The terrible email I received when I complained to their corporate office.

My family stayed here July 3, 2021. I start with that fact since the owner/manager has called me a liar when I left a Google review, saying that my name didn't match the registration. Well, my Google handle is Sizzlin' Dixie. So it would make sense that that wouldn't actually be on my driver's license. But just in case, I'll post a pic of my reciept. This place was disgusting! The floors weren't vacuumed, the bathroom smelled like dirty feet, the staff was very rude and made us check in an hour late but here's the best part!! We all (4 of us) woke up with bedbug bites and saw two bedbugs on the bed at 6:00 a.m. Wow! I did tell the clerk when we checked out at 6:30, she said "okay". That was it. Just......"okay". Oh yes I called the health department yesterday! This is a garbage hotel with even worse management. Do not stay here!

My cousin Leesa and I are here now and this is the nicest Days Inn I've stayed in. Our room is very clean and comfortable. The beds are super spacious. We have a flat screen television with all the major channels and a microwave/refrigerator. The bathroom is well stocked with a great shower and very cute sink. The hotel has an indoor pool and hot tub. The hot tub was very warm and nice. It was the perfect temperature; not too hot or cold. We didn't use the pool as it was too cold. The breakfast included: eggs, make your own waffles, granola, sausage, biscuits, cereal, pastries, juices, and coffee. It was adequate and filled us up. This is a very nice Days Inn and we would definitely return.

I have no idea what kind of bug, but woke up to this in the bathtub of room 2.

This is a one star rating and that is generous. Got there late and 1st room had a cockroach. Moved and woke up to another bug in the bathroom. Really dirty rooms. Guy at front desk in the morning asked me what I wanted from them, offered nothing, and then told me it doesn't take long to mess up a room so you can ask for a refund. He also told me I should have checked the second room over better at midnight. I actually had looked for roaches but didn't see any when we moved at midnight with two young children.

Clean rooms. We had several rooms with double queen beds. The rooms were clean and the AC worked.

Against my better judgement, I decided to do a small trade show in Joplin. Most bad decisions are…read morefollowed by unintended consequences and this trip was no exception, it followed Murphy's Law to a tee. Check in was fine, the desk clerk was friendly and that part went smooth, but as soon as I pulled around to my room, I met my neighbors. South of the border car dealers who couldn't park straight to save their lives, various pet owners with large dogs that enjoyed dumping in front of the rooms, and meth users galore. Those guys pissed me off the worse, as besides being loud, they really seemed to enjoy tossing their cigarettes unto the dry mulch where the plantings were in front of the rooms. Being risk adverse in the fiery death department, I would periodically come out with an ice bucket full of water to put out the smoldering mulch....I sensed it made my neighbors upset as I guess it made them feel inadequate....that was my intention. It's sad that ownership has let this place slide to where it is, as you can tell it was well built and isn't obsolete, most of its problems are superficial. The sliding closet doors are on rusted out tracks, and the ceiling vent is rusted along with the ends holding up the curtain rod. The lamps in the bedroom are rusting too. Most Choice Hotels use these lamps and I've never seen this at any of those places.Other than the lump in the shower floor, most of this could be cured with proper ventilation. The breakfast was adequate, but the floor show was exceptional. The Tiger King was there with Honey Boo Boo, and after he strutted around the room showing off his tucchus and the fact that he's going commando, as evidenced by his massively ripped jeans, he and his sweetie got down on their knees to pray before eating. I'm not kidding!

Let me explain: the bed, chair, dresser, the fridge and microwave, desk, and lamps were all in good condition. But once you headed over to the bathroom area, things changed. The room with the toilet and shower had a very weird smell that I could not pinpoint what it was. And strangely enough the water it's self smelled weird. And I cannot even begin to explain what it smells like or what I could compare it to as an example. All I know is I took a very fast shower. There was a tissue dispenser with no tissues. The exhaust fan and lights in the top of the shower room were extremely dusty and dirty and the fan did not work. Pics below. There was some subtle dark stains on both of the towels but they smelled clean so I don't know...One of the pillowcases had a dark stain on it so I just didn't use that one. We had rented two rooms. So his room had bugs all over it some of them dead some of them alive. And he said that it smelled like bug spray had been sprayed on the services. A few bugs escape the bug spray and the ants were crawling on his bed. As you'll see from pictures below it got worse. Fire alarms are relatively cheap. Why don't they just replace this? Then you have the hairdryer coming off the wall which could be an electrical hazard. Refrigerator in his room did not work but they at least brought him a new one. It's just insane how one room is partially decent and the other is just so gross. Take your chances if you must. All I can say is I am glad our road trip is almost over with our dogs and we settle in our new home.

Room was a bit stuffy but cooled quickly. There were no tissues in the dispenser, no channel line up card, no local list of amenities, and when my hubby asked for some tissues and a channel list the clerk stated "we're not required to provide that, but there's a stack of napkins over on that counter." There were lots of flies due, I'm sure, was due to the heat and the location of the trash dumpster. The ice machine was located all the way in the back furthest point of the property. You would be better served by going to the Pete convenience store gas station at the front parking lot, its much closer and the clerks friendlier. The rooms are very old and basic. The shower head was horrible and the water faucet knobs had no covers. Hot water was sufficient. Nothing to write home about, if you just need sleep, provided you don't have noisy neighbors with dogs, you can get a bed and a shower for lees than $70.
