Totally a rip off doctor ! Would NEVER recommend him . The rip-off financially was witnessed and agreed by two other dentists who have very high ratings. I paid over $ 37, 000 for implants and another $3,000 for top dentures when top implant did not work. Bottom implant fell apart after one year. Went to see another dentist who replaced bottom implant and made great top denture, all for the cost of $9, 000. read more

After researching a dentist that could handle my extensive dental challenge I happened upon Dr. Howard Popper and he helped me out. I had a bad tooth and need some emergency help and after seeing all of the advertisements for the Popper Group I called. I called the emergency number and it was answered by Dr. Popper himself. From the time he saw me that next day to when I walked out with a full mouth treatment 2 weeks later (treatment needed due to many, many years of neglect) the entire experience from beginning to end proved to be truly extraordinary. The entire staff is very professional, very friendly and never once made me uncomfortable. I had full understanding of everything that was being done and every question answered. A heartfelt thanks to you Dr. Howard, Dr. Jason and Dr. Marlisa, and all the staff at your office for allowing me to smile again. read more

I went yesterday to have the 5 teeth I had left on top pulled & implants put in. I went in very nervous but before I knew it, they were waking me up & it was over. I went home with minimal bleeding, swelling and pain. It was much easier than anticipated. I went back today and they put in my teeth already. There was some adjusting done but I feel like I do new some more. I did feel a bit rushed out, but I'm going back in a week to give myself time to get used to them. So, so far so good! Regarding the staff, they're ok but very dry. All business with them. My favorite, besides Dr Popper was the anesthesiologist. This is a costly procedure and I hope it will prove to be worth it. I'm still a bit sore & have stitches but I am considering doing the bottom teeth as well. However, need to heal before that is undertaken. I'll keep you posted read more

Went in for consutation with dr. howard popper. The man spoke so fast,it was like he just wanted to get out of there. Very rude, no manners,no personality.Very cut and dry. I was very insulted when I left. Wouldn't refer him to anyone. read more

I was there for a consultation, and had xrays taken for which I was charged $100.00. I immediately got a "bad feeling" from Dr. Popper...he was trying to push me to have a CAT scan done, to the tune of $350.00 - which I did not think was necessary. I was told that since there was bone loss under the tooth in question, they would need to extract the tooth behind it and then do 2 implants. That's when I started to get a bad feeling...who takes out a perfectly healthy tooth?? Someone looking to charge for unnecessary work. I asked for a copy of my xray, as is my right as a patient, and was emailed an illegible photograph of my xray. I went to another oral surgeon who needed to take all new xrays, since the nonsense I was sent was useless. They are clearly only concerned with fees. read more

I had many implants done by Dr . Popper many years ago and they hurt then and they hurt now. I have had to learn to live with the pain because no matter how many times I told dr. Popper I was in constant pain he told me I was fine and just walked to his next patient. read more

I'm so surprised to see negative reviews here! I have nothing but appreciation and the highest praise for all of the Dr. Poppers, their fine staff and my experiences at their office. Dr. Howard Popper spent a lot of time with me explaining his recommended procedure . They were able to complete the procedure quickly and with a minimal amount of discomfort. When I called with a question about post surgery care after hours, Dr. Jason Popper returned my call within minutes and explained what I should do. He called me the next day , Sunday , to see how I was doing. I have and will continue to recommend the Poppers to anyone needing the care they so professionally provide!!!! read more

My experience with Dr. Popper and his Office has been excellent from the start and continues every time I go there. I had a complete upper 6 implant procedure done. As promised it took 2 days, there was little if any discomfort and I am absolutely pleased and delighted with the work, the process and the people. I continue to have check ups and minore adjustments as needed and I might add at no cost. Excellent Doctors, excellent staff and excellent work. I would strongly recommend these Dentists. read more

Stay away from this guy. To convince me how good he was he took me into one of his patients who was in the office waiting for him. The patient was complaining bitterly over the implants and services. That was a referral? Then he pushed me into getting a $300 set of x rays saying he could not quote a price until he saw the x rays.. The lab, I believe is working with him and probably offering kickbacks because when I came back to get a price quote, he did not even look at the x rays and quoted me a price way out of my reach even though I told him I was financially strapped before we began. He swore at our first visit that he had "great latitude in pricing" and would find a suitable price for me no matter what. Know what? I am out $300 I warn you, he takes out huge ads in papers, more than any other professional dentist. Be forewarned. read more

I was very apprehensive about getting my teeth worked on. Dr Popper and his team consisting of his son and daughter were very professional and thorough. I had a whole mouth implant procedure performed two years ago which worked out perfectly. My new teeth look and feel beautiful. I would highly recommend them for this procedure. I had my lower teeth replaced with implants by Dr. Popper and his team. There was very little discomfort throughout the procedure an during the healing process. My upper teeth were also in poor condition and my regular dentist wanted to do 2 root canals, 3 crowns, 2 extractions and a bridge. The cost for implants was not much more and I was so thrilled with the lower implants from Dr. Popper, I had him to the uppers too and I am extremely glad I did. I would absolutely recommend Dr. to anyone needing implants. read more

I went to his office about 5-6 years ago to get a price for 2 implants for my daughters teeth.He gave me a price that we agreed on.The work was done and my daughter's teeth looked very nice.We were both pleased. As we were leaving I was advised that we needed to make another appointment in 6 months. When I asked what for he said that the teeth were made of plastic and needed to be replaced. He also said it would cost another I think the price was about 1,000 to 1,500 thousand dollars more. I never went back. I am now at another dentist and he told me that one of the posts needs to changed. read more

After spending much time on the phone with my insurance company to find the Dentist i needed in my area or close. Dr Brar was the closest , (but not that close). My insurance company assured me I was fully covered for the whole procedure. When i showed up for my appointment they tried to tell me i was only covered for the extraction but not the bone graft or the implant, they wanted me to pay for them out of pocket which is costly. I advised them my insurance company set me up with them and said i am fully covered for all of it. I was uncomfortable with the look Dr Brar gave his assistant, they went ahead to start the extraction. I had a cracked molar that had to be pulled, sadly i suffer bone. loss so my teeth are not that stable already. I had two wisdom teeth that were tight in my gums that came out without a problem, didn't even realize it was pulled. Not this time, he had great difficulty pulling it out, literally felt like he was using a jack hammer breaking up my tooth, when it finally was over he did not put the bone graft in while my gum was open like the other dentist did with my wisdom tooth, instead he said he had to get approval should take about 5 days, 2 weeks go by they said they still didn't receive it. Now i have to spend more time calling my insurance company to see what the hold up is, turned out they did approve it. So i call back to let them know and his secretary tells me well, we're accepting your insurance for the extraction but not the bone graft or implant. Now i have to find another peridontist to finish the job. So shame on him, feel bad for any patient who actually believed them and paid out of pocket . I reported him, hopefully he gets dropped from our plan.. be aware of what your benefits cover, sorry Dr Brar that you couldn't scam this girl for more mone

I said why would I have you take x-rays if your not going to treat me? - He said, "Alright, well then", pushed his rolling chair and left the exam room. I didn't even see what he looked like. Although I know it was not the receptionists fault, when I said I cannot believe that the Dr. won't treat me, she said again your appointment was only for a consultation, and everyone in here is in pain. I went home in tears, in pain, made a few calls and found an endodontist that would treat me same day - He said that all root-canals are emergencies and should be treated at the time of the visit. That is why they are specialists, to fix what the dentist cannot do especially when they are in extreme pain. I very rarely write a review, but I also never experienced pain like this before, and wanted to let anyone know who is making a new appointment with this Dr. to make sure you specify you need immediate treatment if you are suffering from oral pain.

I give a big Thumbs up!!! for Dr. Howard Popper. I feel Truly blessed to have met him. After an extensive search for the right dentist Dr. Popper guided and advised me. Where as other Dentists, said his procedure would not be recommended for me. You see my biggest fear was having my front teeth removed, and having to wear a removable denture, till my implants healed. This is what all the other periodontists advised me to do, except for Dr. Popper. Dr. Popper was the only Dr. that believed I was a good candidate for "Immediate Load". This is when temporary teeth are screwed into the implants while implants are healing. I was uncertain, very scared, and frankly didn't know who to believe. After many consults with Dr. Popper, I'm so glad I believed in him to do the work! He was patient with me answered all my questions over and over again. He was honest and consoled me and made me feel he was the right Dr. to do the job. Well, after having completed the implant surgery on my front teeth, I am very happy with the results!! About 12 years ago Dr. Howard Popper placed two beautiful implants for me that changed my smile for ever! Even after 12 yrs it looks absolutely great! No one cen even tell the deference between my natural teeth and my implants. A few years after he placed my implants I moved out of the state 1000 miles away and where I live there's enough periodontists that I can go but I Believe no one would do the job of Dr. Popper for me so I went back again couple years a go and he placed my third implant it's great that his Children works with him now and I got all the procedures done all under one roof His awesome son Dr. Jason Popper and him placed my implant and the abutments and his beautiful daughter Dr. Marrisa Popper put the crown over it I'm very happy and pleased with their job! I love the way they were taking the time and listened to my concerns and the way they were treating me with kindness, love and respects. After visiting many dentists who all wanted to replace my missing teeth with a removable appliance, I went to see Dr. Popper and his team. Upon making the appointment, I was told that the consultation was complimentary, but the Xray will cost $100.00. Dr. Popper spent a considerable amount of time with me clearly explaining how my teeth could be permanently replaced with implants. I scheduled the surgery which is performed under anesthesia. Everything was included in the price quoted, except a 3D Xray which is additional and not performed by Dr. Popper. The surgery went well, and two days later I had temporary teeth placed on my new implants. I am very happy with the entire process and am looking forward to getting the permanent teeth after the implants have had time to fuse with the bone. Thank you to Dr. Popper and his entire team. I can finally smile again and feel good about the way I look. read more

The fact you can walk in and have teeth removed, not bleed and have your implants all in one visit was amazing. There really are no other words. I had been neglecting my teeth for many years. My appearance was nasty. I finally decided to do something about it and got a strong recommendation to contact the Popper dental team. After visiting the Poppers, I decided to go ahead with dental implant surgery. I now can smile again without embarrassment. As a result of the implants, my confidence level has gone up dramatically. Dr. Popper treated me with respect, timely service and my pain was minor. I was a practicing periodontist for 35 years, I was also a professor of periodontology at a leading university where i was the director of the predoctoral program. I have lectured internationally on Periodontics, Occlusion and Implantology. When I found myself in need of implants, my search for an outstanding clinician led me to Dr. Howard Popper. Treatment by Dr. Popper required a 12 hour round trip. Well worth it. The care I received was more than excellent. There was no pain, none , and no complications. Dr. Popper is one of the nicest most professional doctors I have come across. Normally I would do what most people do when it comes time to write a review" That is, just write a bad one when I was treated poorly. My experience was the opposite. The Popper dental team are the most experienced implant team available. When you are putting your mouth in the hands of professionals you want the catalliac not the Volkswagen. You want something that will last a lifetime! They did two implants for me that are absolutely beautiful. Their bedside manor was very concerning when I was very upset in loosing my teeth.
