This was the first time I ordered Sangria and the Winery Sampler Charcuterie plate. The Winery Sampler and the Blueberry Sangria were so perfect and delicious. I was taking an awesome Creative Resin-nations craft class and was able to bring my food and drink in to the back room while I worked. There was a list of all the fun events coming up at the bar like lots of different Bingo and craft classes. I can't wait to come back for the Wine-O Bingo night. I also saw that they have Winery and Tasting Tour. Aspirations Winery is such a fun place to check out for a girls night out or date night!

The tasting included our choice of 3 wines each and a cheese and cracker app each, plus a tour of their facility. The samplings are full glasses and the wine is so good! My fav was the Poolside red. I loved that it's sweet red but not overly sweet. So smooth and free of preservatives so I didn't get the wine headache. Ended up going home with 7 bottles. Great place and we will be back and I'll definitely be restocking.

I also tried a flight of Georgian wines (the country, not the state) and bought the dryest red one with a pretty label. I learned that the soil there is very volcanic, which gives the wine its unique taste. It should be a great conversation piece and a super sip. Looks like I'll be throwing a dinner party. Wonder if this pairs well with pizza? This location is just off Main Street, a block or two up Broadway, in a shopping plaza. There's a smallish private lot... but it's also an easy walk from any of the city lots in the downtown area. The prices are fair, there's lots of seating and the air conditioning is great. Preston was so fantastic, immediately welcoming me, offering a beverage, and asking if I wanted some food. My absolute favorite thing about Drift is that they serve Caymus by the glass! I ordered a glass right away, followed by the mushroom flatbread (to which I added pepperoni--delicious!). I was able to enjoy my wine and a fresh slice of flatbread, and took the rest home, all before they closed. I was so thankful and impressed with the wonderful customer service and for accommodating me as their very last customer. We questioned whether or not the place was going out of business. Our sever was friendly and stuck to the script when we asked a couple different times if this was normal.... Food tasted extremely mediocre for the price. Not the same menu they used to have - either in what is offered or in the physical menu itself. Just a printed off piece of paper - again, I was stunned. Ambiance was absolutely zero - Lady Gaga blasted from the patio music, with the once beloved striped canvas totally missing from the patio atmosphere. The seats and tables were even falling apart. I understand there was a pandemic and hurricane Helene prior to our visit, but wow is it sad to see this place gone so downhill - and charging you top dollar for it.

Next was a nice side salad that was included with the entrée. My main dish was their deservedly famous fried chicken. It was a half chicken in 4 pieces with a thin and delicious crust and not greasy. This is the fried chicken that every other restaurant should aspire to. It came with very good (not over-cooked) green beans and perfect mashed potatoes and gravy. Bobby's (and Heilman's) are classics. They might not be modern and flashy and the patrons skew old, but these restaurants know how to do everything right.
