I would like to tell you how my install went, but it never happened. We had an insurance job and needed our entire countertop replaced. All from the Big Freeze where our ceiling caved in. Frederick came out and gave us a quote...a very high one. We told him we had to wait to have the insurance job approved and we would get back to him. Once insurance came in, we called him (about 2 weeks later) He told us it would be 6 weeks and if we had just paid out of our pockets, he could have done it sooner. He began to belittle us because we wanted wait for insurance. The truth is, I could have paid for 20 jobs and not worried, it was the point. We went elsewhere because of his attitude, saved $3000 dollars, got it done in a week, and they look fantastic. High price, smart arse attitude....dont bother with Nancy's. read more

While a guest, recovering from surgery after TS Laura I saw 2 big, new Nancy's vans pull up, do most of a job leaving 10% undone to blight neighbor. Preface: Nancy's Cabinets came very highly recommended from a BOI friend who renovates houses so I figured I couldn't go wrong and the previous owner of my home had used them after Ike. I wanted to match the granite when redoing a separate counter. "Perfect!" I thought. Maybe they tried to screw me and blow me off because I was a small $1,800 job and not a complete install who knows? Read my saga below and demand better service if you choose to use them. Apparently my experience is an outlier and most people are pleased. The facts: 1) After I paid my deposit it took nearly 10 months to complete a three day job (ironic because she insisted it was a one day kind of job). 2) I wanted to redo cabinets at the same time but Nancy refused to coordinate with me and my cabinet maker to do demolition and install on separate days (she repeatedly insisted this was a one day ordeal) 3) I'm a busy professional who has limited weekday availability and a schedule that is determined month by month. I couldn't commit to a date months in advance. 4) I made it known that if an opening came up midweek keep me penciled in on a "wait list" because I have random days off. Never heard from her. Try a couple times to schedule an appointment within the current month. 5) Seven or eight months go by and I'm sick of getting the run around. I go to the store determined to get this resolved. The kitchen has bothered me more and more since I moved in. HILARIOUSLY SHE CAN NOT FIND MY ESTIMATE OR MY DEPOSIT and tries to convince me I am confused. We've been emailing back and forth for MONTHS at this point. I'm in the right place ma'am. 6) I go home and come back with a copy of the estimate and a copy of the returned check to help jog her memory. She's getting frustrated with me at this point and says "fine we'll do it tomorrow." 7) The regular crew consists of her husband (Frank I think) and another full-time employee. Both skilled and easy to work with. But that's not who showed up. The next day random sub-contractors whom I could not communicate with show up. At this point I've waited so long I'm not settling for unskilled fly-by night labor. I politely turn them away and discuss with Nancy my concerns. Come hell or high water we're doing this next Monday. 8) Monday rolls around and the A-Team shows up around 5pm and call it quits a few hours later. 9) The following day they come back at the same time and finish the install but leave before doing the tile and grout work on the backsplash. I call and she says that wasn't part of the deal despite it being clearly written on the estimate. After alerting her to the error she agrees to finish the job as she is contractual obligated to do. 10) Despite saying on the estimate they would replace the appliances they moved they did not. I call her back and discuss this with her, she says it's not worth her crew's time so I should hire a handyman and she'll split the cost with me. Whatever. Fine. I send her the receipt for 80 bucks and foolishly expected to get a 40 dollar check in the mail. I never did. After thoughts: Needless to say this left a less than stellar impression on me. This was a nightmare I could have avoided by using home depot or probably ANYONE else. First time home-owner but I never could have imagined things were this much of a PITA. Now I know. What sticks with me is the refusal to work with the cabinet maker to make his job much easier and stiffing me the forty bucks. All in all inconsequential amount of money but I shouldn't have had to deal with it in the first place (remember R&R appliances was on the estimate). Like I said, I your mileage may vary. I will never go back which is too bad because the work was actually really good. read more

Excellent quality kitchen solid surface installation, for our mid- sized renovation. Fred was very helpful in our materials selection and accessible throughout the install . The crew was detail-oriented, careful, and neat. Reasonable (though not cheap) pricing. They made clear that another contractor needed to do the backsplash, but they coordinated with us and the backsplash people on timing, and they ordered the tile for us. August-2021 - We had a leak that destroyed a small section our fiberboard cabinets, partially collapsed and broke the granite top. We began to smell mold because of the humid climate in Galveston. I went to Home Depot and was told it would be an 18 week process to get cabinet and granite replaced. I called Nancy's and spoke with Fred. He set up an appointment the same day, we discussed the details, he gave me a good price and a date within two weeks to complete the project. As promised, he called and was ready to install within the two weeks. The workers were very friendly and cooperative. Although they did not speak much english, they were quick to address any concerns with just a point of my finger. They were extremely proficient at their work and addressed any concerns with a big smile. There could be a little miscommunication but be patient and kind, you will have a job, done to perfection.
