We LOVE Daybreak Coffee Roasters!!! My husband and I order the coffee online and they can deliver it for free in Lubbock (although we prefer to pick it up) and they can ship anywhere in the US. Which is great because we sent coffee to family in other states for Christmas! The staff has always been super friendly and very professional. This is NOT a coffeehouse. They do not serve any mochas, or frappachinos, or caffe americanos... but what they DO provide are some of the best roasted beans in Texas (and they will ship them to you)!! Set in an industrial warehouse area near downtown Lubbock (right off I-27 heading south), it's not hard to find, and you can park in the street. Your best bet is to go to www.dbcr.com and order your beans; if you're in Lubbock, you can pick them up a couple of hours after you make your selection. If you roast your own beans, Day Break offers green beans as well; I picked up a pound of Guatemalan beans the other day, and roasted a few as soon as I got home. I went to Day Break Coffee Roasters today and Kayla was so nice and accommodating! She listened to every question I had and also gave me samples of the coffee's I expressed interest in. I've been drinking Day Break roasted coffee for over 5 or 6 years now. I've always felt the quality of the roast is sub par but it has recently gotten worse. Upon addressing my concerns to the warehouse, I was basically ignored. It took them almost 5 days to respond and there answer to my concerns was a tour of their facility. I don't believe the quality of a product should depend on the customer getting a tour of the facility. I should be able to tell the product is good simply by tasting it. So if you like over-roasted, bitter, and often stale, coffee, you should purchase it from DBCR. read more
