I really like this place. It's hard to find seating especially when they have live music but you may get lucky like we did and snag a seat at the bar. I love their Happy Hour specials for wine and charcuterie. Their boards are down really well. Bottles aren't cheap I but they're not expensive either. Try the Smoked Salmon Martini and burger sliders. It's directly across the street from the Meranova Guest Inn. We popped in for a drink and a lite meal on a Friday and there was a live (loud) band in the adjacent outside alley which was packed with patrons. We chose a spot at a communal corner table inside and we could still enjoy the music and try to talk. They've got a very large selection (at least 50) of wines by the glass available in three sizes to promote experimentation and they'll even offer you a taste if you aren't sure. They operate in a team service approach and we had at least 6 different people take orders, bring tastes and get us food and water. We felt well looked after. I liked the varied wine options. We also ordered a small salad to share then a large charcuterie platter which was a decent amount of food but seemed comprised of pre-cut grocery store cheese and deli meats. We are local and have passed by often seeing the place very busy with decent music. Finally visited on June 1. Wine and beer were good. Don't waste your money on the truffle popcorn- zero truffle flavor and covered with super salty Parmesan shavings. You can get better popcorn from a bag at the grocery store. The musician (I think his name was Sean but he didn't introduce himself) for the evening must be a popular fav as he spent 30 minutes socializing before his set was to start, then stressing out for 15 minutes trying to get his gear to work. But the main thing bringing my friends and I here was the cheese plate and the quality of that has gone down tremendously.. the cheese is cubes and it has bar nut mix and 6 crackers.. super poor quality. And the price has gone up for it too. $27 dollars for a so so cheese plate. I will still come here because the wine is good and the service is great. Went to Stirling on a wet January night. Atmosphere was warm and inviting (live music in the courtyard) as well as the bartender, Renee. Met some great people and we had a great time. The wine was very good, (had the Malbec). The Buffalo dip was pretty tasty but the prosciutto and fig flatbread was just mediocre. Would definitely come back for a drink or the generous happy hours but would plan to do dinner somewhere else. read more

Of course we enjoyed every moment of it! All of the wines and beers we tried were delicious, the snacks were fresh made, and there was plenty of water to go round. so disappointed!!! Ive been going here for the last 2 years on the weekends and have always enjoyed it. But this weekend..totally different experience. I ordered my usual NZ Souv Blanc. Waitress asks if I wanted *3 different sized pours.* I ve never been asked that before, but I say the 10oz is good and will last through my evening. I carry an insulated wine glass because its so hot outside and transfer my wine to keep it cold. She brought my wine and Im like NO FREAKING WAY is this 10oz!! I poured it into my 12 oz insulated wine glass and NOPE!!! Doesnt even fill halfway. I probably got 5 or 6 oz but paid .....are you sitting....$20.99 for a "supposed" 10oz glass of wine! Who rips off customers off like this?! Did the waitress take a few sips? Did the bartender have a brain hemorrhage? Did the cashier get confused?? Did I complain....nope. These days I dont complain to get called "karen," because we al know its a *sit down, shut up, and take what you get* society now. So instead, I just take note...post a review...and never return. listen.. Really enjoyed my first visit here with family! We came early to grab drinks before local musicians were slated to play. It started to get very busy right after we arrived. We were served very quickly. I must say, the happy hour specials are amazing here! You can get glasses of wine for $3-6, as well as small plates for a few bucks as well. The small plates they served are very good. We enjoyed the smoked salmon, mushroom flatbread, and deviled eggs. The only thing that was strange was we kept being served by different people, so it got confusing when it came time to order more items. Other than that, I still think it's a great little spot in Downtown Dunedin to enjoy small plates and drinks. read more

This will be a short review. I've been to this place twice. Pre-Covid and recently. Pre-Covid, they displayed a 4-9 happy hour, appetizers and food half priced, live music and an overall sense to make sure all guests were happy. Wine is their featured beverages. Chardonnay was light and fruity with a crisp taste on the lips. Delicious was the taste and great was the place. I would give it 4 stars. Recently, my step son and I go in with the understanding that it might not be the same. We were greeted and sat with menus. We noticed there was no happy hour, expectedly, but then waited 7 minutes for someone to come take our order. She admittedly forgot about us... but we were the only table inside and one other table on the outside makeshift patio in front of the restaurant. The wine though, was very hood. I had the house merlot which was fruity and full bodied. Very oaky but not heavy. I would give this visit a 3. So Gerald both themes would average out to 3.5 stars. read more

Sitting on the patio lookng out onto Main St, watching the people strolling by, hearing music from a few doors down, reminded me of a quiet Ybor City. Their hand rolled cigars are mild or robusto in flavor, and come in different sizes. They are sold for $5.00 each, but wait..... They do have a special of buy 5 for $20! That was my choice. The staff was great and when looking for a place to sit, a server said "the couch is calling you." It sort of was, so we plopped down, ordered some wine, lit some stogies and enjoyed the show. They do serve some cheese (charcuterie) plates but other than that, no food. Upside is the good service, friendly atmosphere and often they have music. Stopped in for the first time yesterday afternoon. We chose the patio as there was no-one else there and it was a beautiful day. We were promptly greeted by the winestress of the afternoon and she offered us menus to look over. I am pretty sure it was an owner, Luanne, that was helping us. She brought us all water and left the bottle for us. She then came back for our order. Most wines seemed to hover around $9 a glass. I did not look up a single wine they were serving as a $5 beer seemed a little better for me, today. They did have a large selection of wines to choose from. The friends we were with tried 2 different Italian wines by the glass and a riesling. They all said the wines were good and they would order the same ones again. We then ordered a charcuterie board of 2 cheeses (white but I did not hear what they chose) and prosciutto. It also included grapes, berries, nuts and chocolate. We all enjoyed the snack very much. The ambience is very comfortable and quiet even outside on the patio. There was a nice breeze wandering through so it kept us cool. Inside is a nicely decorated on the dark side wine bar to hang out at. 2 separate bars and table seating. The bathroom is unassigned meaning there is 1 and whoever gets there first gets to use it first. One bummer was the other patrons who arrived after us and allowed their 10 year old to run up and down the stairs, many times, back and forth, screaming and they were doing nothing about it. She then went on to sit at the stairs and bang the bottle opener against the stairway multiple times and this time singing very loudly and again the guardians were doing nothing about it. It was enough for me to say lets move inside but the group opted to stay put as we were there first. If you as an adult choose to bring a child to an establishment such as this one you are expected to have the child behave. If they don't behave you leave... you don't expect everyone else to put up with your loud and rude child. The only other bummer was no bicycle parking so we had to stash our bikes under the stairway around the corner. We would return as the service, wine and charcuterie were very good. It makes for a nice afternoon or evening stop. They told us when we were there (3 pm) it was the calm before the storm as it was a Saturday. Which means business must be good. I would have enjoyed a happy hour wine special as it probably would have tipped the scales to get me to try some wine. Cheers! read more

They have a wine club that really saves us money on our drinks in the long run. I just find it so comfortable there. I have lived in Dunedin for 13 years. Jolli Mons used to my my favorite. They are gone now and that is how we stumbled into Stirling. You can sit inside or outside. Live music Wed-Sunday. Order food from Flannigans next door and eat it at Stirling. I cannot think of a negative thing to say. For every Dunedin event such as parade or craft festival you can sit outside there and get the best view. 5 stars Luanne and Rob! read more

I just love the quaint town of Dunedion and Main Street hosting a wide array of shops, restaurants, bars and about anything you can imagine...I just can never wait to return to this town. Last week I was invited, with about 12 other people to a private wine tasting. I love independent business owners. The couple that runs this establishment is very knowledgeable and offer many local Florida wines along with a good assortment of wines from all over, of course they also offer craft beers. This is a unique, 1 of a kind establishment. Yes, wine bars are increasing in the Bay area, most are independents and it gives me great personal pleasure to see them pop up, for us wine lovers, there are establishments all over that offer beer from around the world. This store is quite unique. On one side they have a bar, basically for wine tasting. The other side of the store is full of wine accessories, gadgets and some fun wine extras. Yes, of course they sell wine by the bottle or case and they can special order most wines you may be searching for. The tasting was wonderful and we had a wide variety of sparkling, red and white wines. They list a few food items on the menu, but this store is all about the wine. Appreciating each wine for its unique blend of grapes which produce such a wide variety of delicious and unique smells and tantalizing tastes with each different bottle. Beside the store is a private patio with tables and chairs, so you can relax and enjoy a special glass or bottle of wine or a beer as you watch the activity on Main Street. This section was closed when I was there, as it was after business hours, but looking at this area you got a New Orleans vibe, it felt really cool. I also heard about a cigar rolling machine, that has a great blend of tobacco to compliment the wines that is located in the open patio. I will definitely return for the wine, but I can't wait to sample one of those cigars ( a bit of Ybor flair in Dunedion? ). What's a girl to do? Overpriced for bottles. The wine I liked was listed on Vivino for $15 and Stirling was charging $40. Service was terrible. Our pourer was grumpy, cursory and not very hospitable at all. Wow! Wine and cheese pairing We just returned from Napa and this wine and cheese pairing was on par if not better. I wish I remembered the name of the woman who put it together, she was right on. Asks your preferences for the wine and returns with the perfect pairing. My husband did a red flight and I did a white. Cheese, dried fruit and nuts and each perfect with the wines. We stumbled on Stirling Wines during a Craft Festival on a Sunday. Although we were looking for a beer, this place caught our attention and we're glad it did. We have spent a lot of time in Europe and we felt like we were back in Southern Europe for a day. Old charm, outdoor sitting (with shade) and we did a lot of people-watching. Cigars are welcomed. Although they do have beers, ordering one will take away from the experience of what the owners have created for the locals. The menu will be priced - Glass - Bottle - Carafe. May I suggest doing what we did and order the Carafe: - Even though you know what you which wine you ordered, A plain glass carafe for two, that is sitting on your table, yields to an unpretentious wine moment.
