I was interviewing multiple doctors and he was just one of a few. He answered all my questions and they were extensive. He took the time to explain the procedure and what approach he was going to take. What recovery would look like and all the complications from a major surgery. His compassion was evident and he did not pressure me to chose him. I visited the other doctors and Dr. Richard Grey stood heads and shoulders above them all. I just had the first of two procedures, the procedure went as planned and a good prognosis is indicated. So when it comes time for the second surgery I have no doubt Dr. Gray will be as successful. She's on top of whatever questions you may have and has such a warm and relaxing personality. She's flexible with scheduling surgeries and will help you to decide which day and time would be ideal for getting set up. Dr. Miyano himself is great. He presented me with options and gave the likelihood of my ailment coming back. We had a medical student shadow for my appointment. I've had appointments where the doctor either lets the med. student take over entirely or ignore that they were even in the room making it awkward for everyone; Dr. Miyano doesn't do this at all. It was a comfortable consultation appointment. I felt guided with direction and empowered with the ability to choose what I wanted to do versus not being given options. I would highly recommend Dr. Miyano just based on one appointment and will write a follow up once I've gotten rid of my cysty wristy.

The main reason I suggest being a local is because if you need to get ahold of anyone in the office, you'll need to just go there in person. Now that you have your appointment and your ready to get seen next month, you are on your way to feeling great again. NOW... don't think for one second that you got to bypass the on hold thing just because you live in town. Once you get to your appointment next month and you have a seat in this very spacious waiting room, take a look around. You will notice there will be 1 maybe 2 people ahead of you, at this moment you think to yourself ( this will be quick) lol. This is the point where you will get to wait somewhere between 1-1 1/2 hours till someone brings you to the examination room, but don't worry the fun doesn't stop there. Once in the room you will get to wait at least another 30 to 45min. If you need to get some shopping done or feel like going to a nice sit down restaurant while you wait, just run up stairs check in and go do your thing, you will have plenty of time

I started with another very popular duo in puyallup that would probably be the top result on yelp, due to them exchanging raffle entries for yelp reviews. They are very nice but didn't help me despite having me in on a very regular basis, which confirmed my suspicion that chiropractic work is a money pit. I don't remember why I switched to Dr Church but I'm so glad I did. First, the ladies in the office are so great. Wonderful to talk to on the phone and in person, and I've never had a billing issue. The office is clean and easy to navigate. Dr Church is incredibly good at his job. I remember him saying one of the first times I was in something along the lines of, "come in whenever you feel you need to" which was a nice change of pace from the last place. He's insanely knowledgeable, not long-winded but great with explanations, kind, and comfortable to be around. But best of all, he's always right and he ALWAYS FIXES ME. I went in skeptical many times thinking 'it's definitely not gonna work this time I'm beyond repair' and I'm shocked every time at how good he is. I'm really really good at aggravating my disc herniation at L5-s1, and even at times where I could barely walk in the door, I've gone in to see him and been moving normally by the end of the day. He has also given me wonderful referrals and I trust his advice when I bounce ideas off of him. I have had reverse shoulder replacement surgery on each shoulder this past year, five months apart…read more What most patients say about Dr. Jurek's rapport, support, and positivity are definitely true, but of course my main concern as a patient was with the outcomes. I'm pleased to say that the outcomes so far have been far better than I had expected, with very little pain after surgery and smooth and quick recoveries. I was swinging a golf club after 6 weeks, and was playing golf just 8 weeks after my first surgery. I had a similar and even better result, with even less pain and quicker recovery time, after my second surgery. I would certainly recommend Dr. Jurek to anyone for shoulder replacement surgery, and after having worked with her through my two surgeries, I am confident that I would recommend her for any orthopedic procedure within her expertise. I've been in their care for the better part of a year. Knee issues, requiring steroid injections and finally the need for a full knee replacement. It is now three weeks post-surgery and, according to my team and my Physical Therapist, I am making excellent progress. The surgical scar is impressively short, straight and healing nicely. I can now bend my knee to 90 degrees, with plans to go well beyond that in the coming weeks. I went into this with the expectation that I would be up and about the day of surgery, that I would tackle PT with specific weekly goals in mind and, with the help of my team, would manage the inevitable pain and any unforeseen setbacks. Together, we've done just that. Alex is wonderfully efficient. She, as my main point of contact, ensures that any issues I have are communicated to the right people, appointments are scheduled and prescriptions are refilled in a timely manner. Morgan, Dr. Coray's PA, has been my main point of medical contact post-surgery (so far). She was in attendance during surgery, so she "knows" my knee. Morgan carefully examined the surgical site during my initial follow-up appointment and is happy with progress. Dr. Coray has the quiet demeanor of a skilled, competent surgeon - one who has done this for many years. I liked him immediately. We went over my tests and x-rays, the various alternatives to treatment, and jointly arrived at a plan going forward. No rush, no pressure - he listened carefully and answered all my questions.
