We decided to go with Dantor and trusted them to do a good job. They advised me through the beginning process -- we decided to go with a draftsman Danny recommended rather than an architect -- to save some money (our call, no pressure from Dantor). Given our professions and history dealing with properties, we felt the addition was not complicated so this would be ok. Danny agreed. The draftsman he recommended came back with drawings that were pretty much exactly what we said we DID NOT want but we really wanted this build done so we decided to get past it and move forward. The pricing was astronomical but we continued moving forward, trying to make it work. That's when things fell apart. The planning dept had so many corrections issues, we lost count. Apparently the draftsman wasn't really that great after all. We trusted Danny would oversee the plans getting up to speed. Once the plans were at the approval stage, it was many, many, many months later. Before paying the city $3500 fee for the final permit, we asked Regina in the office for updated pricing - which she confirmed via email was happening. Given it was the end of the year and Regina had said ten weeks and the holidays... we gave them plenty of time to secure new pricing. However when we checked in asking for the updated pricing, they informed us that the project had taken so long that we will need to pay them a fee in order to get new pricing. HUH? Taken so long? 1. We have been waiting on your draftman to do required correction after correction. 2. We have been waiting on you to provide pricing -- that's what's taking so long! I have sent proof of email exchanges with Danny and Regina but rather than apologizing and doing what they were contracted to do (and said they were doing -- which is what I was waiting for), they are trying to tack on a new fee.... We waited nearly a year for Dantor to provide us with permitted drawings and updated pricing and now they won't provide the pricing without a more money paid to them when this entire experience took longer than anticipated because of your service. This was definitely not a good experience - a waste of time and money. I no longer trust them and would never recommend to anyone nor would I hire them when we do move forward. Way to oversee a project from the start. Probably a telling sign of things to come. Glad we can start fresh.

Desert decocrete made no effrort to check on the work or even offer to ask if I am satisfied with the mediocre work for the garage floor. Fortunately I will not have them refinish the driveway and pool deck. Definitely look elsewhere for a reputable licensed contractor without Scott Weber attitude. We worked with Jesse and Scott to select the window of time, fine tuned the contract to reflect our agreement, paid the deposit, and we were "off to the races"! The crew showed up every day on time and ready work despite the 117 degree weather. They had an amazing attitude all day and we were grateful for the positive energy they brought to this project. Unfortunately, half-way through the project my husband and I had to return to Los Angeles. Jessee was sure we had selected the color samples, and he rolled-out a sample area for final approval. Once we left town, he sent us progress photos each day to be sure we were satisfied with the depth of color. Working with Jesse, his crew, and Scott was an absolute pleasure! Being a "yelper" I had done my research and I had read other reviews that weren't positive. I believe in any transaction, it's important that both parties work together IN ADVANCE of the transaction to be sure there is a clear understanding of the expectations (on both sides). In my case, Scott and I wen't back and forth to clarify the work schedule, the process, the expectations, limitations and such so that there would be no surprises on either end.
