DE Flooring saved the day!! We were doing a fairly extensive remodel. Hired a contractor. Sat down with him and went over everything we wanted to do, and he gave us a price. We agreed to the price. He wanted to start the work the very next week, which we agreed to. It has been a mess ever since. We got our kitchen granite through DE, so when we were in there, we talked to Sam, then Abdul. Both said they could help us. Sam went on vacation a short time later, and we dealt with Abdul the rest of the time. Abdul walked us through the whole re-do. They did it in an amazing timeframe. I really like that fact that they have sub-contractors that they can call and have them at my house in less than 2 hours - usually within 1/2 hour - 45 minutes. The results are magnificent! De flooring did a fantastic job using a single marble slab we purchased from one of their preferred slab yards for both our bathroom vanity and newly built dresser. From the beginning Matthew and the whole DE flooring staff were friendly and helpful, with lots of recommendations. They sent me a handful of slab yard recommendations and it took us going to three to find exactly what we were looking for. They worked with us on pricing, edging for the stone, recommendations for sinks (which we bought online), and were flexible on timing. They also organized getting the plumber to install the new sinks, and have subcontractors for anything you'd possibly need for a renovation. I would use DE flooring again on future jobs, and we've been really pleased with the quality of their work. read more

I am sorry I usually do not give poor ratings, but we wanted to warn others before selecting this company for repair. They came out to seal our marble counters and floor in a bathroom in our new home. When the owner produced the bill, we were charged for complete sealing of the floor while the gentlemen only sprayed a few spots. When we questioned the bill, the owner sent the workers back to do the entire job we had paid for. When they finished, the floor had footprints, streaks, a damaged cabinet door, even spilled spots that were not wiped up when it dried. We reported to the owner, as we did not him to send these workers out to do this poor of a job to others. He indicated that he would come out the next week to see it. Needless to say, we have not seen him and today are paying another reputable company to clean up the mess. Their comment when coming in was "OH MY!" read more

We went to DE to get a new surround for our fireplace, and found ourselves overwhelmed at the large selection of tile/marble/quartz/granite to choose from. I really wanted a one piece quartz for the fireplace so the veining would match up, but the cost of a one piece quartz was much higher than tile. The very next day, the actual owner (Abdul) of the store came over to measure our fireplace for sizing accuracy. I asked him to measure our countertops since we wanted that done in a future job. Abdul then told us if we got the countertops NOW , he'd throw in the fireplace surround QUARTZ for free. He gave us the estimate on the countertop/fireplace which we found to be reasonable. He texted me a picture of the quartz/backsplash I wanted so I could make sure that it is the one he promised. He also promised the work to be complete by Thanksgiving which was only two weeks away. We have a large kitchen, too. So many contractors promise a time frame, but hardly any ever keep it. Not so with DE. They finished the countertop/backsplash/sink/electrical job on time. I found Abdul to be truly concerned about making the customer happy and giving them what they want. Even AFTER we shook on the deal, Abdul offered us a farmhouse sink/faucet and under counter lighting for FREE. He also says he will make us a matching lazy Susan from the quartz cut out from the fireplace as a gift. No business I dealt with offers more AFTER the deal is decided on. So what are other reasons to choose DE over the others?: 1). First, they have been in business 30 years and have been growing. I notice they keep the same employees which means there is experience and stability in the business. Track record says a lot. 2). They have a HUGE selection of any type of stone (tile, quarts, granite slabs on site) almost anything you want. 3). ALL the workers that did the job (countertop, tile, plumbing, electric) are professionals -- perfectionists at their job. (And they were nice to my animals which is important since I have 4 dogs and 3 cats that get in the way). They know what they are doing and work fast and efficiently. I was impressed with the electrician who--in his effort to install undercounting lighting-- saw that the original house builder's electricians did some wiring behind the wall which was not up to code. Even though it would've been much easier for him to do his job like theirs, he refused and did extra work to make it within code standards. I admire that because I wouldn't have known the difference. Also my cabinet door needed resizing after the farmhouse sink was installed. I told Abdul that we were planning on refacing cabinet doors in a few months so just cut it at the bottom to fit without worrying about the trim detail matching the other cabinets. Abdul insisted it match the others, however, and so his carpenter worked on it to make it look perfect like the others. I was quite impressed. In other words, DE doesn't cut corners. They want to do things right. My toaster oven was against my wooden pantry and it was discolored from the heat that burnt the wood some. It was covered up by the toaster oven so no one can see it. However, (at no extra cost to me), Abdul insisted it be covered with tile so there wouldn't be a fire hazard there anymore 4). Finally, because we originally wanted just the fireplace done, we were not expecting this big countertop expense so soon. Abdul offered us financing without interest which made this job affordable for our budget. I don't know any other contractor that would do that. Needless to say, we are EXTREMELY happy with our experience with DE. I had no idea the difference that under counter lighting and farmhouse sink would make in giving our kitchen a "wow" factor. I am grateful that these luxuries were even offered to us even after the deal was made. I have utmost respect for this business and will consider them definitely for future work on my house. Absolutely horrible experience. My wife and I have never felt more un-welcomed in a retail establishment. Basically the female salesperson told us the cabinets were going to be way out of our price range (didn't even know how many cabinets or what kind we needed). Obviously didn't want to spend anytime helping us. Too bad, looks like we'll go elsewhere to buy our flooring, cabinets, countertops, backsplash, etc... Bye Bye $20,000. The man at the door was nice but the female floor salesperson should NOT be working in retail. We will never go back and defintely steer others from going there as well. Edit: The reason we were paid no attention is because we showed up in t-shirts and athletic shorts on a hot summer day (with our 1-year old). DE did a beautiful job restoring and recreating my kitchen after water leak damage. New cabinets were built, existing granite was matched, and everything else, including sheetrock, painting, and clean-up was done exactly to schedule and with professional workmanship. I had a new kitchen in 5 days. DE will be my go-to for future renovations. Recommended highly! read more

Nice guy but during install they used a different granite in our guest bath after we paid for two matching slabs to cover the kitchen and two baths. They didn't discuss using a different granite and now the new house is done and I feel like they pulled a fast one. Way overpriced and I would not recommend using de flooring to anyone. I purchased my flooring at this store. The product was fine but I paid $6 a sq. foot for installation by their tile installer. I had asked for a thin grout line not wide & I ended up with no grout line. Also, the installer left grout all over my floors which I thought was dirt but when I tried to clean it, it did not come off. When I complained to Abdul (the owner) he begrudgingly sent the installer out to remove it but the installer gave me grout remover & said to mop the floors 3 times a week & it will eventually come off! Really?? It was a horrible job & I'm stuck with it! I do not recommend doing business with this store. read more

My husband & I were "looking" for carpet to replace damaged carpet from hurricane Harvey. We visited DE Flooring on a Saturday, saw carpet we liked, Abdul came over that same evening, measured the space & job was totally completed 3 days later - on Wednesday! Wonderful job & very hard working gentlemen. Abdul suggested that perhaps we would like wood stairs to match our living room floors. It was worth a try. They brought over several wood samples until we agreed on the one we liked that matched our floor. One hard-working gentleman built, sanded, varnished & installed all the stairs. He literally worked non-stop for two days. He did a superb job!! Worst experience ever. Estimated 1-2 week job ended up taking 5 weeks. Workers were unsupervised, made more mistakes than I can count. Company didn't want to take responsibility for anything, only worried about what they could upcharge us for. Work was sloppy and unprofessional. Backsplash wasn't Installed as designed, grout color varied from off white to dark gray, acid wash was splashed on stainless appliances, and the shower door wouldn't open once it was installed so they had to cut a piece off a marble shelf next to the shower so it would open. Worst of all, they brag that they are more expensive than other companies because they're worth it! What a joke.. read more

Would not use them EVER again. Had them do some minor repairs and a kitchen remodel a couple years ago. Every day it was an adventure, I did not have to look hard to see what they screwed up, just as another person said. They use day labors without experience and without supervision. I finally kicked them out and hired another company to complete part of the job and I completed the rest. The cabinet doors they built are hanging out of square with very little use and several are not symmetrical and I will have to live with this, because I cannot afford another contractor to fix their screw-ups. They had to redo many items when I caught them and stood my ground. The final straw was when the owner Abdul said he would do one thing but told the contractor something else and then lied to us and he would not make it right. One of the funniest items(I can laugh now but was frustrated to the max then) was when the contractor brought in some pine crown molding to put on some Oak cabinets(and they are not painted, but stained with polyurethane applied). When I asked about it he said they do not make Oak crown molding!! I said yes they do and argued with this contractor to the point I went and bought the crown molding for him to use, then he stole the remaining molding he did not use!! It was a very frustrating experience to say the least. Do not trust this company to do any work for you!! read more

Very disappointed on our first visit. We wanted someone who could redo the tile and upgrade our bath and shower. The gentleman who meet us at the door looked at our picture and immediately referred us to the girl behind the desk. She looked at the picture then looked at us as if we were asking for the impossible. She then flipped a few folders like she was stalling for something to say, then said cost would be $10,000 to $20,000. There was no discussion about tile or anything. When we mentioned we had been quoted $5000 just for the tile work and not the shower door she said that was because that company hires Joe Blow off the street. Really? And DE Flooring has their own plumbers, tile workers and demolition experts on their payroll? The job apparently was not a big job and not enough money to even quote on. Why don't they just say the job is too small? She said they have enough work with the Harvey remodels they are busy (So they don't need the work and don't quote anything that's not a complete remodel?) Very disappointed mainly because they made us feel like we were not worthy of their time. That was the first time we visited their showroom and we'll never go there again. read more
