Service can be slow, don't go if you're in a rush. this is the kind of place you stop in and chill for a while. I look forward to taking coffee meetings here in the future. They have a great library/sitting room that can be nice to work or chat with a friend in.

I love this little place! It's great before or after the Green Light flicks. We had some delicious mocktail and cocktails at the Scott and we even got complementary nuts! Such a nice place, inspired drinks and great bartender.

Perfect espresso martinis (fresh espresso because it's a coffee bar during the day)!! They also have a good variety of spritzes, and pricing is super reasonable for downtown!! Such a cute vibe inside, plenty of places to sit inside & out on the patio as well. Will definitely be back.

I think I'm in love, and nothing makes me happier than finding a good coffee spot! (truth). Also, I've considered asking the batista there to be my new best friend. Yeah, the coffee is just that good. It's not your average coffee, its got a nice creamy flavor, which beautiful bubbly subtle froth, silky smooth coffee flavor in every sip and last but not least, a subtle hint and finishing touch of orgeat and rose, with beautiful petals delicately placed on top (mine was an oatmilk orgeat rose latte). This is not just a coffee. It's a labor of love. My friend ordered a chai latte (her favorite thing), and her being the Chai latte queen gave her seal of approval! The service is fantastic. The batista is not only lovely, friendly, and attentive but you can tell she's knowledgeable and confident in her suggestions. The decor is very classy and elegant, the library section could be my office and id never leave (I'm sure the staff wouldn't appreciate that heh). The couches and there are quite a few, very comfy. Great spot to sit, sip, chat and relax!

Espresso martini/Coffee Pot Martini

We love a solid espresso martini and wow this was it! I think we had one for breakfast, one as a snack and one right before bed. Haha it was that good. Also, this spot is really cute, located in a boutique hotel. You can sit inside in the lobby or outside on the porch. Very nice spot for a quick drink.

Wonderfully chill but elegant cafe inside of the Cordova Inn downtown. I spent a couple hours working on my computer there on a Monday morning. Very quiet atmosphere with the occasional person being checked with the concierge. I enjoyed a latte and also a Gouda sandwich. The latte was quality. The sandwich was very simple. Came with some fruit on the side. Would've liked a back on my stool while sitting at the window but still enjoyed myself while working.

Super cute coffee/tea/pastry shop in DTSP at The Cordova Inn. It becomes a cocktail bar at night. They have a nice shaded porch to sit on that includes rocking chairs, tables & chairs. The menu is limited and from a local baker and not baked onsite, but our items were very fresh. We split a vanilla cream cruffin which was tasty, not a traditional cruffin. It was the same puff pastry as the quiche and ham/cheese pocket. The quiche is custardy and vegetarian. A cute place that is worth a visit. Enjoy!

This is one of the only other places I've been gate keeping for a little while. The Scott is one of my favorite hotel bars in st Pete. It's a small bar that only seats like 15-20 people inside the Cordova inn and I haven't been since they started renovations so some photos may be out of date. But I absolutely love the vibes in here of a boutique hotel bar with an interesting menu. They deck it out for Xmas as a winter wonder land. Favorite drink by far is The Scott which is a take on an old fashion. The Cynar sour is interesting and showcases Cynar which is an artichoke aperitif. Also making a killer Negroni and bees knees. Really love this place and 5/5 would recommend to a friends! Can't wait to see if when the remodel is done!

Loved this quaint cozy bar tucked away from the hustle and bustle of busy streets. Stepping into the "parlor" of the Cordova and being greeted by the bartender was awesome! Asking if he had a particular type of alcohol and him knowing what we were asking for was perfect! He mixed up a fantastic drink and knew what he was doing which can sometimes be hard to find. This place was superb with the history, atmosphere and service! Thanks to Eli for being a great host!

Read about this place opening and in a historic hotel so had to stop in. Ordered the Scott and Deb had the expresso martini. Both were really nice! Great chill spot to have a cocktail and unwind Bartenders were awesome and drinks were awesome! Stop in and have a conversation and a great cocktail. Shoutout to Ebony our bartender tonight. Amazing drinks and really nice conversation

Ask the Community - The Scott

So do locals stop in here and stay for a while? Can you get work done if you like?

Yes, I am a local and spoke with the bartender. Locals come here to hang out too. I think it would be a great place to get some work done, but I have not done that yet. I just enjoy the space.

We finally checked out Red Thread and it was delicious!…read more Great ambiance (both indoors and their outdoor courtyard, can't go wrong with either option) that fits the "silk road" vibe, with awesome food and friendly service. We started with the dip trio (beet hummus, olive tapenade, and babaganoush with fluffy pita triangles), which was fantastic. Each dip had an awesome flavor, especially the beet hummus. We also got the tahini, date, and cashew salad and loved it. My husband isn't a salad guy and said he'd only have a bite, but then he ate half. The rich and spicy tahini mixed with the sweet date, creamy cashew, and fresh/crisp salad was such a great flavor combo. I will note, they go heavy with the tahini on the salad, but we weren't complaining. I got the zataar salmon for my main. A deliciously spiced zataar crust on top of a delicately flaky salmon made for a wonderful meal. My husband got the kafta en croute, which were ground lamb/beef meatballs surrounded by a flaky pastry and topped with pomegranate over a tahini sauce. I kept stealing bites (which was fine, there was plenty to share) it was so good and such a unique entrée! For drinks, they have uniquely spiced cocktails and mocktails. The drinks took longer to arrive than the food, but they were worth the wait. We were too stuffed for dessert, but next time we want to try their tiramisu (made with Turkish coffee and cardamom). We had a wonderful meal and will be back! The sad thing was that half the restaurant was empty. We think it's a unique addition to DTSP and is definitely worth checking out.

The concepts are similar, but not quite the same. Bar Mezzo is more cocktail forward, although it houses some of the same cocktails featured at intermezzo, including espresso based cocktails. It has one of the few espresso martinis in town that feature fresh brewed espresso. One of the best things about this bar is that it focuses on the art of cocktail making and features the bartenders as artisans. Every employee is the epitome of top of the line hospitality. Each cocktail on the menu is unique and you won't find it replicated locally. The menu is seasonal, so you can always try something new. It's the kind of place where you can say to the bartender "I'm feeling something gin based, maybe something blackberry flavored" and they will make you a unique cocktail based on what you're feeling, even if you don't know exactly what you want. During the month of December, they hold "miracle at mezzo"- a Christmas themed pop-up that was previously hosted at intermezzo. During the cooler months, weekends and during the Christmas popup, it's gets extremely crowded, sometimes forming a line out the door. Depending on the weather, they will open up the front garage style door for more standing space. You should expect a 30-37$ tab for two cocktails, or maybe 15-18$ if you catch a happy hour special.
