Let me be absolutely clear: this entire experience was beyond unacceptable. The store was a complete disaster -- filthy, disgusting, and downright embarrassing. It was so dirty that I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if there were rodents. I could barely stomach being inside long enough to grab two pots and pans, and that was only because I planned to go home and scrub them myself. Then, as I'm standing in line with ONLY two items, right before it's my turn, the cashier Maria suddenly decides she's "going on break." She had ONE person left -- me -- and she still walked off. The lack of basic courtesy or customer service was unreal. But what truly pushed me over the edge was what happened next. I called the establishment to speak with a manager, just to express how unacceptable the service was -- and the manager on duty hung up on me. Rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. I was absolutely baffled. I have never in my life experienced such a disgusting lack of customer service. And frankly, based on how I was treated, it felt racially motivated. The level of disregard and disrespect was unbelievable. This entire situation is beyond unacceptable, especially in 2025. This needs to be addressed immediately, because if it isn't, I will not hesitate to record a full breakdown of my experience and publish it on TikTok. Cheap fashion, budget friendly! You'll find things cheaper here compared to a Marshall's or Ross clothing store. They have a bit of everything. Dress shirts, socks, pajamas, shoes, purses, hair & beauty products, as well as a small snack section. A lot of the food is from larger stores that are close to expiration. If you need to get someone a gift or are needing some car seats, pants, candles, it's here. They have a security guard inside patrolling as theft happens regularly here. Also it's very crowded here. Make sure to check the safety labels and packaging are still intact before buying. As some people open things, take a bite of sniff then walk away without buying. Disgusting store. The dollar tree is better organized. I come here often to buy inexpensive clothes for my grandma. The gentleman that greets you at the front is beyond rude. They also don't allow you to check to make sure that items aren't missing from your purchase while in the store and then they also don't allow you to return an item if anything is missing from the package. Total scam, I attached photos like 60% of their items are already opened, missing an item, used or clothes are missing buttons and have stains. Well, what can I say, it's your typical DD's discount store. There's random stuff at reasonable prices. I was just hoping that since the store was still fairly new, that it wouldn't be too picked over. Wrong! I went during lunchtime last Thursday. Store wasn't too busy, but the shelves were bare bones. Lots of empty shelves. It was discouraging looking through the clothes as they were just all over the place. Hopefully I can catch the store after they've restocked and have more of a selection. Just left @08:00pm dds purchased a hand Bag It was a slow day 2 registers open . I would prefer for the cashier to move a bit faster since there was not a lot of guest waiting (I waited like 15 min to be charged 4 guest were infront of me ) Service was okay ... it could've been better if the cashier would stop flirting. Ahh, now I remember why I avoid DD's haha. Super messy throughout the entire store, long checkout lines and cheap quality products depending on what you purchase. I got lucky on this trip and found a good dog harness/leash combo and a candle. Lots of the staff walk around looking miserable and I don't blame them. Lazy workers, while standing in line was asked to remove hangers to help speed check out process and then they call next customer to the counter while your swiping your card and putting in your pin number. Hopefully when I call corporate Monday they'll do something about it . That is unprofessional. I agree with many of the comments here, this store has pure lazy workers. For example, the cashier asked me put the cart and hangers back-as if they don't get paid for their job. And the guy in the front who greets people didn't open the door for my daughter who is in a wheelchair, he just stood there standing as my daughter and I struggled with the door. Ive never been to DD's before and decided to give it a try. Especially since it was the grand opening in Panorama City. The first visit, every cashier was literally in a bad mood. Did not greet anyone who'd pay, did not hear a thank you, and received a serious angry face rather than a happy face like other stores I've been to. The second visit, I went to return something that did not fit. I stood in the return line and waited about 20 minutes waiting to be called. (I am a very patient person). Finally, a cashier asks me if I'm returning and I said yes. (keep in mind, she saw me right when I got there). She makes me walk to her and then says, "Sorry our system is down, you can't return." It was ridiculous how long I waited for her to see me right when I got there and have me wait 20 minutes to tell me I can't return my item. I WAS FURIOUS! I left without saying anything because I just wanted to get out of there. Finally, today (02/23) at 1:48pm, I went again (worst mistake ever) to return my item. Right away, the security wanted to take away my bag, if i was some sort of criminal. I tell him I'm going to return and he finally lets me go. I go to the return line and wait, a cashier with the worse attitude asks me "Are you returning" and I said yes. She takes a deep breath looking really annoyed and says, "I'll take you." Finally I'm returning and she did not even greet me or smile at me. Just a serious face, she finally says something and says that my item does not have the tag on. She did not bother looking at the bottom and just accused me of not having the price tag on my item. I did not want to argue and just stayed quiet. She calls the manager and the manager tells her to just put the number down from the receipt. As she is whining about the tag not being there I get the item and tell her, "It is right here." She laughs and finally returns it. At this point I was already annoyed that I was being accused of taking the tag off that I did not bother laughing with her. She returns it and gives me store credit. She does not bother saying thank you or have a great day. She just gives it to me and says "NEXT." After all of this I just wanted to get something with my store credit, so it does not go to waste and leave this horrible store. I got my item and got in line. While I was waiting, there was another customer who was complaining that he was receiving the worse customer service. He said to never shop there again, and I agreed with him. I was not the only one who received that horrible service. Finally I got called next and this time I got a new cashier. Very very rude. She called me into her line when she was still helping a customer and she gave this customer the worse attitude so I was ready to receive the same. No surprise, I did. She did not say "Hi" she did not bother saying anything. She charged me, and put my item on the side and told me how much I owed. I gave her the money, she snatched it out of my hand and laughed. I don't know what was so funny. As someone who studies a humans behavior, I did not see as to why I should start a problem with her after her snatching the bill from my hand. I waited to give her my change and she just threw it in my hands and she did not bother saying thank you. She just said "Next" like the other cashier who helped me before. I want to make sure that DD's knows that I will not shop here AGAIN! I will let everyone know that the service here is horrible and to not shop in this store again. This store has not been open more than a month and the service we all receive from here is horrible. It is not just one person or one time, it is everyone and every time.
