There is high turn over with in the staff and the board has a problem with being transparent and upfront with the parents. The atmosphere of the student body is very clicky and heavy with favoritism which might be the reason for a bullying epidemic there. The cost to benefit just isn't there when you are literally getting the same education in the public school system. This school started out strong when it was first built but over the past 5 years it has really gone down hill while its tuition increased due to the population growth in the area.

Just do yourself a favor and do not bring your kids here. I don't even know where to start with…read morethis school. First off, I can't recall how many times they shut down due to kids and staff testing positive for COVID. The toys always look filthy and disgusting so I know they aren't doing a good job of cleaning and disinfecting. When they were mandated to clean after having a positive COVID case, is when things actually looked clean. There's many times where the front door will be wide open and no one sitting at the front desk, so just anyone could walk in. Mariella, the person who runs the school, is always extremely rude. She has a snotty attitude and you get the feeling you're being talked about as soon as you leave the school doors. I call every morning before 9 am, to let them know we will be there by 10 am, which is required of us to do. Her phones wouldn't go to voicemail, no one answered the phone, and I called at least 3 times. Then she had the audacity to point blame on me and told me to basically jump through more hoops and contact his teacher. Which even though it's ridiculous, I said fine. Brings me to my next topic, I don't even know who his teachers are anymore because they switch so often. They never have constant or reliable staff. The only great teacher I've met there so far is Ms. Prascilla. There's two teachers who are still there even though I complained about how rude they are to the kids. A teacher with bright red hair is so rude to the kids. She will YELL at them, barking commands and god knows what else. I stayed home from work and kept my son with me any time she was filling in for his class because she is that mean. I refuse to let her watch him. There's some teachers who just don't care to be there and they don't care to engage, play, or teach the kids. There are constantly way too many kids in the classes. I understand it's about 9-1 ratio for kids/teachers for my sons age group but it's chaos. Theres three teachers in one class usually with 9 kids for each teacher. 20 something kids in one class at times. There's been multiple times where I've had to intervene personally between kids because one will be hitting another, climbing dangerously on something, or just crying without any comfort or acknowledgment from the teacher(s). There was a time when a little girl (no older than 3) had a giant piece of plastic in her mouth and no one even noticed till I did, she could've very well choked easily and no one would have noticed till it was too late. There's been multiple times where my child's medicine was never distributed to him. They do medicine time twice a day and I always bring 4 vials, to ensure that they're being used. Yet, I've had multiple occasions where they told me yes, he got his medicine, but there were still 4 vials. Due to the lack of availability in other schools, my child is stuck here until I can find somewhere else. I know of other parents that are in the same boat. 2 stars because the school itself is in a safe neighborhood. Otherwise, it'd be one. I'm pretty easy going too so writing this review is really disappointing.

Both of my children eventually begged me not to send them back--something no parent wants to hear, especially when reliable childcare is a necessity. I ultimately pulled them out because I couldn't keep sending them somewhere they felt so unhappy and unsupported. After I withdrew them, Champions continued to bill me for the following week--even though my children didn't attend. I informed them via email that they were no longer attending, and requested the billing be stopped. They replied that I needed to go online and manually unregister them. I did so, but they still billed me for that week. I've emailed and called multiple times, with clear documentation, but the charges continue. The communication has been incredibly poor--not just regarding billing, but also in terms of daily care and oversight. Champions advertises that children are given time to complete homework, but my kids told me they were rarely, if ever, given that opportunity. Between the lack of support, ineffective communication, and the ongoing billing issues, I'm extremely disappointed. I'm now paying for a week of care my children never received, just to get them to stop harassing me. I do not recommend this program and hope future families receive better treatment than we did.

They served hot chocolate and snacks for the children and family while we enjoyed our students presentation. The staff was very warm and inviting and the music teacher was just a joy. Of course I did favor my own granddaughter but all the children enjoyed it so much. The school is well decorated, well protected and secure and designed for grade school children. The employees were constantly on their phones, texting or surfing the web, instead of interacting with the children, almost every time I walked in. They'd immediately put their phones down and act like they'd been caught doing something they shouldn't be doing -- and no wonder, because they're supposed to be taking care of children, not Facebooking all day!! On occasion, I would arrive to pick up or drop off my child during hours when the kids were outdoors in the play area. I walked towards the daycare from the parking lot, where the employees couldn't see me coming (they have privacy slats in the fence around the outdoor play area, so unless they were watching closely, they didn't see who was approaching) -- and I would overhear one or more of the female staff members (don't know which ones) YELLING at the toddlers. Now, I realize that kids can be rambunctious and naughty from time to time, but is yelling at them really the appropriate response? Especially if you're an employee of a daycare. Your job is to supervise, interact with and care for those children in a gentle, loving, respectful manner. I did NOT like what I overheard on these occasions. It made me feel uncomfortable, and wonder if my own child was ever scolded in that same manner. After the third time I overheard this sort of "discipline," I decided to find other childcare as soon as I could, and I took my child out of Carson Lanes Daycare. Chase was one of the more decent staff members. I never saw him playing on his phone and ignoring the kids, and my child seemed to really like him.

I brought my son with me to work as long as could, as I was waiting for Carson Lanes Day Care Center to open. Now that it open I am so glad that I waited. The room is ALWAYS clean even at the end of the day. Kassie (the director) is very accommodating even with my crazy schedule. My son has his own shelf in their kitchen so I can bring in a stock of all his foods, formula, wipes, and diapers. Not having to remember to bring some in everyday is helpful. One day I forgot to bring in a bottle for them to use, Kassie being ever helpful drove to store and bought one so I could go to work, and she didn't just buy any bottle, she bought the exact brand we use down to it being made in glass (not plastic). She's amazing.... Anyways you should note the picture of the outside play yard does not do it justice it is far nicer than it looks. Additionally, while the surface looks like asphalt, it is not, it is made of a synthetic material that is "spongy" reducing the risk for major injury if a child were to fall while playing outside.
