Cute spot located in the park. Stopped in to grab coffee and was surprised with how delicious it was! They have a variety of flavors to pick from and a good selection of things to snack on. Great indoor/outdoor seating. Will absolutely be back again.

Cute little cafe full of snacks, drinks, and a variety of prepared food items. I enjoyed sitting on the patio with my pup. Staff was nice. Definitely fun to enjoy on a pretty day!

The staff was very friendly and the interior design is nice place to take a break after going to the park. We order the strawberry ice cream and mint chocolate chip, which were both great. We also order an iced latte with oat milk which was great.

Outside seating area. Such a beautiful view, right?

Randomly found this place when I searched for coffee while at a nearby park (Kingsland Park). This cafe was literally in the middle of a park. What an awesome location! After getting your goodies, you can sit inside or outside by the water or even walk around the park. **In a rush? Skip to the end for my tips.** They have drinks, various coffee drinks, ice cream, savory food, and baked goods. There's something for everyone. I got an iced latte with a sugar free caramel flavor shot and it was refreshing and delicious. Then, I enjoyed the nice weather and sunshine in the outdoor seating area with a book with my dog. The previous Yelp review I read stated that they gave out dog biscuits, but none was offered. :( Now, I have a place to come to when the weather is nice - for a sweet treat and beautiful views. If you are contemplating about stopping by, I recommend that you do! Tips: -There's plenty of parking! -If it's your first time coming here, it is a bit confusing because you are driving into a park, but the road will eventually bring you to the cafe. -There are 2 entrances. When I was there, they had both doors open because it was so nice. There's a back and front entrance. Back entrance leads to the outside seating area. -When it's nice, sit outside. Such a beautiful view! -I was able to bring my dog in with me when I went in to order. -If your order takes a bit to prepare, they will bring it out to you.

Great outdoor area to relax with a tasty hot chai latte and/or kosher hot dog. Surrouded by a park and a tiny lake. Bring your dog. Service was good. Cheery employees. I didn't try it but their coffee cake looked mighty fine. I would come back!

So soo beautiful area!! Had a coffee run here on a sunday and the vibe was wonderful, park, lake, crowd, ambiance inside and outside the cafe, everything was nice except the coffee or food lol. It wasnt bad but it wasnt good either. We had cappuccino and chicken ceaser panini and both were average I would say. Oh ya the cookie was good, so i guess if you are good with the average coffee, you can pick your coffee and cookie and roam around the park for an hour.. actually i would rather go to this park area with my own food and have a picnic!!

Only got iced lattes here and they're pretty good. Just note that it's inside a park. Also has a nice water view too.

Is this the kind of cafe where you could bring in a laptop and get some work done?

Yes, you can definitely bring your laptop and work in The Boathouse Cafe. I’ve done exactly that many times.

Since Yemeni coffee and tea options aren't common for everyone, they take the time to explain the menu and answer questions, which I really appreciated. However, the Adeni Chai was the only saving grace of the visit. It was flavorful and well made, but the coffee was a massive disappointment. I tried the Jubani after the staff described it as a delicious light-roasted coffee packed with caffeine, but in reality, it tasted like bland cardamom water with absolutely no coffee flavor or body. It felt like I was just drinking hot spiced water. The atmosphere was also a major issue as there was no seating available whatsoever. The crowd was mostly of Middle Eastern descent and many were incredibly rude; people will bump right into you and not say a word. Even worse was the way some customers spoke to the workers, it was absolutely deplorable. Honestly, who raised you? It was uncomfortable to witness. The dessert selection was even worse. Most of what we ordered felt stale and old. The only thing worth eating was the bubble dessert with cheese because they actually toast it. We tried both the pistachio milk cake and the pistachio dream cake, and neither was impressive. The khattafi in the pistachio dream was the biggest letdown; it was so stale and bland I can't believe they actually put it out to sell when it was clearly weeks if not months old. The basboosa was also a disappointment, as it was a very small square of semolina cake for almost $5. Overall, It is not a good place for coffee or desserts, so if you do go, stick strictly to the Adeni chai.

Person who took my order was nice and recommended the strawberry matcha. They took their time making it. I will say it's a bit pricey. The drink was perfect once it was blended! They also have beautiful garden seating. I ordered Turkish coffee, fresh grapefruit juice, Gurmanski dorucak, mini burek with spinach and cheese, and fruit cake. I love Turkish coffee and this was very good. The juice was tart and delicious. The breakfast platter was a showstopper. Two fried eggs, tomato, feta, two meat patties, and homemade bread. The flavors of the meat blew my mind. Who knew that Croatians make the most delicious burgers. This is a hearty and fantastic dish. Also, the burek was flaky and light and not very mini. I took home the cake and enjoyed it later. Light, delicate and not overly sweet, this was a star. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you should stop in for any meal. Seating is first-come, first-served, and guests are placed based on availability, which keeps things fair and efficient even during busy times. The tables for two are intimate and cozy, perfect for conversation, though they can become a bit tight when ordering several dishes at once. That said, the staff was attentive and checked in often enough to clear plates and make room, which made the experience much more comfortable. The dessert menu is separate, allowing guests to enjoy their meal at an unhurried pace before deciding on something sweet. Their beverage offerings are thoughtfully presented. Herbal tea options include green tea, chamomile, and English tea (Stash), and the tea is served in a container that provides two full servings. The cappuccino is well made and served with a sugar crystal stick, adding a distinct old-world charm that enhances the café's European feel. I regret not asking for an additional order of Turkish coffee so that's a regret . What we ordered: * Greek Salad - $18.50 * Cappuccino - $6.80 * Herbal Tea - $6.00 * Uštipci - $17.25 * Musaka - $22.95 * Šnicla (Cutlet Sandwich) - $20.75 * 2 Diet Cokes - $8.00 The musaka is a baked dish and does take about 25 minutes to prepare, as it's made fresh with baked eggs, seasoned beef, and sliced potatoes layered on top. The wait is well worth it, resulting in a hearty, comforting dish that tastes authentically homemade. The Šnicla (cutlet sandwich) arrived beautifully presented on a wooden board, adding a rustic, elevated touch that matched the restaurant's aesthetic. Mom felt it lacked in seasoning but she Didnt leave any crumbs . The Uštipci were a standout--served with feta and honey, generously portioned, and so plentiful that we happily took some home. We were too full for dessert this time, but it's absolutely on the list for a return visit. Due to winter weather, we couldn't explore the back of the restaurant, but even from the main dining area, the decor is undeniably charming and full of character. Overall, Cafe Bubamara offers authentic flavors, generous portions, attentive service, and a cozy, old-world atmosphere that makes it a place worth revisiting.
