After calling the company that installed my gas fireplace that wasn't working, waiting 2 weeks for them to come and service it only to be told they don't service gas fireplaces even though they sell them, and suggesting I call Crow's did I get the fireplace fixed. Not only did he come to my home days after I called, he found the issue plus other issues with the way it was installed and fixed those as well. Then he ardently put the fireplace back together placing each log and checking to see how how the flames looked. Mind you, he took two hours on a FRIDAY NIGHT to get this all done. So impressed! I can't say enough good things about Mike and his service. We had a chimney fire on a Saturday…read moremorning in a stove pipe from a wood stove: our source of heat on a 20 degree day. The firefighters removed the stove pipe from the wood stove to the ceiling 18 feet above and from the roof up to the chimney cap: they wanted to be sure that there was no fire anywhere. After the "all clear", we made four calls to find someone to put us back together: we needed heat. Two did not provide a return call. One could put us on a list. Mike called back within 30 minutes and was at our place within 90 minutes. Not really knowing the conditions of our place, he offered and brought special cleaning supplies for the fine dust of the ash and fire extinguisher. He assessed the situation and got to work. Not only was he professional and efficient, he was empathetic, personal and funny. We cleaned. He reassembled; was very thorough about being sure things went back together to ensure safety; taught us things about fire building and maintenance; and ensured that we had heat from the wood stove by 5pm. We were told it was "not on the clip board" and to make another appointment, which we did. The second time it was another no call, no show. Was told that they must have lost it again and that they would call us back in a half hour to reschedule. Never got the call back, and we had made arrangements to take the time off to be here for this appointment. Very disappointed!

We ended up going with All American bc the receptionist was so on top of things, worked so quickly to get her spouse out her to prevent further leaks (we had a tarp tied up on the chimney and caulk sealing the flashing), and the other bids came in much higher and All American gave us,a few options and even told us,a way we could easily save money for a few years, which we,would never have known about-,being a woman dealing with this I felt like I easily could have been taken advantage of and it was completely the opposite. They were never late, extremity respectful, cleaned up all the mess and even offered to help me clean up the rope, tarp and,all of my mess we had rigged up there to keep water out. I received a call back within the hour, Earl said he could come to my home (30 miles away - the same day) and clean the chimney (in an hour), quoted me a fair price and I agreed to the service. Earl came to my home, respectfully went to work and cleaned 6ft of soot and debris from the chimney, provided videos (pics too), a receipt via text and advised on next steps with my water heater and chimney maintenance. To top it off, I was charged $150 less than the original quote. That's honesty, that's professionalism (pretty rare qualities these days) and I am eternally grateful.
