I even told them that tech support wanted them to call, but they ignored my request. Fast forward to now, and because I called Coastal Fuel, my tankless water heater works like a charm! They fixed all the things the other company did wrong, and they called tech support. Turns out it was a small piece that broke and easily changed out. Would I recommend this company? YES, YES, YES!! Luckily I found Justin at Hearth n' Soul. Justin is a one man army and seems to do fireplace repairs up and down the mid-Atlantic. Though he has recently settled his roots in Wake County. He has plenty of review on Thumbtack which is how I found his company. Anyway, I tried doing the basic fixes on the fireplace myself to no avail. Called Justin and scheduled a Basic Service which included a diagnosis and repair if needed. The only additional cost would be any parts if warranted. That's exactly was was provided. Justin came in, identified the problem and explained to me what was happening. He said it can be one of 2 things failing so he will get both parts and apply whichever part has failed. He did not charge me during the initial visit. He returned a week later with the parts, tried each out to see if it did the trick and poof...problem solved. I was only charged for the basic service and the part that was actually replaced. Honesty and reasonable costs are harder to find with specialized service companies, so this refreshing experience was one I had to share for the greater good of others that may be facing fireplace trouble.
