I am picky about my coffee and when I asked for Double Shot espresso and dark roast they accommodated me. I even went back several days in a row while visiting. They went to the Day-O in San Andreas and ordered a Freedom Fizz. I do not recommend it, it tasted like cleaner or strait lime juice, no sweetener. It did take me a little bit to bring it back because I had to stop somewhere in the meantime, but I did not drink any of it. I only took the one drink and decided it was gross. I tried to get it switched out for something else. The first girl said that would be possible, the second girl said,"no according to the owners they can't just give you a drink or switch it out because you don't like it." And since the other girl that told me in the beginning, they would switch out my drink was already making it. They charged me $9.10. For the new drink. Dale at least takes 10 to 20 minutes every time you go through the drive-through, not to mention one time when I went in there in the morning, the girls spilt hot coffee on me. I usually don't complain because a lot of the girls there are nice and young and are learning. But I was so let down by them, telling me one thing and doing another and then acting like, it was my fault they were selling gross drinks. I do not recommend this drink. It makes me hesitant to try other stuff because then I'll just be wasting my money if I don't like it. read more

Went there today and after ordering $15 worth of coffee and waiting almost 20 minutes was told they will not accept my $50 bill. I understand having rules but they didn't offer any solution just said goodbye. I will not be going back. They have poor customer service skills and are very inconsistent. We have stopped at this Day-o. And the one in Angels Camp on several occasion hoping that each time it will be better then the last time, and so far it has been 70/30. 70% bad and 30% being ok. Their drinks are always different and does not taste the same ever. This last time, I ordered a mocha and received hot milk. Literally no chocolate and no espresso in it. I've been going to this place almost daily since it opened, but it has deteriorated badly and I'm done. Recently there has been a marked deterioration in both the friendliness and the competence of staff with a lot of nonsense, attitude, and eyerolls thrown in. I'm also never charged the same price for the drink I order. Sometimes I want a double Americano (2 shots of espresso and hot water) but in a smaller cup because I prefer the espresso less diluted. Sometimes I'm charged nearly a dollar more than other times, and this is because they are back again to intermittently charging it as a "single Americano with an add shot"--which, stupidly, costs nearly a dollar more than a "double Americano" So, literally, they charge you way more if you want the THE EXACT SAME DRINK but with less water and a smaller cup! After the last "mean girls" eyeroll routine when I questioned the logic of this, I'm done. Bought a coffee machine for my office and I make my own when it's time for my break. My one star is based specifically only on this one location, because all other locations are great. I don't know what it is about the day-o in San Andreas, but they need to just close it down because it's an absolute joke.. they are slow as hell so please don't think you are getting a drink on your way to work even if you leave your house early. Do yourself a favor and just go to the one either in Valley Springs or Angels Camp. read more

So I usually go to the Day-O in Valley Springs.... Yesterday morning I decided to stop at this location. My co-worker happened to be in the car right in front of me. She placed her order and left...I placed my order and left. I get to work and she tells me she PAID for my coffee before she left and told the girls she was paying for the car behind her. She asks if I they gave me my coffee on her.... No, I paid for mine. She couldn't believe it and was mad. Ladies... If someone pays for the car behind them? Make sure they don't know each other before you decide to just pocket the money. Shame on you. I will stick with The Valley Springs location! read more

Just went to the Day-O location in San Andreas, Ca. I ordered a specialty drink for June called The Tiki Brew (it's cold brew with cream, infused with vanilla and coconut and topped with whipped cream), when she handed me the drink it looked like a regular iced tea, or an Arnold Palmer, it didn't look anything like the picture or description. When I asked the employee if the drink was the Tiki Brew, she insisted it was what I ordered (the Tiki Brew) and she was quite rude about it. It was an Iced Tea for sure! Cold Brew is usually dark, right? My drink was obviously a light color. Also, the employee who took my order had really pretty light blue eyes, I complimented her on how pretty her eyes were and the girl just looked at me with a blank stare and turned around, how rude! Usually when someone gives you a compliment you say "Thank you," next time I'll keep the compliments to myself, yeesh! Usually the employee 's at this location are very sweet and accurate with my drink order, not this time. Very disappointed , and annoyed. read more

I love almost all the Day'os how ever the one in san Andreas has one of the RUDEST , NASTIEST , MEANEST, Little girl with no manners and absolutely no hospitality in her performance, I had asked her name she refused to give it to me ,I then had to as another employee and found out her name is Cheyenne. Appearing I'm not that feels this way . I will be passing that house and wait to hit Starbucks , if I'm going to copperoplis I'll stop if I'm in Sonora I'll stop but as for San Andreas that little girl with glasses needs a lesson in hospitality management. Obviously the above post was written by either a disgruntled employee or her boyfriend. Dayo has locations in Sonora, Columbia, Jamestown, soulsbyville and Sam Andreas. The business is one of tuolumne counties most generous businesses. They donate to countless charities, local fundraisers, schools, and to individuals who are in need of help with medical expenses. For an individual to bash such an outstanding locally owned business who gives so much to their community is a disgrace. The dayo employees take a lot of pride in their work and make every effort to provide each and every customer with excellent service and products. I go to this location everyday. Great service lovely girls that always seem to make my day a little brighter. This location looks a thousand times better then when the old owner had it. Absolutely love the coffee there's a reason they've been voted best coffee 11 years in a row. They just opened a new location in Valley Springs so now I can swing thru that one after work I'm so stoked. I know the owners donate the proceeds from the downtown sonora location every Sunday to local charities and local poeple in need of it. If I could I would give 100 stars to this place. read more
