Horrible room - after locking door you could see light coming into crack in door which had been kicked in at one time. running toilet; sink did not drain; furniture old; room dirty. Bugs on the floor. Stained mattress. Don't waste your money!! Oh and after paying $85 for this unsafe room they required a 50$ deposit for 'incidentals' .... I could not feel safe and I left and asked for refund. But they said I stayed in the room over 30 minutes and they recorded me!! Hidden camera(??). Crack and drug hotel STAY AWAY!!!! If you have a choice of either sleeping in your car or staying at this nasty dump, sleep in your car... We got delayed by traffic and construction and couldn't make our destination, and were forced to find a last minute place to stay. My wife called the national Wyndham booking number, and a nice woman helped us find this motel in Wilson, NC... Turns out if you have to check in late, they won't even let you into the lobby. The whole transaction takes place through a tiny hole in a window where a young woman takes your credit card and then walks out of sight for 3-4 minutes to run it through a credit card machine. Both my wife and I remarked how unusual it is to have one's card out of sight for so long. Usually this transaction would happen right at the window without the card ever leaving the customer's hand. In this era of identity theft, it's a perfect opportunity for someone to run your card through a skimmer without you ever even knowing it. (We've had vital information stolen before.) When we mentioned this, the young woman grew instantly hostile, saying "Why would you accuse me of stealing your money?" shouting at us through the tiny hole in the window. Ugh, another arrogant Gen Z drone providing the antithesis of customer service... In addition, the motel adds a $50 fee to your bill up front, they say in case you damage the room... Well, not surprisingly, when you finally get through all the front window drama and find your room, you'll see they apparently all come pre-damaged: Broken locks, chair gashes in the wallpaper, and such a big air gap in the door frame that cold air and traffic noise pour in all night long... Horrible! I mean it's clear the hotel has low standards. This is the worst hotel I've stayed in that wasn't called a motel. Soon as I walked in... no lights, and lamps that dont work. Obvious cigarette burn holes nicely presentable on the made up bed. The ceiling was apparently recently plastered. They didnt even bother to clean up the shavings, paint, and chips from the work. TV is horrible. The TV itself looks fairly up to date so I assume they somehow have an analog connection running from an antenna or something. It looks like someone kicked the door in from looking at the inside of the door. They didnt even bother to fix the broken chain lock (likely from kicking in the door). The bathtub has water rust on it. The cleaning people dont even clean to make it look presentable. The toilet bowl was literally broken and clearly glued back together. Dont take my word, just look at the pictures I shared. You cant make this stuff up. The hotel I normally stay in was booked. The nightly rates for this hotel is almost the same as the nearly 5 star. The people that stay hear likely won't drive out to 264 for much nicer hotels, for nearly the same rate. I noticed this hotel was rated 3-stars. I definitely didnt get a 3-star room (1-star). I just dont understand how anybody who inspects these rooms would even rent them out. If I owned this property and was paying someone to manage it, they'd be fired. If the owner is aware of this condition (he/she has to know), they are just as bad and are accountable. I rented for two nights. This review is on day one, and I didn't even feel comfortable sleeping in the bed. It's just that bad. Again, just look at the pics. The sad part is that their rates are almost as much as the nice hotels near I-95. Unfortunately the people in the neighborhood dont have access to the nice hotels, so they pay just as much for this place (shameful). read more

This was the worst place I have ever! My family and I checked into three rooms and there were bugs on the sheets red stains on the sheets. The air conditioning had green mold and dust. We asked for another room. Got the keys but it was OCCUPIED with a person that recommended we not stay on that side of the hotel. Got Another key and went in that room which had HAIRS in tangled in the sheets. Most of the lights weren't working. We had to plug In the lights which were covered in dust. Went in the bathroom and the toilet had feces in it!!! Never again read more

Hello all We left reading pa. At 6pm and drove until midnight got tired and found a hotel in Wilson North Carolina called the days inn. Great guy working at the counter looked at booking.com and found great rate but when I got to the counter the guy said I did not need that he would use a discount card he had. Thought that was awesome. Rooms very clean and good heat. Bed was terrific slept like a baby will definitely come back if we are in the area. Thanks again for a great night sleep. read more

I come to Wilson several times a year to visit family. Our normal hotel was sold out as well as the other 3-5 star hotels. This was the next best thing that had a room. Now I know why. It needs to be updated. We seen a roach in our room. The staff is very friendly. We did not eat the breakfast. I guess you get what you pay for. read more

My family & I were stuck in the middle of severe thunderstorms & possible flooding on I-95 S last night. We used our GPS to find the nearest hotel & after calling 3-4 hotels than were either too high or sold out, Days Inn had a room available for only $69. We arrived after 10p and the front desk rep was so accommodating & friendly. She gave us a room on the first level and despite having system problems due to the weather she checked me in manually. Our room was just what we needed - 2 beds & a bathroom. My daughter & I were able to find a 24-hr CVS right up the street to pick up some necessities & a Taco Bell for a quick dinner. We were able to get extra towels & washcloths from this nice gentleman that was there after the shift change. Shower was hot & perfect. AC in the room was great & the beds were comfy. Breakfast is free and it's perfect to put something in your stomach. Waffles, toast, cereal, instant oatmeal & grits, juice & coffee 6a-10a. Not a Marriott or Hilton but if you need somewhere to get some sleep on when on a road trip this is the perfect spot! read more

Wish I could give this place negative stars. I booked the room over the phone (after checking out the website). I was in North Carolina for a funeral and needed something close to where I was going. When I got there, I was shocked at the conditions. The pictures on the official website are FAKE. The only thing the pictures got right was the layout of the rooms. 1- The floors were sticky. Yes, ALL OF THEM, Including the bathroom. 2 - The bathroom tiles and fixtures were rusted and broken and/or covered in mold. 3 - The makeshift furniture was barely keeping together. And that was just for starters. Luckily I have a wife with a touch of O.C.D. so, we had our own toilet paper and thank the Lord for that! The toilet paper provided had a "fruit punch" looking stain on it and there was no holder. They just shoved it into a hole in the wall. 4 - No iron or coffee pot in the room (which come standard in most hotels and motels) 5 - The "formerly white" towels they provided us with were now a shade of off-white with stains on them. 6 - Only one of the lamps in the room worked and the bulb was so old it hardly gave your basic candle any competition. When I tried to take a shower; I noticed that not only was the floor of the bathtub also sticky, but the shower fixture leaked water onto the bathroom floor. At one point, I stepped out to grab something from my car and was locked out of my room as my keys (both of them) randomly stopped working. I tried to call the desk 4 times (no answer). So, as a reasonable adult, I walked downstairs to the front desk and promptly realized that there was nobody there. No bell. No way to call anyone;s attention. After my 5th phone call somebody finally answered and brought me new keys. After a thorough inspection of the beds (and I mean thorough); I went to sleep. In the morning I decided to head down for the "continental breakfast". When I got to the "breakfast area", I was presented will a bowl of OLD APPLES and nothing else. LITERALLY NOTHING ELSE. At some point those apples used to be red, but not anymore. This motel (trust me it's not a hotel) is the definition of a crackhead motel. I don't even think hookers would want to bring their customers to this place. The only reason I stayed the night was because the other places in the area had no rooms. My recommendation to anybody is to keep your money in your pocket and stay away from this tourist trap of a nightmare. read more

I made a reservation for this hotel on Booking.com for my daughter and I. We were traveling to Virginia to visit family and had been driving for five hours only to arrive and the very rude desk clerk told me there was not a reservation in my name. I gave her the confirmation number, and again she told me there was no reservation in my name. She then proceeded to reluctantly tell me that she could "rent" me a room and asked "what kind of room do you want?" When my daughter and I walked through the door of the room she "rented" us, it was filthy! Bed coverings were in the entranceway, left over pizza from the previous guests was still there etc. I immediately got a refund and found a much better hotel 5 miles away @ Country Inn & Suites. read more

Requested several rooms all with same problems! So dirty! Both had hairs all over bathroom shower and toilet, bugs flying around room, stains all over carpet, walls, & door. Upholstered chairs in both rooms had big white thick stain on them, both beds have stains and long hairs, curly hairs, dirt ALL OVER the sheets!!! One big one looks like dried blood! The walls to outside are paper thin and I can hear someone hanging outside the door. You gotta choose between alarm clock and lamp by bed due to shortage in outlet plug ins, and huge whole in wall behind bed that looks like a outlet should be...And the best part is the light and phone don't work to call the front desk. I was checked into the hotel in a rush with no explanation of amenities or location of things, and there's nothing in the room to show you either. Would never recommend paying over $60-75 tops for this place. read more

This place sucks! They showed me to three diff rooms tonight and in the end they had to agree to give me my back. 1-steps to second floor are not up to code no matter what the manager says. The unevenness is noticeable to the eye. In the 15 minutes I was there, I tripped and so did another guest. 2-got to the room and the door lock was malfunctioning. The manager didn't believe me and made me walk back to the room (with my bleeding toe) to confirm I was correct. 3-second room has a family of bugs accessing the bathroom through the 1 inch gap in the exterior wall and bathtub (I have pictures to prove it). 4-third room was on the exterior of the hotel facing a busy 4 lane street and I didn't feel safe at all. While it's not a five star motel it gets five stars for the price. It's soooo much better than the flea bag motels we've stayed at while driving to myrtle beach or Orlando from CT. For $70 you can't go wrong. Clean, friendly, and comfortable beds (most important after 12hours on the road). Free breakfast too!! It's about 7 miles of 95 but worth the extra drive. read more

Stopped for overnight on way to Florida. Place is ok. Pretty clean. I think for a couple of bucks more I would choose the Fairfield Inn. Closer to 95, and much newer. This Days Inn is old and in major need of updating. Shower very weak. Beds comfortable. Tv new. Good internet. Tub/sink area poorly maintained. Rooms need painting, etc. I am a maintenance person for a time share and I can say this room would not pass. Breakfast is sparse, but served at 5:30am for early risers. Fairfield breakfast is much more elaborate but not served till 7am. The place is about 10 minutes off 95 and the address did not show on my GPS. Definitely not more than 3 stars as the are so may others to choose from. read more

I'm from Charlotte and didn't know what to expect because I don't travel much. I would recommend this location to anyone who's looking for a nice hotel stay. I broke down in my RV in Wilson a week ago. I had ended my relations with Days Inn because of issues at a lot of sites, however I needed to stay in Wilson close to where my RV was being repaired. This Wilson days inn is rated 2 stars and is what it is. Yes it's a bit dated. However the staff under Yeshas management is wonderful, kind, and hardworking to maintain the property. Other than a few nats in the room and carpet needing to be replaced, I stayed in a room which had not been updated yet. It was as clean as it could be, and everything in the room worked well. The bed was new and very comfortable. My AC worked just fine., and plenty of hot water. My RV repair is going to cost me the shirt off my back. Management knew my situation and offered me fair extended rates. Good job shout outs to Yesha, Brittany, Candace, Cynthia, Cathy, Reggie, and all other staff. read more

I came to this hotel as an evacuee during Hurricane Florence. I made the reservation online the day prior. Upon checking in, I inquired about the policy for getting a refund if I didn't have to stay all of my reserved nights. The lady said that I just had to let the front desk and the website that I scheduled through (www.hotelsone.com) know by 11 am the day that I wouldn't need the reservation for. She said that, in this case of the hurricane, it shouldn't be any problem to get a refund. I stayed one night. The facility was filthy! The outdoor trash bins were overflowing and stinky. There was trash along the sidewalks and outdoor hallways. The room smelled awful and had flies in it. It smelled like rotten food. The shower had small curly hairs in it. I had no choice so stayed the first night. In the morning, I inquired about cancelling the rest of my reservation. The attendant said it was fine but I had to do this through hotelsone.com. Throughout that entire day, starting around 10 am, I attempted to phone hotelsone.com. However, every time I entered my itinerary number, the automated system hung up on me. I was willing to forfeit one of the nights of the reservation since I knew that the cancellation was now late. However, I was driving home during a natural disaster situation. The normally 2-hour drive took 7 hours, due to flooding and the aftermath of the hurricane. There were police and military vehicles directing traffic around washed out roadways. It was bad. I couldn't just pull over and constantly call this company! I got home later that day, still not being able to contact the site. The next two days were spent cleaning up a flooded and damaged neighborhood from the storm. I was finally able to access internet and cell signals again eventually and tried to call and email hotelsone.com, still to no avail! After many calls and two emails that were never responded to, I finally got an attendant, who stated that he had to put in a ticket to contact the Days Inn to see if they'd allow for my refund. This took a few days. Eventually I received an email from hotelsone.com stating that the refund was DENIED! Seriously?! I went above and beyond to communicate my needs and to be respectful of this company. In the end, I was charged over $300 for a hotel room that I didn't use, while Days Inn had the ability to rebook it!! I was victim to a natural disaster that caused major emotional and financial hardship to my family. I now feel as though hotelsone.com and Days Inn took complete advance of me during this more-than-difficult time! As I had alerted the front desk of my cancellation, they got to double charge for the room! I'm very disappointed in both companies and will not recommend either of them. read more
