This little Oasis in Wikieup Arizona has been a treat my wife and I have enjoyed since I moved to Arizona from Rockford, IL and married her 9 years ago! The Chicago Dogs are Authentic and the Owner is a real deal chicago transplant not unlike us! We stopped in last weekend on our way back from our 9th anniversary trip to Laughlin, Nevada and The Dazzo's were on point as always! We LOVE this little Oasis in the Desert on our way to Kingman / Vegas. Thank You Guys!! Then I heard what happened just 5 weeks ago... A fish bowl / tip jar on the counter said "Help Frank Dazzo jr. as he was stabbed and does not have health insurance". WHAT??? They hired him as a cook to help him out, and he was a model employee until the day he snapped! He thought he was going to lose his job... He went crazy and stabbed the owners son almost to death leaving him for dead on the floor behind the counter, then attacked the owner and stabbed him in the arm, breaking a bone in his arm. The owner who had a gun at the time pulled out his gun and chased the perpetrator out of the store. The Police finally caught up with the man in Kingman and ended up shooting him, killing him and ending the ordeal. The man was wanted in connection with another killing in New Mexico according to the Owner. My heart really goes out to Frank and the Dazzo Family who were honestly just trying to help the man out. Please visit Dazzo's and donate to help him to pay for the bills for his son's significant injuries. The doctors werent sure he would survive but he did and is recovering well. We live in Surprise, AZ and travel to Vegas often. It's a family tradition to ALWAYS stop at Chicago Eatery on our way their and on our way back. We absolutely love this place! We also purchase the local honey and bee pollen. We just returned from Vegas a few weeks ago and picked up more honey / bee pollen in addition to eating the Chicago Dog - yummy! We don't plan on going back to Vegas for several months so we're making a special trip to Chicago Eatery this weekend. This is how much we love the food, the guy that runs it, the atmosphere and the honey. PS The ladies restroom cracks me up! I often wonder if anyone will be on the comonde out in the open when I enter. LOL read more

I heard good things about this place and on a whim decided to stop on my way home from Vegas. Good choice as it did not disappoint. I only got a Chicago dog and fries but that was all I needed. They use 100% Vienna Beef hot dogs and nothing but fresh toppings. This was the real deal. All beef hotdog with a nice snap when you bite into it. Fresh toppings included relish, pickle, tomatoes, onion and peppers. Definitely hit the spot!! Its hard to give more than 3 stars for a little dive in the middle of nowhere but next time I'll try other menu items that my bump it up to a 4 or even 5 stars. Awesome hot dogs, in the middle of nowhere AZ. We stopped here on a fluke once while traveling from Las Vegas, to use the restroom. It is very clean and nice inside (I was very pleasantly surprised by this), and the food and service are great. My mom is always talking about Chicago style hotdogs. She was even talking about craving them right when we were leaving vegas. On our way back to Scottsdale, I saw a huge Chicago Hotdogs sign and made a u-turn for us to check out the place. I'm so glad we stopped in! The owner was so friendly and is from Chicago. The Vienna hotdogs were amazing and the restaurant had the cutest thought-out decor. You can see the family put theirs heart and soul into this restaurant. After reading the reviews of this place we were looking forward to stopping just to see what all the paranoia was about. There wasn't near enough paranoia but the food and staff was excellent and well priced. I ordered a burger, fries and soda. He ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and chili cheese fries. Both meals were excellent. The owner was friendly and engaging and the place was imaculate and conveniently located! Terrible atmosphere and mediocre food. They are entitled to their political beliefs but as a person of color all of the tea party propaganda definitely made me uncomfortable. It's a shame because I drive through Wikieup a couple times a week for work on my way to Kingman. I was really hoping I'd found a nice local place to support but the service wasn't good and my Italian sausage was stale. As others have mentioned it is a tad overpriced as well. I think a lot of the glowing reviews on here are from people with similar political views. If you are a true American who doesn't like their hotdogs served with a side of fear mongering and Fox News, do yourself a favor and eat at the chevron down the street. read more

We came into a semi packed restaurant. There was a grandfather at the register teaching his two grandkids how to take orders. We placed our order and got a Philly cheese steak, french fries, cole slaw, and done white castles. Disappointingly the white castle burgers were the microwave kind. The cheese steak was out of this world good! Lots of veggies and meat. The fries were good and the cole slaw was even better. This place is a must try and I will be coming back! read more

My go to spot back home was always Johnnie's Beef. Dazzos is as good,maybe better. The fries were hand cut & delicious.Friendly staff,the owners were very helpful. I'm a long haul truck driver (Mostly Western United States) I haul produce from Arizona/Mexico border to Oregon Washington. I've driven by this Family owned and ran restaurant a few times never stopped today I did and am I impressed. Tired and hungry and needing the comforts of home I walked in and right off the bat I see a guy (The Son of the owners I'm bad with names) coming out of the kitchen with a tray of food calling out a food order to me this makes your experience personal, very impressive. I'm not even touching the tip of the iceberg. I needed a shower to do laundry and other amenities (Lol TV) found usually only at truck stops. I found all that stuff here once again very impressive. Even though this is not a stop catering to truckers it's very trucker friendly. This is a true family business as I saw three generations of the family pass through today. There isn't much room for big rig parking but at least 5 trucks could fit here if you got here early enough to beat the constant flow of regulars and passerby's. This isn't even the best part. They have a great gift shop, local honey, authentic Native American made jewelry, and other items. Still not the best part. They also have trailer slips behind the place for RV's. These folks are good Americans through and through and not just because of the giant American flag flown high out front but because they are family owned family run and family proud. Okay time for the best part of my review...... The food is amazing! I had an Italian sandwich for lunch that was good to the last crumb hand cut fries (I don't usually eat hand cut fries always under cooked or over cooked never just right, these were just right) I love hotdogs (A main staple of my diet) smothered in ketchup and relish. The dogs here require no smothering. This place deserves more than five stars in my book. To all my fellow truckers passing this place not stopping big mistake. If your hungry they'll fill you up with big portions. I spent about $60 dollars but that included my shower, laundry, lunch and dinner, and other miscellaneous items lottery tickets. I will be back here again! And a shout out to the owners, Thanks again for your hospitality it was a memorable experience. I promise next time I'll get your names memorized. well you are in a remote zone. remote really remote. and you are thinking it is time for a snack, maybe even lunch, and you come upon a place with all these signs, not your commercial signs, but had made signs talking about Chicago style this that and the other. The lot is dirt. The porch has a patio and it is scribbled on the ceiling by past patrons. There are manikins to catch you eye as you walk up. Big sign - restrooms for customers - else pay a quarter. - The inside is a few booths and it looks like any old rustic hamburger stand. clean, but rustic. signs of all kinds hanging on the walls, and an open arch leading to a gift / trinket shop. Well we ordered the Chicago style beef sandwich and fries and wondered if we should have stopped. Well it showed up and the flavor and portions were wonderful he peppers were cooked just right and the sandwich was stuffed with beef. the fries were extra crispy, and the potatoes with skin on made great fries. It was a hit and if you are coming down highway 93 stop in and have one. It was soo good. read more
