Stopped by last week with a friend and kept thinking about this restaurant. Googled to see reviews and was surprised to see how many good reviews it gets. Weird. At best I'd say the food was okay if you looked past the limp French Fries. Our hotdogs were good so there's that! Lol. Maybe I'd be back if not for everything else. Unfriendly staff, unfriendly atmosphere. I asked for something and got a snarky remark in return. The bathrooms were unclean - weirdly in the women's restroom there's a toilet out in the open despite the other toilets being in stalls. Yes, it's a stop in the middle of nowhere and people probably stop all the time. Maybe someone would use the other toilet if they are desperate? But still. Also, beware that the staff are very into Trump. Newsmax was on and to say it was a bit distracting would be an understatement. I guess some people can look past it... and likely they would probably not want someone like me to give them business. Who knows. Is it their prerogative? Maybe. Is it a "friendly atmosphere"? I guess it depends on your definition and who you are willing to be friends with. I guess they probably are doing okay attracting trump people but thought I'd give a warning to others who aren't... Saw a review from a Yelp friend and thought I would give this place a try on a recent trip back from Kingman. I was planning on getting a Chicago Dog but when I saw the Philly Cheesesteak I could not resist! Ended up splitting a Cheesesteak and Fries. The portions were huge! Will definitely stop here again when we are in the area. It was also nice to see so many locals eating here. There were two gentlemen playing chess when we walked in. I can't recall how many times I drove by this restaurant on my way to Las Vegas from Phoenix, but I can say it was a lot of times. Never gave it a thought. It's a hole in the wall that has a large sign that says, "Chicago Style Eatery". Well, all that changed a few Sunday's ago when I was driving back from Vegas. A friend of mine who is from Chicago and was heading to Vegas, decided to meet in the middle. He swore it would be a good experience. Boy, he was right. I ordered the Italian Beef with sweet peppers and later enjoyed their authentic Italian Ice. The Italian Beef was every bit as good as Luke's and better than Portillos. My 14 year old had meticulous planned out all the stops on our road trip and was excited to check out Dazzo's in Wikieup. I've had a lot of Chicago hotdogs from tons of different establishments in Chicago and back home in Las Vegas and this is the real deal. OK, Dazzo's is the kind of place that's going to get a lot of 5 star reviews and a lot of 1 star reviews. 5 stars because the food is really pretty decent for a roadside place in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere; it's a huge step above Burger King in that regard. It's clean, as well, including the restrooms. 1 star reviews for shoving their somewhat radical politics down their customers' throats. I've been in there when they had signs up promoting the execrable Infowars and of course, there's always Fox News on the big TV. The counter guy has been rude and sullen to me for no reason (and I'm an old white guy, like him!) You can bet they carry and they're living (thank the Lord) proof that this does not always do much good. They clearly enjoy promoting conspiracies and I'm sure they love trolling the libs. I get the feeling that they're out in the middle of nowhere because it's hard to stay in business when you alienate the majority of your potential customer base and they have other places to go. In Wikieup, they can be their free and freaky selves and still keep the place going. And that's a big part of what makes this place unique. I personally don't agree with their political stuff and I don't much love having it blaring at me while eating, but that's also part of the fun. If you can't laugh at the outrageously cartoonish aspects of this place while enjoying the food, then you'd best have a big meal in Phoenix or Kingman and skip Dazzo's. Being that I'm born in raised in Chicago any chance I get to check out some legitimate Chicago grub ,I'm going to take it. Making my way from Phoenix to Las Vegas my cousin who's also from Chicago told me about Dazzos. So I decided to stop in and give it a try ... Just off the side of the road outside of Kingman Arizona if you sneeze you might miss it. RV and truck friendly is important to mention for you folks that applies to. A small spot overall but very clean and kept with ample seating or grab it to go. They do mention " if your food is to go so are you " meaning don't sit with a take out container. These folks are definitely Chicago or atleast the Chicago attitude. All of the Chicago specials you would hope to see from Italian beef , Hot dogs , italain sausage, burgers, cheese steaks etc. Daily specials that change day to day that inside "Pop" meaning soda but very Chicago once again. A host of nick knacks and such for sale, wild honey etc as it is s road sit stop mind you. Vienna products including giardiniera and what I actually went this a Maxwell Street polish sausage wit grilled onions and giardiniera. It was cooked to order and done to perfection, good snap. This little place is on the highway and gets travelers as well as residents I would guess. The food was good, according to my husband. I just got chicken tenders and you can't do much to ruin those. But, and this is a GIANT criticism...the place is covered with Trump memorabilia and anti Biden posters. So, if that is your cup of tea, have at it. I probably would have passed but needed calories to get home to southern Arizona. I took a few minutes to find the owner in the gift shop and shared my thoughts on the in your face politicizing . I will definitely be going back many times to eat here and I live about 45 mins away. This review is from my first visit. No one was in there when first arrived then quickly another car load pulled up. After getting inside you do notice a lot of political things but, for me, ones political views does not dictate to me how much I enjoy a meal. There was a steady influx of people while we ate. My boyfriend and I split a Chicago dog and an Italian Beef. You see, my boyfriend is from Chicago and finding a place that satisfy his cravings has been really hard. Well I think Dazzo's did it. He didn't complain once about anything and we even ordered the Combo Pizza to go. Personally, I enjoyed the food. The flavor is fantastic and even after having to reheat the pizza from the car ride home, it was still really delicious. The Italian Beef and the dog were also really awesome. What even made this visit even more great was there was a sign posted that we were not required to wear a mask. Spoke with the owners of the place, yes they are a little rough around the edges and seem very blunt. According to my boyfriend, that's how people are in Chicago. Regardless every employee was really nice. This eatery doesn't catch me as a sit down and we wait on you hand and foot. You go to the counter, order your food, sit down and get your own damn drinks. On the return journey home from Vegas, we got hungry and our bladder was full so we decided to stop by here and give them a try. The restaurant was clean and very well decorated. Love the mannequins they almost look like real ladies. Very high quality stuff. They have a good view of the sleeping maiden too if you into that sort of mountain stuff. We ordered some deep fried polish hotdogs and some wings. Everyone agrees the food is pretty tasty. The price is decent, and the fries are great. Definitely decent quality stuff here.
