The restaurant was surrounded in tanks full of lobster, crab, seafood and then a ton of dry aged steaks. Definitely something you don't see in California. Clean and spacious. Service was what you would expect from a Chinese seafood restaurant. Overall the meal was good, for me and a few others at the table the star of the show was actually the fish. The lobster while impressive when they brought it out was not as flavorful as one would have expected. And same with the king crab legs - my favorite have been the ones I've had in SF. Was interesting to come and experience it but I wouldn't come back. I prefer quality food over an IG-moment.

The establishment is famous for its iconic, towering mountains of deep-fried Hong Kong-style lobster and giant Alaskan king crabs.Without a doubt, the food is exceptional. The seafood is extraordinarily fresh--pulled straight from massive surrounding glass tanks--and prepared to absolute perfection with their signature Maggi sauce and garlic toppings. However, the major downside here is the notoriously slow and chaotic service. Due to the massive crowds, servers can be hard to flag down, orders take a long time to arrive, and the staff often feels rushed or inattentive. Despite the frustrating wait times and subpar service, the spectacular flavors and theatrical presentation make it a worthwhile destination for patient seafood lovers.Watch the massive lobster towers being prepared and served fresh at this iconic spot

The restaurant is a decent size with a cozy and relaxing ambiance. We ordered some of the most popular dishes, and everything that came out was absolutely delicious. Every dish had its own unique flavour and taste. There was a small mix-up with our order when one of the staff accidentally brought us tofu shrimp instead of the fried rice we ordered. Amy, one of the servers/managers, handled the situation so professionally. Even though it was already last call and the kitchen was closing, she was able to have the correct dish remade for us. She sincerely apologized for the mistake and even gave us a complimentary plum drink along with some butter cranberry cookies. Amy provided exceptional customer service and was absolutely awesome throughout the experience. Despite the long wait, the food and service made it worth it. I would definitely recommend this place and will for sure be coming back!

Overall the food was good. The sauces were all really good and enhanced the flavour of the shellfish. In my opinion, the salted egg yolk was a bit too creamy and felt better suited for something like a pasta. The curry was alright, but my favourite was the Singaporean chilli crab. It was a whole infusion of flavour and had a little kick to it as well! My only complaint is it is a bit on the pricey side (was about $70 per person), but that's expected with lobster and crab.

We pre-ordered one of the steam pot combos, which came with many different kinds of dishes ranging from raw, steamed, and braised. Geoduck sashimi - Not bad Birds nest and fish maw soup - I honestly didn't remember much from it, so it wasn't anything special. Abalone with black truffle salt - I mean I'm a sucker for abalone, so I liked it. I wouldn't say it's the best I've had. Steamed lobster body - Good Deep fried lobster head with chili - Good Vancouver jumbo crab - Wasn't crazy over it Steamed fresh green bass fish - I didn't like the concept for this one as there were way too many bones still intact inside. Chicken in rice wine sauce - Was not a fan. Vegetables - Can never say no to it especially after eating this much seafood. Braised noodle with abalone sauce - Good We did have a dish where we found a long piece of hair. The manager did apologize and he ended up serving us the rest of the night to ensure nothing else went wrong. Averaging out the entire combo, I do believe 3 stars is a fair rating. I don't see myself recommending this place to others, especially when the seafood restaurant competition is excellent in the GTA.

It's located in this small unassuming plaza with many south asian businesses. I came here for lunch on a Sunday with a group of 14 people and they were super happy to accommodate. We made a reservation in advance. The inside is small dark yet cozy. No real interior design but that's typical for a Hakka Chinese restaurant in Scarborough. There were two other groups already eating before we all arrived. The staff were very nice and pleasant and even adjusted all their portion sizes so that instead of serving 13 pieces as the default they would give us 14 so that everyone had one. We ordered the wonton noodles, crispy breaded shrimp balls, chilli chicken, chilli fish, preserved lime fish, vermicelli, and white rice. Overall, the flavours were good but nothing blew me away. This is your standard Chinese Hakka restaurant but with very accommodating service.

A very friendly gentleman brought out the menu and some tea as we scanned the well-priced lunch menu. Since we both came for chili chicken, we tried 2 versions of this lunch special; one on crispy chow mien (extra) with a soft drink and one with hot and sour soup and steamed rice. The lunch combos come with a spring roll and a choice of soup or a soft drink and was around $14. Our food came out pretty quickly and it was piping hot which is always great! The hot and sour soup was very good and it actually had a nice kick to it with chunky tofu and veggies morsels. My friend took a spoonful and found it to be too spicy for her, but I have a decent heat tolerance and it tasted perfect for my palate. The chili chicken on our lunch looked equally good, but fell short as the chicken pieces were small, dry and tasted of old frying oil which was unfortunate because the gravy was so good. Maybe next time, I will try a different protein to see if that can earn the restaurant the rest of the stars. Looking forward to coming back to try other items here soon!

The oysters were excellent. We had a dozen Mapeques ($1.50 special) then 1/2 doz Fanny Bays (my friend likes the huge ones... whereas anything that large needs to be cooked for me) and 1/2 doz... something from the Eastern US that was good. Their mixed shellfish fry plate was quite tasty. We also had their calamari, which was better than any other I've had in a long time. If you like fried calamari, this is the one to have. If you are iffy about it, definitely have it here, because it's excellent. And just to keep the deep fried theme going, we had a side of fries, lol. We ended up making friends with the couple beside us at the bar. Shots were had, friendships made. More shots ensued... Now we are going to see them perform with their band at Massey Hall at the end of May. The things that happen on a Friday night! The staff were fabulous. Very friendly. I was absolutely shocked by how cheap our bill was for all the food and booze we had! I actually asked the guy to make sure he hadn't forgotten anything because it seemed wrong! Despite seated near the door, it was well insulated and I never felt cold. The seating is still bar-like, with metal chairs over something more comfortable. The menu offers both HK-style cafe dishes and western seafood-oriented dishes. Staff appears to understand limited Chinese, and they double checked what our group ordered for drinks. I decided to go for the baked seafood spaghetti with cold Dutch tea (both hot and cold drinks are at the same price!). The presentation was a bit messy but flavourful. I wish the staff gave extra plate for me to place the empty oyster and clam shell rather than pushing them to the edge of my plate. The staff never gave us any water until we asked. The good thing is, they never rushed us to pay and our group chatted for a long time. Price wise, it was excellent. Service wise, could be improved.

For this type of meal, I want a flavour explosion but Good Catch fell short. Not sure if this is the place I'd hit again if I wanted a mean seafood boil.

We were impressed by how quickly the food was prepared. Service was attentive and efficient. They brought teas to the table and a soup (hum choy tong) which was very good. The noodles (e-fu) were cooked just right and very flavourful. This contrasted well with the braised tofu and fish with gravy on rice. The dishes worked together to balance out the flavours. I was astounded by the portion of the beef curry - and it was super delicious! The noodle soup was good, it mainly took the flavour of the egg noodles, but I was happy with it. The beef was mainly beef tendon rather than actual meat, but for the price I wouldn't expect anything else. The iced HK milk tea was refreshing and they put it in a to-go cup which was very convenient. I will say that the service isn't great but it did the job. Before tip but after tax, it was $30 - which is really great for the amount of food we got (considering it was a drink, soup and entree for two). They take credit over $20.
