold up, but I can't wait to be a regular visitor!

My local branch didn't have the book I wanted, so I took a day trip to Hall County to snag a copy of the book I was looking for. I called first, and they assured me they had the copy there and that they would set it aside for my arrival. Parking was free and easy. There were several spaces available right up front. Of course, I was there in the afternoon on a weekday. I imagine it might get busy if an event is going on, but it looked like they had more parking out back and on the street. The librarian was super nice and directed me to the books on hold and answered my questions about books available in other languages. I ended up leaving there with the book I was looking for as well as a few books in Spanish so that I could further practice my low level comprehension skills. I was able to extend my checkout of these books online and then return them to my local branch library instead of having to make the drive to Hall County again. Although, I wouldn't have minded it. Their library still has that "new car scent". Not really, but the place is pristine and welcoming.

I come here all the time to tutor high school and college students. It has a bunch of study rooms…read morethat you can reserve for free. They're clean, quiet, and spacious. It's often hard to get a reservation since they're usually booked up, but it still is really great when I get one. If I can't, then there is a larger room which doesn't require reservations, where people can still meet and talk -- however, since we're all in there together it's often louder and with small children. But it can still work. Also the rest of the library has a number of chairs and tables where one can work quietly, and again it's quite nice, spacious, bright, clean. So this is a great library to get work done or spend some time reading. I don't have a lot of experience with the book selection or ordering books, although I did go looking for a bunch of pre-calculus textbooks once and they had a nice large selection already on the shelves. The staff is always pleasant and tries to keep the line at the front desk moving, so I appreciate their work and professionalism! An extensive children's section with SO MANY great programs for children. Story times with a craft after, summer reading programs, music, family nights, etc. They have a "take one,give one" puzzles and board games section. Located next to the Forsyth County Senior Center. Parking is a plenty. Staff is kind and helpful. I will update this later, when I go back and find out the name of my favorite librarian. She's really just too sweet!

Unless you have not much else to do, aka employment, it is very difficult to finish a book in 2 weeks. Also, the library content is mostly "side b" books, not the bestsellers. Popular new books can have waiting list for 80+ people for that ridiculous 2 week reading period. Forsyth county officials should be ashamed of not serving the public very well. Where do the tax dollars go? Staff are friendly and operating hours are decent.

The location is right off of 575 between Cumming Highway and Brown Industrial Parkway. Nearby businesses includes, GA department of Driver's Licence, Must Ministries and Cherokee County Juvenile Court. The library has a capacity of 110 people and is one of the larger libraries in the area. Only Pickens and Woodstock locations are larger. Some of the features includes over a dozen public computers for patrons with a current library card or a guest pass. They also have several tablets and laptops that you can sign out for in library use. Free wifi is also available. Just ask a librarian for the current password. One of the unique feature at this library that I've not seen in the other libraries is their jigsaw puzzle collection. They have a whole wall of puzzles that you can check out like you would a book that you might like to read. It's a great a idea for developing and sharpening one's cognitive skills.
