I actually love this library! So coming here is hard during rush hour times! You will be in back to back traffic just struggling through so avoid the traffic! There is a lot of parking space so you don't have to worry! The library is big! Compared to the Duluth branch the Suwannee is way bigger and has a cute reading pagoda for kids to sit in for the readers! The building is large so sound doesn't travel so fast and it is a nice place to study! I honest loved the train and wasn't bothered by it! I thought it added to the aesthetic of the whole library! If you watch Howls Moving Castle the movie you'll feel like you're in the same city the move took place too! So cute! So romantic! I would visit this place if you live near by because t is a treat! The staff is friendly and they will give you recommendations and help! The books rotate around other branches but they can reserve it for you!

I realize that I've been to several different libraries during the past few months, but honestly, they're way better than places like Barnes & Noble where you can hardly ever find a seat anyway. Plus, you don't have to feel "guilty" if you don't buy anything from the bookstore. This particular library is actually the fourth Gwinnett County Public Library (GCPL) that I have visited! A friend of mine told me that this library was nice, so we checked it out after lunch one Sunday. The Suwanee branch is located right by the city's Town Center Park. It's not too small, but not too large, either - and they have a pretty good selection of books and audio books. They also have plenty computers and tables to study at, which is nice. I had no problem grabbing a computer for myself when I wanted to look up some books on the gwinnettpl.org website. Like most libraries I have visited, this one also has a "quiet room" for studying. However, I found it ironic that it's located towards the back of the library - and super close to a railroad! So the entire library is often filled with the loud sounds of trains passing by! It's awfully strange that they decided to open a library in a not-so-quiet area. Overall, the Suwanee branch of the GCPL system deserves 4 stars because it is clean, has a good selection of educational material, and looks pretty new! I subtracted one star mainly due to it's peculiar location. It's a nice library to check out if you're ever in the area! [Review 063 of 366]

Absolutely love this library. It's extremely spacious so any noises get diffused pretty well (good place to take your kids - but we always do enforce "inside voices" in libraries as best as we can). The facilities are extremely clean - I don't mind my kids (5 & 2) running around and am not worried they'll get into anything dirty. Even the bookshelves are all very clean (top & between shelves)! The bathrooms are really nice and the kids' section bathroom has kid-sized potty & sink. I really love their checkout kiosks. It makes long checkouts a thing of the past and makes me feel like I'm truly living in a time of the future. You just stack all the items on the sensor and everything is found all at once (this applies to all Gwinnett Public Library branches). I love taking my girls here so they can run around, read, play on the mounted iPads, and be themselves while I sit on one of their comfy chairs and enjoy a book for myself!!!

This library is LOUD. Like a screaming child in the middle of the study hall for 2 hrs and not a single worker tried to help loud.

They've removed the Librarian desk, which makes me a little sad b/c that means a lot of librarians must have lost their jobs.

My first time at the Duluth Library and it is beautiful. Furthermore, I haven't been to the library…read morein about 20 years. LoL!! I took the 1hr 49min ride to the Duluth Library to experience the engagement with Raymond Santana. Detailed as, "Join Raymond Santana, one of the Central Park Five, as he discusses his young adult illustrated memoir, "Pushing Hope," which reflects on his wrongful conviction and tireless fight for his 2002 exoneration." I was excited to be in the room. The Duluth Library was the perfect place to have this event. The space was huge. The sound system was perfect and went throughout the entire room and the way the room was set up was ideal for the audience to focus and be able to feel the emotions expressed with each word. More than just a library, the Duluth Library was a night of memoir engagement for me and I am so happy that I went and was able to be present. Overall, the Duluth Library is humungus, super clean, and is easy to navigate when looking for books. The staff was super friendly and greeted me upon walking in with smiles on their faces. If you're in the area and ready to engage with all the Duluth Library has to offer. Make sure to stop in and check out all you've been missing.

Plenty of outlets and USB ports. The staff is always super friendly, helpful and professional. Plenty of Mac Monitors to choose from. The selection of books are solid. Last, they have book club and author programs all the time that are well done and as someone mentioned you don't have to live in Gwinnett County to attend these programs. This is a great branch and I can't recommend it enough. During different times, the branch has kiosks that give out free COVID or flu testing kits. The people running this branch are really on top of it! Separate and apart from this review, this is also an Amazon Locker location.

Visit this library recently: - Staff: is really friendly…read more- Infrastructure: is clean including restroom - Accessibility: there are computer that helps you find for a specific book and check for its availability. The process of borrow/returning book is also really easy.

I come here all the time to tutor high school and college students. It has a bunch of study rooms…read morethat you can reserve for free. They're clean, quiet, and spacious. It's often hard to get a reservation since they're usually booked up, but it still is really great when I get one. If I can't, then there is a larger room which doesn't require reservations, where people can still meet and talk -- however, since we're all in there together it's often louder and with small children. But it can still work. Also the rest of the library has a number of chairs and tables where one can work quietly, and again it's quite nice, spacious, bright, clean. So this is a great library to get work done or spend some time reading. I don't have a lot of experience with the book selection or ordering books, although I did go looking for a bunch of pre-calculus textbooks once and they had a nice large selection already on the shelves. The staff is always pleasant and tries to keep the line at the front desk moving, so I appreciate their work and professionalism! Also, quick plug for my own services: If anyone needs tutoring for advanced math like advanced placement calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, and more, feel free to get in touch! :)

I'm at library an average of twice a week. This particular…read morelocation has a section which I utilize each time. Their hold section. You can go online and after finding your selection, place a hold and you'll receive an email once it's available. Books are usually held for five days giving you time to pick it up. Though there have been times when I couldn't make it so I called and the staff was helpful in allowing me more time. There is also a self check out. This system is wonderful. After checking out your books you can choose to have a receipt printed with the due date or have one emailed to you.

I don't know if I should review this comparing to other libraries in general or just Gwinnett…read morelibraries. I've been to a few gwinnett libraries. But I have also been to university libraries which don't compare. Compared to other Gwinnett Libraries: Quaint place which stretches way beyond people realize. I actually volunteered here during high school, back in the day. The volunteer coordinator took me to the back where there are many offices. This campus is the main campus for administration for all public libraries. Kinda cool little fact most people may never know. That being said, they have a pretty awesome volunteer program! Or they did back in the day at least ;). Cool magazine room that stays quiet. Library in general is always quiet (as it should be ;)) Lots of kids always, but it's not too bad. Good lighting. Wifi usually works if needed. Has all the books you'll possibly need, or you can have them reserve the book you need to pick up on the gwinnett public library website. I think they have book clubs, puppet shows, and stuff like that. I usually at this point only go on the website, have books on hold for me, and go pick them up. It's super convenient! Reading is FUNdamental! :)
