I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before approving major repairs. I brought my 2021 GMC Yukon AT4 to Davenport GMC with a drivability issue just before my extended warranty expired. After their diagnosis, I was told the transmission needed to be replaced, and that repair was completed. The problem was still there immediately after I got the vehicle back. I was told to drive it for a "learning period," which I did, but nothing changed. After multiple return visits, I was then told the issue is now the engine and that it needs to be replaced. This all happened right after the warranty expired. At this point, the original problem has never been fixed, even after a major repair was done based on their diagnosis. Communication has also been an issue. I was told to contact the warranty company myself, but they confirmed that claims must be handled by the dealership and had no record of proper communication from them. The service manager, Chris, has been my main point of contact, and I've received inconsistent information throughout the process. I also had difficulty getting responses from upper management when trying to escalate. read more

Review for Davenport Auto Park in Rocky Mount, NC I am deeply disappointed with how Davenport Auto Park handled my late husband's vehicle. After his passing, I contacted the dealership on August 9, 12, and 13, 2022, asking for the return of his GMC truck. I was told the vehicle had already been sold. However, sales records indicate the truck did not leave Rocky Mount until September 2022, long after my requests On August 9, 2022. I also have documentation showing that a power of attorney used in the transaction was voided by Cheryl Spruill, the dealership's title worker. Despite my requests, the dealership refused to return the vehicle. Matt Joyner, the sales manager, shifted blame onto the fact that I had legal representation, though I never disclosed my attorney's identity. As a company that promotes Christian values, I expected better integrity and compassion during such a sensitive time. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling disregarded and mistreated. I take my car in for service and get a diagnosis I agree to order parts and make appt to have car serviced after a few days the parts are in and I bring vehicle in the night before the service (Tuesday ) for service the next morning Wednesday that afternoon we had a snow storm and apparently either mechanic's didn't show up or left early ok so I figured they would get to it Thursday or Friday the latest. No call on Wednesday or Thursday .I call Friday just before end of buisness to inquire and was informed that they had not gotten to me yet because of the 2 inches of snow and that all the employees were not scheduled to report to work until and unless conditions were safe . Was then told that first thing Monday vehicle would be worked on , called 3 times Monday afternoon just to get a update no answer 2x's and left a message 3rd time with the assurance someone would return my call. About 20 mins before close of business I decide to go to the dealer the get a answer to my surprise my car was still in the same spot as I left it 6 days prior I proceed to the service advisors desk and ask for my keys and state I do not want the repair , the service tech comes out and says oh yeah I was going to try to get to it tomorrow at this point tomorrow would have been fine but why wouldn't someone atleast have the professional mindset to atleast call me the customer and let me know. the service tech is now looking at the service advisor with a confused look so I say again I do not wish to have my car serviced here because I felt that I was not treated as a valued customer I get my key and proceed to the front of the dealership where I ask a young salesman for the manager after some back and forth he gives me the name of the sales manager ( to which I asked for the general manager not the sales manager) he then decided to offer his help in attempting to help fix my problem so reluctantly I explain the situation and he agrees that the phone call would and should have been made he then states "let me make it better let me show you the new vehicles we just got in " wrong suggestion what would make this young man think that a solution to bad customer service issue would be to try and sell me a 90k car if I can't get your service dept to do there job why would I spend 90k-100k on a new car and definitely why would I buy it there . I'm no car dealership expert but if I'm having a issue with service why spend more money or is the logic that you treat certain customers different after some back and forth with the young salesman i proceed to leave with an understanding that he might be inexperienced or just hungry for his sale quota. I then proceed to the Honda dealers next door to verify the name that the young man gave me and not to my surprise it was not the person or name that was given. I then speak with a person at Honda explain the situation and he also agreed but as a Good employee heard me out and tried to reason with me and not make or take blame. I was then asked to leave my number and name and that the general manager from Davenport would contact me because the issue I had could be a bigger issue or concern I have waited 2 weeks and have not had any contact from anyone at Davenport auto Bottom line for me is that I wouldn't plan to shop there . if I'm spending my money the least you could do is try to make the customer comfortable and not like a Number and or meal ticket I assume that this is what and how car dealers treat their customers now . it's a no for me and I would never spend my money with someone that will not value me as a customer and at the very least value my business. So It will be somewhere else for me so unless your doing a oil change just beware and pray we don't get snow ,rain, heat or whatever will cause a massive delay in your service read more

The sales person "Anthony" was rude and treated us like he was doing us a favor by being at his job that day . He kept telling us about the radio and ignoring our questions about the engine. He did not listen to what we said - asked the same questions over and over - and told us prices for cars that were HIGHER than his own web site quoted . Been on the phone with this dealer for 2 days now. Finally both agreed on numbers, ran our credit, finished financing options, had paperwork and car all ready to go and they gave us the thumbs up to come get the car. We had to drive over 2 hours so we made sure everything was 100% before we left to pick up the car and sign paperwork. While we were on our way, We had received phone calls from 2 different managers and also the finance manager, all ensuring us everything was ready and all we had to do was sign. When we were about 30 minutes away, graham called to let us know that they couldn't sell us the car because they messed up and couldn't sell the car until the 15th because it was in a loaner status until the 15th. Also said he came in an hour and a half early this morning to work on this deal. But never once was this ever explained to us, it was never brought up about being an issue at all. He also said he spoke with the owner and said that he said they couldn't sell the car. Never once did he say they would do anything to make it right, didn't offer another car, NOTHING. JUST SORRY, we will not sell this car to you. I was very upset and expressed that to him. They had assured us over and over again that everything was done and ready to go. I then called the finance manager, Sam. He gave me a total different story and said that Graham had accidentally gave us the same factory incentive twice and that it didn't make business sense for them to sell us the car. my recent experience with servicing and so called customer service-I purchased a 2015 honda accord last year and have taken back to dealer for oil changes and tire rotation.Well only 26,000 miles later im told my tires are worn out too badly to pass inpection. So I called the service manager and the salesman about this issue because I peresonally felt like it was on the dealer to take responsibility and replace my tires at no cost to me especially when i realized the last time the car was in for servicing and I paid for tire rotation the tires was never rotated and I know this because of a mark on tire before I drop off.Now the question is DID MY TIRES WEAR OUT BECAUSE THE TIRES WERE NEVER ROTATED, ARE THEY REALLY CHANGING THE OIL FOR FREE LIKE THEY SAY?I just have NO FAITH in the dealership anymore as to what they say theyre gonna do.This issue was brought to there attention and it was over 4 weeks before I got a response from anyone other than I call you back read more
