Ok.... This place is very much a tourist spot. Not saying the food isn't "great" but it was nothing to shout at. 1. Lobster roll was good but really missed the crunch in the mix. It did require a lot of salt. 2. The Escobar sandy was ok- nothing to sour at. 3. Bar drinks- they were ok, but not anything to be excited about. 4. Service was ok, but we had to constantly ask for ice or napkins etc. so it felt like we were needy but it was basic asked need. 5. Also a HUGE thing is that this place has only wine based cocktails even though it claims silver tequila for their drinks on the menu. There is literally nothing tequila or spirit based about the drinks. Didn't even see anything on the menu about it being wine based. Our server was forthcoming about it which I really appreciated. So even with an extra shot of this wine based liquor my drink didn't taste like there was any alcohol in it all. They had women's softball on and I requested another game but apparently they only have Hulu there so the are super limited Sounds like this place is on life support or sponsored by Temu with lotta local craft beers on tap and apparently all wine based "cocktail" drinks at spirit prices. This was a great place to stop after day at the beach. A stone throw away from the parking lot and right on the beach....well across the street anyway! Service was prompt and server was very friendly. They have canned soft drinks and bottled water so no refills here!! The atmosphere was enjoyable with good background music but the chairs have a very narrow seat made for someone less than 100lbs!! Really those are the most comfortable seats available? I really enjoyed my visit to bad things on a Wednesday evening. They only have outdoor seating right across from the beach. When we dined there was a guy doing live cover songs and he was a total vibe! I was there with a large group from work so we were able to commandeer our own little section. Conner took care of our entire group of about 14 people and he did not miss a beat. I really enjoyed the street corn ribs equally tasty and creative. I had the crab and shrimp creamy enchilada and boy was it creamy. Almost to the point where I couldn't really enjoy all the flavors. The nacho trio was ordered as an appetizer and the queso guac and salsa were all quite good. I enjoyed my turquoise turtle cocktail. I'm not sure if that's the right name but it was yummy. Fun little spot right by the beach. Limited seating so you might have to wait a bit. I ordered the oyster po boy and a very extravagant pina colada. Oyster Po Boy: This was just ok. Wish I had ordered something else. Extremely salty and basically had no remoulade sauce. Fries and coleslaw were great though! "Bad Ass Pineapple" Pina Colada: This was fun. If you can get their during sunset it'll be really beautiful. It's outside seating only and they sometimes have live music which is incredibly loud so you will not be abke to hold a conversation. Overall this place is kind of gimicky and makes for a good Instagram picture, but the food and drinks were mediocre for the price. Our waitress was really good and always made sure to check on us. I got the fried chicken sandwich and it tasted like it was fried in very old oil. I thought it had pickles on top, but it tasted like slices of squash. My husband got the lobster mac which was super cute to take a picture with, but just ok I'm terms of taste. We also got the drinks in the pineapple which were nice to look at but so heavily full of cream it was a bit too much for me. We came for dinner last night with a group of six, though only five of us ate. With drinks and appetizers, the bill came to $315 before tip, which felt a bit high for the overall experience. The view is good for sunset and the live music made up for some of the rest. The tacos were tasty but on the smaller side for the price. For appetizers, the corn rib was surprisingly good and ended up being the least expensive item we ordered. We also tried the pork belly special, which was solid, along with the grouper nuggets, which were very good. We ordered the trio as well--the beer queso was a hit with the table, but the guac was just okay and had a slightly off taste. Drinks overall tasted good, but service was an issue. Our waitress was very slow, and our food arrived before our drinks, which wasn't ideal. Another downside was that they don't offer tap or filtered water--only bottled water. They advertise great cocktails but don't tell you upfront that they don't serve liquor, just beer and wine, so the Pina Colada was "wine based," whatever that means. 5 out of 5 I recently had an outstanding dinner at Bad Fins Food & Brew in Clearwater Beach, and it deserves every bit of a five‑star rating. Torn between two tempting options, I went with my server's recommendation--the seafood chimi--and it was absolutely the right call. The chimi was delicious and generously packed with shrimp and hearty chunks of fish. The accompanying guacamole had a distinctive smoky note that set it apart. It may be the best guacamole I've ever had. My drink, the Big Bad Piña Colada (non‑alcoholic), arrived in a pineapple and was as fun as it was flavorful. Sipping it while watching the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico made the evening feel almost cinematic. Service was attentive and friendly, and the live band added to the atmosphere. The lead singer was having such a great time performing White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane that she sang it twice in a row, and the crowd loved it. The location could only be better if it were on the 2nd/3rd floor. The seating, live music, we were so excited to eat beach side. The Trifecta Appetizer real good, could have used more chips for the amount of dip. Had our waitress came by after she dropped it off within 20 minutes we would have asked. The Turquoise Turtle Drink was amazing, wanted to order another, but we couldn't get anyone to stop for us. The hostess walked by and we asked for some help and she said, "1 moment, I will be right back" ... never came back. My soon to be DIL ordered the Birria Tacos-- Lawdy, I don't guess it's a smart idea when you are from Texas and Mexican and eat those tacos on the regular to order them in Clearwater. Even I, who am not a connoisseur of Birria Tacos looked at her plate and was upset for her. Ok, so beach side eats can be a hit and miss. We ordered our food and it came out over 30 minutes later. We had no one stop by and ask if we needed anything. When I go my food, it was cold. Not Luke warm, cold to the touch. When the waitress that we hadn't seen since ordering our food came by, I told her and said do t worry about getting me another one. She insisted, then brought me a plate in less than 10 minutes. Wrong tortillas, steak on the taco was diced up, the lobster was diced small. The young lady with me at least had full actual bite size pieces of lobster. We walked past this spot the night before and saw it was packed with great energy, so we decided to come back the next day for lunch--and we're so glad we did! We had a party of 8, and our waitress, Madi, did a fantastic job taking care of us. The food does take a little while, but that's because everything is made fresh--and trust me, it's worth the wait. I highly recommend the burger--it comes on soft, fresh bread (not a typical roll), and it was delicious. The rib corn, filet taco, and any of the bowls are also top-notch. The rice was undercooked, the tuna was sparse and untreated, aoli tasted like an after thought, and so forth. For the price they could've at least sprinkled some salt on it. The Ahi Poke Bowl was also ordered, it was cooked on a Spanish rice and not a white rice, which was odd as the meal includes fish. There was too much pineapple and pickled onions, it was overwhelming, the pickled onions were not stated on the menu or that they would be included in the bowl. Ordered chip, salsa, and guacamole under the "appetizer" tab, the guacamole was the pungent and the avocado tasted old, it did not come out until our food came. Everything was actually really well flavored and well plated. Ambiance doesn't get better on the beach. Restaurant was clean and modern. Service was great as well. After deciding we wanted steak and lobster and going back and forth on steak houses we were worried we were going to spend stupid money at and be disappointed we decided to stick with our original plan and go to badfins and share the carne asada and lobster Mac and cheese. OMG, both were incredible! The steak was absolutely steakhouse quality (and the rice and beans were really excellent also) and the Mac n cheese was out of this world! Upon arriving I realized they only had outdoor seating, which is totally fine, but when it's over 90 outside and the sun is slamming against you while sitting to eat, it makes it pretty uncomfortable. Insane that in this setting they don't provide cold water, you can only buy bottled water. Anyway we ordered beers, which were great and from local breweries, but neither menu (online or the screen) had prices listed. For dinner I had hot honey shrimp tacos and my partner had mahi mahi tacos. They were alright, but the amount of salsa they give you is absurd. Maybe 1.5 tbsp. Really? Overall this place was disappointing. If you look closely at their Google reviews you can tell they are fake. I went back and combed through after my experience to see if I just went on an off night. We read that this place offered the best seafood dishes in Clearwater so we had to try it! We went around 7:45pm Sunday night with no reservation and was told a 45-60 minute wait. We left to find a bar to grab a drink while we waited, but our table was ready before we even sat down (20-25 min)! They have an extensive beer menu, we were able to try a few. There were different beers listed on the sign than on their website which was a little confusing. We got the bottomless chips and salsa to munch on with our beers which opened our appetite even more so we shared the seafood chimi (per our waiters rec).
