I've never stayed at the hotel so I can't comment on it but I know the rooms were recently remodeled. They have a good seafood buffet on Fridays. Fried catfish, gumbo, stuff crab, along with chicken tenders, beef stew etc. If you call ahead, they do have a drive thru just fyi.

A sweet waitress helped us with tea and coffee and we decided on chicken fried steak with eggs for me and pancake breakfast for him. Now I'll say this- this is not fast food. But it was a crispy, fresh chicken fried steak just like my own grandma used to make. The gravy was PERFECTION, obviously used bacon grease. I was in hog heaven. And the cook (granny herself, I assume) made sure my eggs were exactly to my liking (runny yolks with no jiggly whites). I wish I lived nearby or had a teleporter. I'd eat that CFS once a week! Definitely worth finding this little gem. Oh, and they told me about their small business gumption remodeling the place to prepare for its opening.
