Date of visit: June 28, 2025…read more This is not a spot I would likely find myself given that I don't drink, but we were here for a birthday party and found it to be a lovely little venue. With wonderful weather, the front garage door was open and allowed us to move back and forth from the front patio section to the interior area to get beverages from the bar. The acoustics in the bar area were not great, making it hard to talk, so I was glad that we could utilize the outdoor area where it was much easier to talk. However the facility does do a good job of utilizing the space effectively, given its narrow footprint. I really only saw one staffer but she was very friendly and suggested the No Pain Painkiller, an oddly-named drink that had coconut and orange juice in it. The first one was very good, the second one...not as good. Not sure why but I definitely would not have gotten a second one if they were reversed!

Sasquash Pumpkin Lager: Milwaukee (MKE) Brewing Company brewed their first beer in October of 1997…read more Although it's the appropriate time of year, it was not the pumpkin lager I have today. I've become less of a beer guy since my college days, but I couldn't resist the urge to pick this up. Even though I find them to be real hit or miss, I like to try at least one new pumpkin beer each fall. What caught my attention was the interesting looking design on the can of a sasquatch-like creature with a jack-o'-lantern head. It didn't even occur to me until much later that the name of the beer was not Sasquatch, but Sasquash. If you're as slow as me, it's a nice play on words that combines squash (pumpkin) with sasquatch (as in the mythical creature) into the name of this brew. I had a difficult time finding background information on this specific beer, but sources indicate it is made with both pumpkin and pumpkin spice. It is a Viena style lager that comes in at 6% ABV. Personally, I found it to have a light pumpkin flavor and it was a tad too bitter for my preference. The Sasquatch/Bigfoot may have achieved a legendary status, but this pumpkin lager is just okay . Doughboy_Food_Reviews My favorite Pumpkin Beers: 1. Southern Tier Pumking Imperial Ale 2. Saint Arnold Pumpkinator Imperial Stout 3. New Belgium Pumpkick Ale 4. Cold Brew Coffee Pumking Nitro 5. Jack-O Traveler Pumpkin Shandy

This was my first time back after they reopened under new ownership and they did everything right…read more It was a warm day so we kicked back on the porch with some beer and a sangria. I love a warm deck during the summer and I will be back to get their beer. I tried the hefeweizen and the dunkel weiss and I loved the crisp flavors. Friend had the blackberry sangria which was tasty but a little too sweet for me but I'm not a big sugar person. Another person had the Mai Bock. They start you off with complimentary pretzels and a cheese dip. Love it!!!! We had the nacho platter which is HUGE and it won't reheat well so bring your appetite. We all shared the prime rib sandwich which was good but let's talk about the loaded hash browns. They are like stepping into a church basement with gooey cheese and onions... It's just plain good comfort food. I highly recommend because you can get fries anywhere. Service was friendly and quick. Even the owner came out and asked about our meals. It's great to see an owner involved and working his restaurant. I will return and try some other items but I'm mostly looking forward to sitting on the sunny deck relaxing with a beer. It's worth the hype!

Food was decent, atmosphere was also fine, but service was not good…read more We had been wanting to try this place for a while so we invited our friends to join us. We got there and we had a reservation, so we were seated right away. We ordered appetizers and we all ordered steak dinners and three of us ordered beer. The tap beer was just so-so. The steak dinners were pretty good. My steak was more medium-well than medium-rare, but still good. And the mashed potatoes and veg were really good. I'd go back for the food, but we were just not cared for by our server. She didn't bring plates for our appetizers and didn't check back so we were just eating over the table for quite a while. We also got the wrong wing sauce and needed to have one of our orders of wings replaced which our server seemed slightly annoyed about. Then after our appetizer plates were cleared one of our group accidentally handed in his silverware. After we got our dinner, the server also didn't check back for a while so our friend was left unable to eat his food for quite a while. Lastly, we all would have ordered more drinks and dessert but the server never asked us if we wanted anything else. Overall, the server was not pleasant or friendly or interested in our table and we just didn't feel cared for in a way that would encourage us to come back again.
