CRIMINAL! I had an extremely distressing experience with DBR Roofing & Architectural Metal aka DBR Premium that resulted in over $300,000 in interior water damage--damage that occurred just two days after they supposedly completed roof repairs. At the first rainfall, the roof failed catastrophically due to what I can only describe as negligent workmanship. The leak was not a minor issue--it was extensive and clearly the result of a failure to properly assess the roof's condition and execute a repair that would actually protect the home. In desperation, I requested immediate tarping to mitigate further water intrusion, and shockingly, DBR denied the service outright. There was no concern, no urgency, and no accountability shown for the defective repair they had just completed. Despite the severity of the damage, they ignored all attempts to resolve the matter with professionalism or even basic human decency. Worse, their communication during the dispute over payment was not only bullish and dismissive, but unprofessional to an offensive degree. The owner, Fredy Josef, outright refused to meet outside his own working hours to discuss the damage and treated my availability as a nuisance rather than respecting the enormous inconvenience and financial harm his company had caused. I was treated as though I owed him a favor just to have a conversation about the disaster his crew left behind. Ultimately, and most insultingly, Fredy filed a small claims lawsuit against me for the full amount of the service--a service that directly resulted in massive structural damage and no resolution. After replacing the entire roof with another company, Fredy purposefully cancelled our meeting only to come to my property unannounced and walk all over my new roof to take pictures of someone else's work as false evidence in court. It is, at best, shameful and at worst, a clear example of how not to conduct business in any trade, let alone one where people rely on your work to protect their homes and families. As a woman navigating this experience, I can't help but feel that my concerns were not taken seriously, and that had Fredy been dealing with a man, the tone and treatment would have been very different. If you value your property, your peace of mind, and basic respect as a customer--I strongly advise you to avoid DBR Roofing & Architectural Metal / DBR Premium. RUN RUN RUN from this company. Fredy, the owner of DBR Roofing, is a big liar. He installed a brand new roof on my project and the roof started leaking right after the rain started on the first year. The leaks caused extensive damage to the ceiling and walls. Despite my many calls, Fred did not assume any responsibility or even return to inspect my roof problem. After trying to reach him on countless occasions, Fred finally stopped by, only to then inform me that he will charge me for the repairs. Frustrated and left with no other choice, I ended up hiring a different roofer, spending thousands of dollars for repairs. I am sharing this extremely unfortunate experience to let readers know a few key takeaways. First, roofing is by far and away the most important part of any construction job. If it is not installed properly, it will eventually ruin the rest of the structure. Thus, it's critical to be super careful with the company one hires for this delicate department. Another reason I am writing this review now is because I am now building another project. I was foraging through reviews of roofers to find someone for my new roof, only to come across DBR roofing. I wanted to make sure that other home owners, especially females, be aware of manipulative companies like DBR roofers. Ironically, Fredy responded to my review on yelp " Faye, we installed your roof seven (7) years ago and now you claim it is leaking. However what you didn't mention in your review is that another roofer or plumber made modifications to our original work. Your drain pipes were replaced, not by us. The work by others caused your leaks therefore the repair work will be at a cost. Had the roof not been installed properly you would have known immediately and not after seven years. As we mentioned by phone and by email, we are more than happy to come perform a roof repair due to the work done by others." The above is yet another lie. First of all, the leaks started after the first rain season a year after the roof was installed. By then, I had already contacted Fredy immediately. The reason I hired someone else to repair it was because Fredy did not take the responsibility for the matter and wanted to charge me for the repair. He even declared that I should have paid him $1500/year in advance right after the roof was installed for maintenance of the brand new roof. Isn't that crazy???? More over, I did not install any new drain or touch the roof any further. All companies like this care about is taking fast short cuts, collecting their fees, and running away when needed. Unfortunately, my brief experience with DBR Roofing was NOT GOOD and I'd like to share an honest/accurate recap (several of the negative reviews about them being unreliable on their schedule and expecting potential clients to accommodate them are 100% accurate). I initially reached out to DBR Roofing as I need a new rain gutter installed on my home. They are located very close to my home logistically and appeared to have some positive reviews. Tara was responsive, confirmed they do indeed perform the service I was looking for, and worked with me to schedule an onsite visit to show DBR's estimator (Fredy) the details. I collaborated with her to confirm Wednesday (11/6/24) between 2-4 pm in the afternoon. After confirming the appointment, I took Wednesday afternoon off UNPAID as this is an important project for my home. I then waited all afternoon until the inevitable call came from Tara at 3:00 pm that Fredy will not be making the promised/confirmed/scheduled appointment and would like to reschedule for the next morning! NO THANK YOU! There are many reliable roofers out there, and this company needs to understand that they are in the service business (where they should be reliable to their customers - not expecting everyone to accommodate their ever-changing availability). I won't be taking additional time off work, and hoping Fredy actually shows up whenever ideal for "his schedule". Please heed this honest/accurate recap and beware. read more

Having a roof done is a once in a lifetime endeavor. Unfortunately, I chose DBR Roofing to accomplish that task. Besides their workers ruining patio furniture, deck fencing, and leaving nails all around the house when they finished, (as well as a two-toned roof because Fredy told me he could get matching tiles), Fredy (owner) will not honor his 5-year warranty unless you sign up for their annual yearly service contract. I'm not sure what monthly service contract one would need after spending $67,000 on a new roof! After 3 years of dry weather, it rained. We had a leak under the roof, which was just fixed. So, I called Fredy to come by and take a look. He comes by the house and says the water is coming in from an adjacent deck, WITHOUT SHOWING ME ANY PROOF! He won't fix his work. Instead, he wants to give me an estimate on my deck. I refused that service and will never recommend them to any of my friends that own homes. My only hope for writing this honest review is to save the next homeowner who is considering DBR Roofing. BUYER BEWARE! read more

After the inspection we were walked through what was done/found and some recommendations to improve the overall life and function of the roof. We needed to get my roof replaced and because it is a tutor style home the roof is very steep. I knew this was going to be a big job. Not only was the roof steep, but we had brand new limestone surrounding the house that needed extra care. I interviewed approximately ten companies. Some didn't want the job because of the steepness of the roof and others came in with ridiculously high proposals. Then I met Freddy. From the minute I met him, I could tell he was an honest man. Freddy runs a tight ship. They are very organized and patient. Ronnie who was lovely to deal with when presenting the proposal and helping find the roofing material. Karen who was beyond patient and on top of it for the day-to-day correspondence. The crew was very professional. They were clean and paid attention to detail. Freddie came in well below all the other roofers. His pricing also incorporated covering all the limestone with plywood and providing scaffolding for the steep areas of our roof. Freddy and Dror from DBR Roofing are professional, easy to deal with, kind and honest. We had to redo our roof for the THIRD time in the last year after having two leaks from other roofers who wouldn't repair their work. Our job was also more complex as we had 25 solar panels on the roof. Obviously, we were incredibly nervous going into our third roof job. We didn't have anything to be nervous about. Their guys were kind, clean, and professional. The team was always on time. The work was beautifully done. Freddy had a trusted solar specific licensed person he worked with and together they insured the removal and the re-installation would be seamless. Our panels were installed in a better layout and tilted for better performance as well! Our roof is a mix of flat and shingled. We were only replacing the flat roof but at the connection points Dror and Freddy would point out concerns. Some were urgent and had to be repaired and some they told us were nothing to truly worry about and that we didn't need to spend the money to redo. I recently purchased a split level house / two story. The Old HVAC system was located on the rooftop along with the old fiberglass air ducts. I eliminated the old system from the rooftop needing a darn good roofer since my roof is flat with the white PVC coated stuff on it. Freddy came out gave me a reasonable price. Have always relied on DBR and Fredy to fix various roof issues over the years. So did so again in the middle of the rains this year, regarding a hole in the roof that was leaking water onto the floor and down the walls of our 2-story entry. Fredy was quick to come out and using his drone assessed the situation and quoted the price. He said it would take 1 day and would be scheduled 2-4 weeks out as they were understandably busy. Easily not the lowest bid, but it did include a whole roof review/fix so we accepted. Toward the end of that time period, Juan came out and fixed the leak and sealed various places. And just in time, as it rained a ton the following weekend, but no leaks. Reviewing the roof when the skies cleared, I noticed some of the border tiles were missing nails, I phoned Tara in the office and Fredy and told them my concerns. The next day or 2, Luis and his son came out and quickly fixed the problem, allaying my concerns. We are glad we used DBR and recommend them whole-heartedly. read more

He was timely, respectful and most of all knowledgeable and professional! The roofing guys basically work on the roof, then dust off the mess over the building and let it land all around your house or building. So if you want nails and roofing scraps all over your yard or parking lot, go with these guys. This is what happened to us. The scraps punctured a hole in our car tire. I had hired DBR 5 years ago to handle the reroofing of a portion of my roof and they did a great job -- reasonably priced and good quality. I recently needed another section redone and called DBR to handle. While they were out giving the bid, I noted that our deck needed to be re-waterproofed. The rep stated that DBR could handle that as well. Although the roofing was handled well (I think), the deck was an unmitigated disaster. The roofers never removed the old deck covering (which I told the rep they needed to) and just kept covering it with layers of waterproofing, while getting deck covering splatters all over the rdeck railing, the plants and pots. As a result, they had to come out three different times to repair. Ultimately, it started cracking and peeling 3 weeks later -- I have had to call in a new company to remove the work that DBR did and replace. DBR never should have said they had expertise in an area they did not. $4000 down the toilet. read more
