What a joke. Made a reservation online, completed all documentation and their "move-in" process. I…read moreselected an outside storage unit. I head over to the facility, security code in hand. Upon arrival, code won't work. Tried it at least a dozen times So, I call the number on the sign. Voice mail says "they aren't on site but can be reached by phone." After MULTIPLE attempts, that proves to not be true. I tried calling the Fernly location. That too went to voicemail, saying "Today is September 1st and we are closed for the holiday." Today is in fact November 26. Upon calling the silver springs location, again I only get a voicemail, but they at least give office hours. Thinking I might be able to told to SOME sort of employee, I drive to the Spanish Springs location. Guess what, their office is inside the secure gate, you can't get in unless you have a security code for that location. Negative contact with any living soul. I drive BACK to the Carson location. My security code still doesn't work. I tried a simple, generic code and the gate opened right up. I drive around for a minute to locate my storage unit. Guess what? It's NOT a storage unit. Appreciate, according to Safe Storage, and only Safe Storage, an outside storage unit, is a parking spot. They have a few secure units, but I won't be dealing with this company again. They are misleading and INCOMPETENT!

NOT TRUTHFUL WITH ME - BAD CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE…read more Unfortunately, I had rated them five stars...until I left after several months. I had been out of the country and, after a long drive home, got home from the airport at 2:00 in the morning. I called Anchor's Office Manager and said, "I know today is the last day of the month, but can you pro-rate me one day so I can come in this weekend?" He said they don't pro-rate charges, but for just one day, they wouldn't charge me if I vacated first thing in the morning. I DID...AND A COUPLE OF DAYS AFTER I LEFT, THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD FOR A FULL MONTH ANYWAY. Had I known they were going to be untruthful, I would have left the car there for the month! Instead, I paid a full month's rent for a vacant spot that they rented out. I asked the Office Manager to email his supervisor's contact information to me, which he agreed to, but never did. THIS LEFT A VERY BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH. This was a very bad customer experience.

We also had my husbands beloved 1964 mustang that needed a secure, dry home for the duration, we chose an outside access unit for the car. A friend told me about the 24 hour security cameras, the reasonable pricing and friendly staff there. We called periodically and they were more than happy to let us know all was well. We came to town late one night and we were actually able to access and open the security gate to get my husbands car. I love how lit up it was at night as well. With as busy and rushed as we were to get packed and get to my moms, we were actually able to rent the units online instead of wasting time driving down to Carson city searching. Years ago I rented a storage up here at the lake and someone broke into it with bolt cutters. It had no security and there was no recourse. I felt this place had top notch surveillance-someone would have to scale a fence to rob it plus they would be on camera and under flood lights! highly reputable, professional, well managed units.
