Pretty impressed by this place! It's a very unassuming location outside, but once you go inside,…read morethe vibes are immaculate. I love all the air plants they have and the dark interior really does make it more of a "classy dive" as their name suggests. We came here for a Sunday lunch and to catch the Brewers game. They had a three dollar special on domestics when we went, which was cool. Our server was nice and our orders came out promptly. The food was absolutely delicious. I was blown away by it actually. When I go to dive bars, I don't have the highest expectations for the food because usually the food is mediocre. However, at this bar, it really blew me away. I had the ODB smashburger with regular fries. The burger was juicy and flavorful with such a fluffy, soft bun. I love that they put crispy onion straws in it for a little crunch. The fries are steak fries. They had some beer batter type of coating that made them so crispy and yummy. I'm glad I stumbled upon this place. I look forward to coming back to catch another game and eat their delicious food!

We started with the really big pretzel and birria nachos. Both appetizers were HUGE! Everyone loved the pretzel. It was soft with a perfectly crisp outside and did not have a dry inside like a lot of the soft pretzels I order out. The cheese dip was excellent too. The nachos were fantastic--loved the pickled onions. They were a unique and tasty addition. After the large appetizers, we realized we didn't have room for full entrees. Everyone ordered some wings. I really wanted to try the hot sauce but was scared to commit. Our server was super friendly and brought me some out to test with bread. Loved the flavor, but it was indeed too hot for me. I went with the garlic parm sauce (so good). My son got a side of the Mac and cheese which I thought was delicious. Cavatappi noodles, breadcrumbs, oh my! ODB's menu might feature some "typical bar food" but it is realllllllly good bar food. The menu has a great variety of choices but isn't too big and overwhelming like a lot of places. The bar looked fun too, there was a dj and everything. I'll be back (probably for that birria sandwich I had my eyes on!).

Great place to grab a drink!…read more This place has a wide enough selection for everybody to choose from draft cocktails to draft beers. You can come with a group of friends and enjoy some conversation. I will also say the bartenders are great as they don't rush you and help you with the menu making things pretty seemless. It's a smaller place creating a more intimate setting that allows for great time to catch up with friends or spend time with the special someone. I enjoyed their draft old fashioned as it was better than most old fashioned on draft.

We sat down at one of their cozy booths after a bit and hung out. The vibe is homey, cozy, rustic, and just good vibes overall. They have cool decor with huge plants and wood all around. The lighting makes it nice and cozy but not too dark. It's great during the day or later at night when the sun sets. I ordered their on tap espresso martini. It was super good! It had a strong coffee flavor which I really like, I do wish I saved that for my last drink of the night because it was very dessert like. I also ordered a 5oz Guinness which was perfectly poured and just the right size for what I wanted. It made sense it was perfectly poured since the bartender was Irish! He was great with getting drinks out quickly and always being cheerful with all of the guests, no matter how busy it was. Another must see Tosa/Milwaukee spot because it is just that good!

We were delighted to learn about how they got their name and a little history about Greendale and Eleanor Roosevelt in the back of the menu. The space transforms a little for dinner, lower lighting for more ambiance dining. The menu has a good amount of options and the specials sounded delicious! I love that they start you out with an amuse bouche, it really elevates the experience. I went with the Peach & Herb Salad with chicken and my husband got the Short rib Bolognese. We both really enjoyed our dishes but sadly didn't save any room for dessert. Next time! Depending on when you go, downtown Greendale can get pretty busy, which makes parking challenging. There are a variety of shops and restaurants nearby, so it is a popular date night spot.

Date of visit: April 18, 2026…read more A group of us try to get together every few months since we don't work together any more and this time around I picked The Eleanor Room. I so rarely get to Greendale (honestly, can't say that I had ever been to anywhere in the village besides the mall) and I liked that we could make a reservation, making it a nice change of pace. The decor is lovely, very Art Deco, a nod to Eleanor Roosevelt, the namesake of the restaurant. I was very pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the interior was given that the exterior is essentially a strip mall. What's that old saying about books and their covers? Service was great, both attentive and timely, and everyone very much enjoyed their food. Monte Cristo is one of my favorites and this one was done very well. My coffee was also good and she kept it coming, which I also appreciated. Really the only sour note in the entire experience was being asked to vacate the table. While it was not handled terribly poorly, I would have recommended they offer us something to shift to the bar to not end the meal on a less than positive note, but that's just me.

I was in the area today so I stopped by and the lack vehicles in the parking lot led me to believe that it was closed but an open sign was on. The place is nothing fancy and empty on a day with a lot of festivals going on. Brian was the only person in the place except for the bar tender so it was empty. As a new person I must say that I talked to Brian and the bar tender for an hour and a half so the place was welcoming and not clicky like some bars. The drinks are reasonable with a tall rail cocktail at $4 which was nice.

McCoco's stood out to me so I decided to give it a try. The service was great- it's a small establishment and once we walked in someone immediately greeting us and sat us down. The ambiance was very pleasant. They had pictures of the Caribbean on all the tvs and it felt very tropical Once we were sitting we got a complimentary bowl of soup. It was so warm and perfect for the cold day. I forgot what it was called but it was very delicious. Food I would say overall was good. I was hoping the tostones to be a bit more crispier and a little more garlicky tho /: My mofongo was good too - again missing just a tad more garlic. The meat was well seasoned and very tasty. My boyfriend got the Jibarito and he basically said the same thing about the garlic and crispiness of the tostones and his jibarito sandwich. I would still recommend this place tho! And I would for sure come again to explore the rest of the menu (: 3 1/2 - 4 stars overall
