Very very nice people. The cutest barista, she was so happy. I got an iced cherry blossom matcha and an iced honey vanilla latte. The ice is VERY icy lol. The cherry blossom matcha (seasonal) is quite sweet, almost too sweet for me because the cherry blossom part was flower shaped sprinkles on top. Not my favorite but oh well. The matcha flavor was okay I suppose. The iced honey vanilla was much better but both drinks were still too watered down for me. Maybe less ice next time. Good place to study, it's huge and has great seats and tables in the back. read more

Best coffee in Lubbock! It's a must try, but beware you'll have to make a trip every time you are in the area! My boyfriend and I just moved to the area and needed a go to coffee place. Found Brewed Awakening and instantly became a fan. I've tried most drinks and all are outstanding! My drink recommendation is definitely the Cookies and Creme latte (add cookie dough cold foam for extra sweetness) Alyssa is amazing and always smiling! If you miss her it's alright the rest of the staff is so friendly and great to talk to as well read more

I usually like the drinks here but they have become more expensive and the hours are NOT correct. I went on a Saturday at 5:10pm hoping for a Blue bonnet matcha that I have been craving all day, just for the hours to be incorrect online and this employee told me that the hours changed. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience here was disappointing. I waited nearly 20 minutes only to receive a watered-down, flavorless coffee. While waiting, I noticed the barista messed up several drinks because she was too busy chatting with a friend instead of focusing on orders. Unless you want to risk getting the wrong drink after a long wait, I'd recommend going elsewhere. Maybe it was just the person working today, but I won't be coming back. read more

We were traveling through Lubbock and stopped in before heading home. It's located across from the Texas Tech campus in an apartment complex. Don't worry, there is parking available around the complex. Granted, we went during the summer when the heavier student population was not there. The coffee was delicious! The vanilla and matcha lattes were tried. Definitely ask about the sweetness levels on their menu. We also grabbed some of their waffles (Nutella/strawberry and peanut butter/banana) which were a hit with the kids. The barista was kind and helpful explaining the coffee options. Brewed Awakening is a great space to go for sweet but delicious coffee. The service is fast and friendly. The space is much larger and more open than advertised. It was quiet when I was here, but keep in mind that this was in the summer. The coffee shop is right across from campus, so I would think this would be a freshman hotspot during the school year. read more

Today I stopped by to get a coffee and noticed a homeless man quietly walking by. He was not bothering anyone or trying to enter the shop. He was simply passing by on the public sidewalk. I decided to offer to buy him a coffee to brighten his day. As I walked in, the man who appeared to be the owner looked at him and said "keep walking." He then turned to the baristas and commented that the man "creeped him out." The man he was speaking about is small, soft spoken, and absolutely not a threat to anyone. Watching him be spoken to that way was genuinely heartbreaking. When I explained that I had purchased a drink for him and that he was a paying customer, the owner doubled down twice, even mumbling under his breath that the man "could not speak well." The lack of empathy was glaring. Wanting to give the business the benefit of the doubt, I later spoke with the owner directly, only to be met with a condescending tone and zero accountability. Instead of acknowledging the situation, she simply refunded the money and reminded me several times that she "knows Christ," finishing by telling me to "walk with the Lord." The behavior I witnessed today is the exact opposite of the compassion their so called faith based identity claims to represent. We never know what someone is going through. To treat another human being with such judgment and cruelty over something as simple as a cup of coffee was deeply disappointing. I left with a heavy heart and they have lost a customer for life. Kindness costs nothing. Unfortunately this place chose cruelty instead. read more

A really nice coffee shop right across from the Texas Tech campus on front of the ULoft apartments.

They have great coffee and a good atmosphere. But I will say their wifi is NOT safe for exams or general homework assignments. Their wifi refreshes randomly and has caused one of my discussion boards to disappear as I was writing it, as well as closing me out of an exam two times because their wifi is unstable. Please keep that in mind before coming here for serious homework. read more

Had my baby shower here Aug. 3rd and it went PERFECT! Super easy process of booking and many great packages that the owner provides when booking. Had plenty of room for all of my family and friends as well at wheelchair accessible accommodations. The owner gave us 2 complementary drinks for my shower and the strawberry lemonade was the best!! read more

I absolutely love Brewed Awakening but it takes 25-30 mins to get a small iced coffee when they're averagely busy. I mean there's maybe 1 person in line and 7 people that have been waiting for their drinks for 20+ minute. read more

She said they'd gotten feedback that their cold brew was very strong, and offered to make me something else if i didn't like it (generous). It tasted like coffee, and not bitter at all, even though I ordered it plain w only heavy cream no sugar. Good experience! Cold brew is meant to be strong and not bitter, which is what I got. Always get orders wrong. Coffee should not be this sweet. Cool ambience clean and fun but coffee and kolaches suck.

Coffee and food are great and staff is nice. I've been here a few times and each time I intend to work on stuff on my computer and can't because the music is so loud, even with noise cancelling headphones. Literally haven't had this issue at any other coffee shop. There's also SO much space, but not enough tables to seat everyone. All of that to say, grab your coffee and leave, which is really unfortunate because it's so cute inside! read more
