Complete joke establishment. I ordered a part and my payment method had an incomplete address, which is fine, my mistake. I sent them a message to update the address and resend once they received it back. I ordered from another outfit and they were able to do the same. Instead, these guys canceled my order, relisted it on their eBay store and sold it to someone else. So I basically burned a month waiting for a critical component because they couldn't be bothered to update one line of the address and reship it. First time and last time customer experience with this place. You guys have your heads so far up your ass. read more

Could not have been a better experience. Ordered two parts for my 1995 993... heater control box, and connecting tube. Next day, I notice a refund for the connecting tube. I called to ask, and was told that they didn't feel the part was in "usable enough" condition... When was the last time a wrecker gave that kind of service? I'll use them again...no hesitation. Poorest customer service experience. The owner literally referred to people who cancel orders as eBay scum. I was not polite enough in my written request to cancel a duplicate order in under an hour. I placed a parts order on 3/8/13 and my credit card was charged on the same day for the full order amount. On 3/12/13, my order was shipped, but the the packing list explicitly stated that the turbo emblem that I ordered was out of stock and was not included, and that a partial refund was provided, even though it was marked as in-stock at the time. Interestingly, their website, on 3/20/13, states that the same out-of-stock part is available and ships in 48 hours. I see several issues with this fraudulent transaction. Number one, I would never would have ordered the parts if you had accurately stated that the turbo emblem was out of stock. Number two, I would never pay $20 in shipping for the remaining sticker and 2 screw covers that was shipped. Given that shipping charge for the emblem the bulk of the shipping cost, at a minimum, they should refund the already charged amount for the third item, as well as the bulk, if not all, of the shipping cost. Third and most important from a consumer fraud protection standpoint, they knew when they shipped out the remaining items on 3/12/13 that they owed me a refund, yet it is 3/20/13 and they still have not authorized the refund. This is fraudulent and I will contact my credit card company and Better Business Bureau immediately. To make matters worst, I tried to contact them through the "contact us" webpage of their website, and it gave multiple errors when I tried to submit my complaint. Thus, it was impossible to even contact them by email to resolve this problem. Update: the BBB complaint I filed seemed to help; the company admitted fault and agreed to the refund for the unshipped item, but more importantly, a full refund for the shipping cost that I never would have incurred if they had been upfront about whether their products were in stock or not. Even though the number of companies that provide parts for my Porsche 944 turbo is limited, I will look to other mail order companies for my parts needs in the future. read more

I drove from Fletcher North Carolina to get a part for a Porsche we are restoring and I am glad I did. I had made a deal w/ Robert Zampardi via email for my used parts. Prior to shipping I sent pics of parts & packaging for confirmation , which he received, & then was issued shipping BOL & instructions. Once they arrived at DC Auto I was told they were not what we agreed upon ( remember I sent pics to confirm ) & wanted to re-negotiate the price ... After that I couldn`t reach them for several days & got the run-around from employees. I finally got my parts back , very unprofessional , very disappointing. DC seemed like a legit Porsche parts salvage/reseller, but I found out the hard way that they deal in mismatched and unusable parts. Despite their assurance that my engine was in good condition, and stated "buildable core engines" guidelines, mine was a complete waste of money. My machinist was in disbelief. After four months of runaround I'm out thousands of dollars. It looks like some reviewers received parts as promised, but BUYER BEWARE with these guys. read more

i have had experience purchasing from Robert and staff for the past several years and during my initial rebuild of my first 911. Robert himself took the time to help me pick out some parts the very first visit i had to DC. Its only a short drive for me and was able to haul some parts back that day. several years later and sitting at work right now with my first 911 outside the plant that has as many replacement parts from DC as well as any other company. The staff not only offered technical support in helping me find the correct parts but also support in helping me get the car on the road initially. Some tweaks here and there and I am fairly proud of what Robert and his then staff helped me accomplish. read more

I used this company for parts to restore a 87 Porsche. Salesman Rex is the worst, very rude, short replies very difficult to deal with. After a couple months I had enough. Customer service is terrible, not worth the hassle. I was lucky if i got the right parts, many returns. Auto Atlanta a better choice for parts and better prices with no problems. I wouldn't even give them one star. Buyer beware!! read more

Several years ago, I purchased some Maserati spares for one of my clients. The staff was very knowledgeable of the product and inventory, the price was great, the packaging of the items was proper and the shipping was fast. Although is seems DC Auto has shifted its focus to primarily Porsche, I will likely do business with them again. read more

I guess this could be a good source if you live locally. I needed a decklid for a 996. They had one, and I asked what color it was. They said they were not sure what color it was, and they were not going to look. As it costs more to paint then to buy, I guess i will keep looking. read more

This company is a Porsche dismantler. A few months ago I had to replace my flywheel on my 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera 4. They had a great deal on a flywheel at $300 and initially I was very leery on purchasing one at this price considering OEM replacement is over $800. However on their website they indicate that "All parts are tested,cleaned and fully guaranteed to arrive in working order" so I was assured that this part would be a working part. After my flywheel was replaced by an ASE Certified mechanic, I got a check engine light for random misfires. Which my mechanic had told me was most likely the flywheel was bad. So the next day I called DC Auto and they assured me that the flywheel was in good working order and that I probably needed to replace my ignition coils and spark plugs. I replaced them, still had a CEL for random misfire. While driving the car, I could feel the vibration in the flywheel, as the vibration got worse I went to pull over only to have intense vibration which then within seconds caused the crankshaft to snap. DC Auto sold me a defective flywheel which then led to catastrophic engine failure. If you love your Porsche like I do, I would highly recommend NOT buying ANY parts from this company at all. read more

I have finally received my refund after a little over 2 months. If you need a hard to find part for your Porsche they are an OK company to use. There are defiantly better companies out there but not ones that stock this many used Porsche parts and make it this easy to find them on their website. So just hope that the part you order is right the first time because a return or exchange is very difficult to do. Just a few words of advice, they do not take any returns (unless it is a broken part like mine was and it still takes 2 months to get it or a refund), and from my experience all their parts are not tested cleaned or checked before they are shipped. This is my fifth order with them, other orders I got the parts I wanted but they were all dirty; and one 2 years ago in another order was broken, but they sent me a new one pretty quickly. I would say probably over all a good company but customer service is sloppy, and the person Rex I dealt with on this last order is extremely rude and should receive more training. read more
