I hired Daybreak Serving to serve a defendant in a small claims case and the experience was extremely frustrating. Over a month passed with only two service attempts despite me repeatedly providing detailed information about the defendant's work schedule and location. The workplace was only a few blocks from their office and the defendant was not actively hiding from service. Communication eventually shifted away from actually completing service and toward asking me to remove my negative reviews before they would proceed with alternative service paperwork. My request for alternative service was later denied by the judge because additional supporting information was needed, which caused even more delay. I understand service can sometimes be difficult, but in my case it felt like there was very little urgency or effort despite being paid for the service. I ultimately had to pursue other options myself to move the case forward. read more

Other companies were more money and weren't answering messages and the whole process felt difficult and overwhelming.
